When the delivery crew arrived, they refused to bring the refrigerator into my home, claiming my house was "too dirty" and that they could not bring the appliance across the threshold. I have photographs taken immediately after they left that I believe contradict those claims. While the crew was still at my home, I called the store hoping someone could help resolve the situation. I was told there was nothing the store could do because the decision was entirely up to the delivery crew. The drivers told us we could use their appliance dolly, but they also said they would not be there long. Because I have a back condition, that was not a realistic option. We paid for professional delivery and installation, not to be left without a solution. After the crew left, I spoke with a supervisor and offered to provide photographs documenting the condition of my home. I was told there was nothing they could do because the drivers' decision was final. No one asked to see the photos, investigated my complaint, or attempted to resolve the issue. I ultimately refused the refrigerator, and Hamlin & Kersey refunded my purchase. While I appreciate receiving the refund, it does not excuse the lack of accountability or the way my wife and I were treated. When a customer has evidence that disputes the reason for refusing a delivery, the company should at least review it instead of automatically siding with the delivery crew. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Hamlin & Kersey.
