We had called another place prior to coming to Familia Ink, it was not the most pleasant experience whatsoever and will not be going back there. Moved here from Vegas, so we searched and searched for a Veteran Owned establishment and came across Familia. My Daughter was so nervous about coming in and talking to someone. Lady at front desk was very pleasant to us upon arrival. Then asked what we were looking for, my daughter explained it to her, then she proceeded to go ask a gentleman named Stax. Lady actually took us back to where Stax was working and he was so Amazing and kind to her, took time from what he was doing to speak to her and asked my daughter questions about what she would like. Stax made it so comfortable and easy. Like we were family. This is EXACTLY what we were looking for in a business and for that we will be booking our appointments with Stax! I told them what I wanted and , though they did have a busy schedule, had mercy on me and paired me with Nick. Nick listened to what I wanted , offered his professional input and the resulting tattoo came out even BETTER than I had hoped! I can honestly say it's the first time I've had that result with an artist . High points: -He is able to listen , understand and make happen what is wanted in a piece of art . - it was not a large , expensive piece but Nick treated the entire process as if it were : telling me every step of the way what he was doing next and making sure I was happy/comfortable. Most importantly - he didn't rush even though I dropped in on them. - He's not a "heavy handed " artist . Famous had me lie on the table with my arm out and started the tattooing process. Famous was so kind and considerate. I was glad for the breaks when he changed colors, it gave my arm a break. There were other tattoo artists there and when they weren't busy, they came over and watched and visited with me during the process. They use all new needles with every tattoo. My safety was Famous' concern. I will definitely go back to Famous or any one of the artists from this shop! It wasn't too painful and I got a priceless tattoo.
