I thought this place was ok. It's a bit pricey & I wish there were smaller sizes. I got the roasted oolong tea with coconut jelly since they ran out of sesame & boba when ordering. Not sure if I'd go back unless I really needed boba.
The drink was okay. The tea aroma was strong and pretty decent. Service was fine nothing outstanding. Spacious area for dining because they have another restaurant combined together in there. However, the price was too expensive. Also,THEY CHARGE FOR LESS ICE OF $0.75. The menu does not mention it. When I confirm with cashier, and that's what he said for less ice. They charge me without knowing
came here with a friend after getting dim sum across the street. I saw the reviews and was a little skeptical due to them being so new. I ordered a uji matcha latte and a OG coffee for my friend. she didn't like the coffee too much, but the matcha latte wasn't bad. they whisk it correctly it seems. but was it the best I'd ever had, not really.
New boba tea shop in Eden center! We came for grand opening and got a cute tote bag and even saw the dragon dance I got the golden mellow milk tea (60% sugar) and it was so good! still a touch on the sweet side but the tea was good quality and it was creamy and smooth and had a caramel-y aftertaste (vs some places that are watered down) There are lotsss of tables so plenty of seating inside!
I gave The Tea two chances, but I just couldn't bring myself to like it. I ordered the Coconut Matcha Latte with boba, and my sister tried the Passionfruit Green Tea. One thing I did enjoy was watching the baristas make the matcha from scratch. However, the matcha tasted very watered down, with only a subtle hint of flavor. The Passionfruit Green Tea was even more disappointing. It was overly sweet, with a syrupy consistency that made it undrinkable. We ended up throwing it away. I really wanted to love this place, especially with its extensive and unique menu, but unfortunately, the drinks just didn't measure up.
I've tried The Tea on three separate occasions and I truly do not understand the hype. I first heard of it on instargam from all these excited people talking about how they couldn't wait for it to open, so I went there about 4 months ago right around the time they opened. First impression was that I walked into a forgotten basement. There were chairs and tables in random places, also buckets and boxes in corners. It was dirty. The employees already looked like they could care less about being there. The other times I went back, not much has changed. It still looked dirty and employees looked bored. I've asked several employees for recommendations or further clarifications on drinks and they had no clue, very unhelpful. For the price they charge, they could've cleaned up the place and trained their employees by now. I wasn't impressed.
To all the boba lovers out there, new boba shop (literally the 5th or 6th one) opened up at Eden Center! "the TEA" is a local chain from SoCal (?) so there's been a lot of hype around this opening of this branch. Apparently the lines are out the door during popular hours, but when I stopped by a couple Friday afternoons ago, there was no line. With new boba places I try, I tend to go for the black milk tea with tapioca pearls so I can have some sort of baseline to go off of. They also have a variety of different teas (a whole chart of the most mild to the most strong tea flavors) along with other non-tea based drinks. GOLDEN MELLOW MILK TEA +0.75 for brown sugar tapioca (I think, but sad!) There's only one size and it's very large, lol. I guess you could split the drink into two. After tax, the drink was almost 8.00, RIP. Inflation nowadays! I got this with 30% sugar and thought it was a bit sweeter than I'd prefer (probably additional sweetness from the brown sugar based pearls). Overall, the tea flavor was very fragrant and brewed fresh. However, I thought the milk flavor was weak and the whole drink felt watery. I didn't love the strong brown sugar aftertaste with the more watered down drink, but that might be a personal preference. I'm down to try other tea flavors and toppings here. Would recommend and would come back.

The set-up of the store is a little weird because you can't see the menu from where you'd line up to order and the kiosk is for food ordering only. I originally wanted the uji matcha latte, but it wasn't available so I ordered the toasted thai milk tea instead. The drink came with a brûlée foam on top, which was a bit rich for me and wouldn't mix into the drink all the way and tasted like melted ice cream towards the end. The drink itself was fine, not the strongest thai tea flavor and a bit bitter for my taste. Nothing about this place stood out to me and it isn't much different from other places in the area.
This is a very solid place for quality boba, but pricey. There are some unique teas and options on the menu, but it doesn't hurt to try the common milk tea and matcha drinks if you're willing to pay. There is a single large size, so you can see how that factors into the price a bit. For my base line drink on my first visit, I got the No. 18 Golden Mellow Milk Tea with boba. The milk tea and tapioca itself were very good, but I wouldn't say that the taste distinguishes itself quite as much for me as other places. Still enjoyed it on a warm day. It's very spacious inside wi plenty of seating, so great for groups of friends. Service was also good and they placed all of our drinks in a sturdy bag. Very nice if you're getting your boba on the go.
Once we heard a new boba shop replaced Vivi, we had to try it out! - House Signature Fruit Tea -- flavorful from the variety of fruit bits - Hojicha Latte -- not too sweet adjusting sweetness level to 60% - Popcorn Chicken -- surprisingly large portion size for the price; more than enough to share The interior is spacious, but the layout was a bit confusing. Their selections are on the pricey side and it is nice that their matcha is imported from Japan!
Another new boba place in Eden. I was there for lunch and decided to try them out afterward. Now, this place came from CA which I have heard about. This used to be Vivi. I also notice they will have two more vendors coming in. Both will offer food. One of my favorite is Seasalt at TeaDM. I want I try here and compare both. The coffee is very strong but the salt is very light. I still think the TeaDM is better. My other drink is the House Signature Fruit drink. I do like they have a lot of fruit bits in it so that's good. They also offer food but I was too full from my lunch so didn't order any. I wasn't wow by the drinks I ordered. I guess it's another new place to try if you have been to your other favorite boba place in Eden and want something new.
Tried their Golden Mellow milk tea that was presented as the regular milk tea, it lacked flavor. They do have a chart showing the boldness of teas, the Golden Mellow was on the middle. Maybe I should have picked a stronger tea.
Maybe I got the wrong drink. But the fruit snow I got was just like strawberry syrup. It didn't taste like fresh strawberry slushy is what I was thought it was going to taste like. You also can't get alternative milk with it. My friend got the golden mellow. The service took 5-10 min. The place felt gross, old, and grimy. I didn't want to sit down because the chairs there was pen mark. It didn't feel clean at all in here. I really wanted to like this place because of the many food options and I want Eden center to thrive.
With this spot recently opened, finally got the chance to check it out. Took me a minute to figure out where it was located as it's in a combined storefront with Pho Ga Vang. The vibe was very busy and less of a tea / coffee shop as it's in a combined open area with a Pho shop. Therefore, you get more of the loud noises from the restaurant side making it less welcoming to sit down have a tea / coffee and a place to hang out or work at. I ordered the Crème Brûlée OG ( Cafe Kem Trứng), it was absolutely amazing! The ice was nicely crushed into small tiny pieces in which it kept the drink super cold throughout and didn't melt as fast. The Crème Brûlée / Kem Trứng topping was perfect--creamy, milky, right amount of sweetness to balance out the intense and strong coffee. I will definitely be back--probably not to work or hangout at but will definitely be a repeated spot for my Cafe Kem Trứng cravings! read more
I have been here three different times over the past couple months, and it progressively got worse. I got the fresh fruit mango tea and it was amazing. It was the perfect blend of fresh fruit, tea, and it tasted really refreshing. The second time I came here, I got the dragonfruit tea. It was alright, but it tasted very watered down and didn't really taste like anything. The third time I came here, I got the fresh fruit mango tea with boba because I remembered it was good. It was nasty. They put way too much mango puree and it was very thick. Thick to the point where I could barely suck it up with a straw. I asked them if they could remake it and the person at the counter gave me a very nasty attitude. They remade it, and put absolutely no boba in it. It somehow was worse than before, and I threw it out. I will not be returning. read more
This is where Vivi Bubble Tea used to be. This place kept changing hands and names. Weirdly they do business on UberEats as Vivi! Upon arriving, there's a sign saying pickup here for ViVi, The Tea, and bunch of other restaurants. I wondered if it's a scam. Why so many names? If they are officially now The Tea, why not do business as The Tea on the app as well? They told me they ran out of tempura which was part of my order. They refused to refund me and instead asked me to pick something else. I asked for sweet potato fries. Nope, they ran out of that as well. How do you run out of fries, the most basic item? I eventually chose some croquettes -- cheaper item by the way; they should refund me the price difference. The redeeming grace is the wait wasn't long. Right out front they have a DJ playing loud music. It's Friday night, I get it but so loud! Even when inside the restaurant it was hard to hear each other and to talk across the counter (about my order). read more

Make way - there's a new boba spot in town! The Tea just opened in Eden Center (where the ViVi's used to be). Overall, the drinks are good and the tea is prominent. There is also a good variety of flavors to choose from. Drinks do seem pricey from the get go at $6-$8 per cup, but that's because they are only one size (a large). Service was quick. The only downside is the look and feel of the store. The ceilings were leaking (not to the fault of the store, but more so Eden Center itself) so they had to place buckets around the store. Additionally, the inside decor is confusing and not very aesthetic forward. There is still remnants of ViVi's and another business, but they do not mesh well with One Tea. I think if they worked on their decor concept a little more, it would be much better. read more
I appreciate how this bubble tea place uses fresh and all-natural ingredients, instead of powders and food coloring. The layout of the place is a tad awk, the menu is hard to see from the line so I took photos so I could peruse while waiting. The person taking my order was pleasant and helpful. I ended up ordering the coco mango signature drink with 30% sugar level and it was perfect! It was a mix of coconut pudding, mango, and mango pieces. I thought it was a nice balance of mango and coconut flavors. The 30% sweetness level was just right for me, not too sweet but also not bland. Looking forward to trying other flavors! read more
Honestly a little overhyped, but still a solid new boba spot. Saw this all over foodie dmv instagram and decided to check it out. Location in the Eden center is excellent, love killing two birds with one stone here food and drink wise :) Service was fast and friendly which was excellent. The drinks themselves were definitely solid, no huge complaints. Good boba texture, milk to tea ratio was great, and loved their variety of unique toppings (will have to come back and try more). Loved that there is an earl gray option, and tea was absolutely fragrant, but I could've liked it a little stronger. Their creme brûlée topping wasn't my favorite of all the boba spots I've been to, but still tasty. Nothing over the top taste wise but again, totally worth a check out. Online there were loads of pictures of this place looking a little "aesthetic" but be warned that is not the case LOL. Loads of indoor seating but not as advertised haha. TLDR; solid boba spot in Eden center with loads of options, not as aesthetic as some will lead you to believe. Come for the taste!!! read more

Came here on their soft opening 4/26 and I am so excited to have this new boba shop in town. As a SoCal native, I've been longing for a solid boba shop that also offers quality fresh fruit tea - the TEA IS IT. We got a couple drinks, the Golden Mellow milk tea, the SeaSalt Cream OG, Fresh Milk Matcha, and Fresh Strawberry Green Tea. All the drinks were perfect at 60% - the teas we got with boba which were cooked to perfection. the coffee is extremely strong so we did have to let the ice melt a bit. We also ordered food, Pork Katsu Curry and Guy-Don. I forgot to take a picture but it was all very delicious. Since the location is still in its soft opening, they are working hard to get everything out timely so please be patient with them. They're all very kind and have great suggestions if you need them. Very excited to have a new go to boba shop now! read more
So excited about this new addition to the Eden center! Went there today and tried their OG sea salt coffee (with 60% sugar) and was pleasantly surprised. I'm usually a TeaDM regular for sea salt coffee but I think this one has become my new favorite. The coffee flavor is rich and strong while the sea salt cream is smooth, thick, and deliciously salted. When you walk in to the shop, you can smell the tea aroma and it's very enticing. They also have an extensive menu that I can't wait to try more of. They have options like sesame cream, and their fruit looks so fresh. Their matcha selection is great (they have many types of matcha drinks, not just plain matcha milk teas). And I saw them making their matcha drinks with real matcha tea powder. Can't wait to come back! read more

My boyfriend and I wanted to give this place a try after seeing IG reels and posts. Located in the corner of Eden Center where Vivi's Bubble Tea used to be. The combinations offered are different than other bubble tea places and honestly, it was quite difficult to make a choice. I was craving some caffeine and gave their Fresh Mango Matcha a try. This drink contained freshly whisked ceremonial matcha, fresh mango bites (ripe and not so ripe), and milk. I was unaware that this drink contained milk and wish it was made known. It was still a delicious drink overall, but I was a bit thrown off by the milk. My boyfriend got the Lychee Aiyu and it was also very delicious. We did adjust the sweetness level and the ice level to our liking. The Lychee Aiyu was very refreshing and wasn't artificially sweet either. The overall space has ample seating and the decor is very cute and zen. They also offer vietnamese street snacks which we did not try as we had eaten a big lunch prior. We will definitely be coming back to try out some of their other drinks. read more

New boba! The Tea is located where ViVi used to be. I think they are now sharing the space because you can still order ViVi food from the kiosk, but the boba is all The Tea. Lots of variety of flavors and specialty drinks like the mango sago and various matcha. Super fresh, as you can see them put fresh mango or scoop fresh taro! I got the Ujimatcha Oreo (I neverrrrrr get non-traditional flavors like Oreo, but OMG this hit the spot! Just the right amount of Oreo chunks and the matcha was freeeeesssh. Service was a bit on the slow side despite it not being busy, but there was only one girl working register and drinks. Overall delicious and I'm sure after they get their feet under them with the interior work, this will be a great spot! read more

Ordered the uji matcha milk tea and was excited to have another boba shop that uses ceremonial grade matcha. The taste was pleasant and I was able to confirm that there is indeed whisked matcha as opposed to a shaken powder that many shops use when I found a piece of whisk in my cup. I would come again and try other drinks and hopefully not drink up any matcha whisk this time. read more
