I first came to this shop a little over a year ago for a Friday the 13th event and got tattooed by Vinh--and I've been coming back ever since! What started as a small flash tattoo turned into an incredible creative journey. After that first experience, I decided to work with Vinh on a deeply meaningful piece dedicated to Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women. He was so engaged, compassionate, and intentional in understanding the heart behind the design. The final result was absolutely stunning--so much so that it inspired me to continue working with him over the past 13 months to complete an entire sleeve. Every session with Vinh has been nothing short of positive, comfortable, and downright entertaining. He's professional, thoughtful, and genuinely fun to be around. On top of that, everyone at the shop--from the owner to the other artists (Tibo and Matt)--has been incredibly genuine, welcoming, and kind. There's such a great energy in the space, and you can tell they all care about what they do and the people who walk through the door. I can't wait to show off my finished sleeve and see what Vinh and I create next. I'd recommend this shop (and especially Vinh!) to absolutely anyone looking for great work and an even better experience. read more

I had the best experience! I got a tattoo from Danielle and she was amazing. From the start of the tattoo prep she was very kind and professional, helping me where I was unsure placement wise and talking me through the tattoo once it started. The shop itself was very clean and well managed. Great music playing and great people working in it. The tattoo turned out exactly how I imagined and I already have plans to come back again asap! Definitely recommend for good vibes and good tattoos/piercings! read more

I have heard good things about this particular tattoo parlor and so I went in and made an appointment with Tibo. A week later, my artwork was drawn up and I was in getting it put on my arm. Tibo's customer service is excellent. He gets the idea of what you want, draws it up, offers, different ideas, and then makes the appointment. The day of my appointment I went in, we discussed everything and hours later, I was done. In the meantime, Matt , the piercing person was also very professional and polite, and hooked me up with new jewelry. Great service, I love my tattoo and I love my new piercing jewelry. read more

I've been getting tattooed by Vinh Long for 6 years now, and let me tell you--this man is so awesome! Every piece he's done for me has been amazing! His attention to detail, creativity, and ability is so so great! Whether I come to him with my own ideas or have just let him get creative with whatever he wants to do, it has always turned out the best! But it's not just about one artist. Every single person in that shop is super talented. The vibe is always on point--chill, welcoming, and full of laughs. You walk in and instantly feel like part of the crew. No egos, no awkward energy--just genuine, down-to-earth talent that knows how to put you at ease while delivering top-tier work. At almost 75 I decided to get my first tattoo in honor of my sister who is in a memory care facility. I decided on the forget-me-not flower, which is the flower for Alzheimer's and dementia. My last artist moved out of state so I was on a hunt for someone local to me with a good reputation. I'm so lucky to have found The Tattoo Room. Very clean, very relaxed atmosphere with very experienced artists. I had my first tattoo done last week by Joey Fisher. He was very nice, a wonderful artist and did exactly what I was hoping for. I really liked all the info he gave me about what to expect in the healing process and care from his tattooing style. Really great guy all around! My daughter and I will definitely be back and are looking forward to getting more work from Joey as well as Danielle, Heather, Hana and Tonya! UPDATE: Since I posted my first review 3 years ago, I have been back many times working on a portrait leg sleeve by Danielle. She is an extremely talented artist and I really enjoy my time at the shop (which is typically 4 hours every few months). Thanks so much and look forward to seeing you all in January! read more

This place is WAAAAY better than you would assume for being in Simi. You really don't have to go to NoHo for solid work. I took my 16 y/o daughter here for her first ear piercing, and Trish treated her great! We've already recommended Trish to several people who've gone in. I had interviewed an artist for a coverup and was really happy with her ideas - even if I ultimately chose a different artist. I recommend them. read more

Very professional and clean shop! Danielle and Tibo are awesome artists, can't wait to get another tat!

My 4 1/2-year-old and I got our ears pierced today. My daughter was so excited to get her first earrings, and Andi was absolutely amazing with her and walked her through every step. She even let my daughter pierce a teddy bears ears and take it home. She was kind and gentle. She goes above and beyond to make sure her clients are taken care of. She not only answered all the questions I had before hand, but made herself available in case we had any other questions afterward. We would definitely go back to her again! Thank you so much Andi!! read more

Had my first tattoos yesterday here. Vinh did stellar work, was very friendly and asked about my comfort level in procedure (did not know what to expect tho i have fairly high pain threshold) easy session and beautiful work. couple other shops turned me down when they saw designs i wanted cause it was. "too easy" no problem with Vinh. recommended for newbies and i'd trust his talent with art of any complexity. read more

My Dad's tattoo of Walt and Micky turned out great. I'm going in for my first one soon and I know it will be amazing!!

This review is both for The Tattoo Room, as well as their artist, Vinh. I've had nothing but wonderful experiences with both. 3 out of my 8 tattoos have been at The Tattoo Room, which I think says something. The shop is always relaxed, welcoming and they play some great tunes. Most importantly, it's clean and the staff is really professional. I noticed there is a horrible comment about the shop and Vinh. I'm not sure what's up her butt, but her review seems to be coming from a vindictive place, not from a rational, reliable experience. I realize I wasn't there for her appointment, but seeing as I've been in the shop more than once, and I've been tattooed by both Vinh and Heather, I can't really take her review seriously. First of all, definitely no blood anywhere in sight, and $100 for a tattoo is pennies!! I'm also trying to imagine the staff being uninviting or unprofessional...but Vinh being cold and unwelcoming to a potential customer, well, I honestly CAN'T imagine it. Vinh in fact is one of the sweetest, kindest, most inclusive people, but what do I know, Ive only known him for a decade. Anywhooo, in my opinion, The Tattoo Room is a hidden gem. Not only does Heather run the place with another badass female friend, she also owns an animal rescue. Occasionally she will set up flash days and all the profits towards her animal rescue. How cool is that? Check them out: under one sky animal rescue read more

My Wife made an appointment for 3 weeks from when she called originally. She called the next day to cancel the appointment which again was for over 3 weeks away and they said they would not give back the $50 deposit. Then when i went to call a few days later the disrespectful guy on the phone said and i quote"Hey Man, F*** You!" then hung up!. I own my own successful business and i would never treat a potential customer in that manner especially over something silly like a $50 deposit. I will not remove this review for I was cussed out and hung up on. I did indeed ask if you were in the business of thievery. That was the professional response I was given,"Hey Man, F*** You!" then, click" - not very professional, nor friendly, and now there is 0 chance of any of my family going back to your disrespectful place of business. read more

If you want a unique, artistic, and one-of-a-kind tattoo, go with Vinh. I sat for a few hours yesterday and it was my favorite tattoo experience. He is accommodating, considerate, so fun to talk to, and truly an incredible artist. I would recommend the Tattoo Room and Vinh any day. read more

I love love loooove this place. Everyone that works there is super friendly and are fantastic at their jobs. And upon walking in, you don't get that uncomfortable sketched out feeling whatsoever! Anyway. I have three tattoos, all done by Nick. Two of mine are little cutesy tattoos (minnie mouse ears and a fox. totally love them!) but my third is a portrait of my rabbit on my foot and Nick freakin' blew it out of the water. It's ten million times better than I imagined it to be. It definitely captures my rabbit's cute little quirks and characteristics. I couldn't be happier! I am the proud owner of a sweeeeet as hell tattoo, that's for sure! I have to say that the artists here really, really care about the work that they put into a tattoo/their clients and that is SO important these days! Nick suggested that I get a numbing cream for my foot so that I wouldn't twitch all of the place and ruin my tattoo. And thank goodness for that because it really helped relive some of the pain, especially since I have such bony feet. Anywho, the point of this review is that this place is just great and I will alllways come back! read more

got my first tattoo here 7 years ago, the artist tonya was really nice about helping me with a design. fun staff, nice spot!

I had a piece done yesterday here, Danielle did an amazing job. This is my second time here and will not be my last. It's clean, friendly staff, they set up my appointment and did the drawing with ease. If your a first timer or on your 20th piece I would recommend you going here first. I had a blast chatting with the people there as she worked on my wrist, I have been to places that no one talks or the stuff going on is shady NOT HERE. Please try it out you will not be disappointed. read more

The Tattoo Room is a little gem in the valley, I'd recommend it to anyone looking to invest in themselves and benefit from artists who do amazing work. Thanks ya'll! read more

Got touch ups done here with Kelsey, who had previously done work on me at another shop. Even though she was just darkening the ink already on me, scheduling was easy and convenient, and she's improved greatly! Very satisfied with the results too. As for the location it was clean, well organized, and there was some cool punk rock playing in the background which I personally appreciated. The client chair I sat in was missing arms and so a standalone arm rest was used, which worked alright but could've been more comfortable with one built in. Here's hoping they got that replaced. I briefly met the manager too, and she seemed chill and down to earth but was going out the door. Anyway I'd return for sure when ready for fresh ink! read more

YESSS. Okay, so have you ever walked into a shop and wanted to turn right back around after everyone behind the counter seemingly knitted their brows and puffed out their chests in unison? Well, this is not that kind of place. I walked into The Tattoo Room and was greeted by Vinh, who was super welcoming and seemed genuinely stoked to bring the little idea I had to life. He searched through their entire schedule in an attempt to accommodate my poor time-management skills (I am moving out of state in a few weeks and waited until the last dang minute, as per usual), and actually ended up offering to tattoo me same day, as he'd had a cancellation- So cool of him. The dude is kindness and fun personified! He had us laughing the entire time, and he did SUCH a good job on my tattoo. He took the illustration I brought in and really turned it into something beautiful, and I am beyond pumped on it. The shop was super clean and very professional. I would absolutely recommend Vinh and The Tattoo Room to anyone, any day! :) read more
