I would not want to go to anyone else for my piercings! The space was very clean and the vibe was nice. I also went to Rick for my first two tattoos. I stopped in and was greeted immediately by Sean P. Mitchell, one of the talented tattoo artists here. He was very attentive, and helped to plan and design a tattoo idea I had. The studio was very clean, welcoming, organized, friendly and comfortable . Andrea and Rick were other artists here this day, all were busy with a steady stream of clients. Sean did a fantastic job tattooing me, as a senior citizen he knew how to care for my skin, and the design I am really proud of. Looking forward to future designs from Sean.

I just recently went in for a nose piercing the other day, with Andrea. Andrea did a wonderful job with my shooting star tattoo and even went back over my 4 year old palm tree tattoo that needed some refreshing. She was very sweet and very hands on with designing the shooting star exactly how I wanted. Everyone in the shop was very caring and made sure it was a cozy experience the whole time. I stopped in to have an ear piecing done. I was so impressed with the beautiful selection of earrings. The gal that did the piercing measured meticulously. Updating my review as the manager replied with a false statement to try to discredit my honest review. It's been a couple years, but still associate Clear Vision Tattoo with a lack of cleanliness and professionalism. Got ears pierced with a mislabeled needle and was in extreme pain. Brady, the piercer at the time acknowledged it was a mistake and told me it was the incorrect needle size. I was younger and naive, and should not have paid and definitely not tipped for a horrible, painful experience. Whatever you do, DO NOT GET PIERCINGS AT CLEAR VISION. read more

As the first tattoo shop ever in Moorpark, I was interested immediately. Once I entered the shop, I was greeted by Andrea who was professional, welcoming, friendly and warm. Rick, the shop owner, ended up doing my tattoo (pasta shapes on my left bicep). He did a PHENOMENAL job. Not only was the tattoo a breeze, he was hilarious and personable. Andrea at Clear Vision tattoo is an extremely talented and highly skilled aesthetic artist. I am loving the natural looking Powdered brows she gave me! Andrea was very patient when going over color and shape options for my brows. She took a great deal of measurements to ensure proper size, shape and placement for my face. She prepped me with numbing cream so I had zero pain or discomfort the entire time. My brows are all healed now and I couldn't be happier with the results. Andrea is warm and kind. If you are debating on whether or not you should get your eyebrows microbladed.... DO IT! If you are debating on which person to choose to do them CHOOSE Andrea! She is literally the best. I have been going to her for years, and she has done such an amazing job. I get so many compliments daily, and they last so much longer than anyone else! I had them previously done by two different people, and I didn't like them, and they didn't last... then Andrea did them, and they have just been perfect ever since. I absolutely love Clear Vision. Andrea did a powder brow on me and I am in love. My brows look so natural. I don't ever have to do my brows anymore. She has such an amazing eye on what works for faces. My brows healed so nice, there was no pain. I can't wait to be able to do more permanent makeup with her. Next up is lips and eyeliner. History

Established in 2011.

Owner artist Rick Sutherland Rest in Paradise had been a local tattoo artist since 1988 and had been looking to open his first studio in Moorpark since 2007 making this Moorpark's first and only tattoo studio opening in 2011. His wife Andrea Sutherland has been doing permanent make up since 2019 and has a great eye for detail and also does fine line tattoos and professional body piercings. The studio has an award winning sponsored resident artist Jojo Miller who specializes in hyper realism and color realism and we have a rotation of talented guest artists from different states.

I otherwise had a great experience, I like the fullness and the individual strokes in my eyebrows. My issue is how asymmetrical they are in the center. I love the right one (on the left in the photo) but the other does not match at all. Lea was kind and offered a free touch up as needed at no charge, but I am now researching how to fade my left eyebrow at this point.

When I booked the appointment I asked about their stylists and asked to please match me with someone who was good with long hair cuts as I had very long hair. My hair texture is simple. Straight hair but it was long. The front desk paired me with a stylist for a hair cut and blow dry . I was 20 minutes late to said appointment and I take full responsibility for that. I was fully prepared for my appointment to be cancelled without a refund on the deposit. When I arrived I could tell the stylist was annoyed which I totally understood considering my late arrival. (I did call to let them know I was running late ) Because I had booked a hair cut and blow dry, theoretically, she should have had sufficient time for the cut but perhaps not the blow dry. I was very clear that I didn't need the blow dry and that the hair cut alone would do just fine. I would have been okay with being charged for the blow dry even if it wasn't done as that was what was scheduled. Instead, the stylist accepted me and proceeded with the appointment. She was visibly annoyed which made me uncomfortable but I stayed in good faith . She was personable during the appointment. We chatted throughout but I was concerned with the way she was cutting my hair . I am not a hair stylist so I thought maybe I was over thinking it and just needed to trust the process. I was incredibly wrong. The hair was left ridiculously uneven, not the shape we discussed and left me with a "rat tail". She went up so high on the sides so that I would have to essentially cut 6 or more inches off to even everything out. I cannot prove it but I am convinced this was done on purpose as a way to get back at me for coming late. When she finished the hair cut I knew something was off but couldn't really look at it properly until I had arrived at home. Even though I knew it was off , I decided to still tip the stylist 15 dollars as a courtesy and my way of apologizing for being late. The tip was not because I felt the hair cut was done well. When I got home I saw just how bad it was. I was so upset and dumbfounded that I wanted to cry . The next day I contacted the salon to inform them of what happened. I called looking to speak to the salon owner because this was not a small mistake. The salon owner never called me personally to discuss the situation . The receptionist, who said he was the lead, handled all communication between the owner and I. I was offered to have the hair cut redone with a different stylist (I made it clear I would not feel comfortable with the initial stylist) at no extra cost to me. That didn't work out for me so I asked for a refund which they obliged. Although the owner herself wasn't responsible for my hair cut, I feel she should have called to discuss the matter with me personally . I am very disappointed not only with the stylist but with the owner for not providing better customer service. I do not recommend this hair salon and will never return again.

I've been going to Clear Vision Tattoo for a while now. It's always very clean and everyone is so nice! I've gotten tattoos from every artist in that shop and they are all so great! Andrea did my first one and it was a memorial tattoo of my dog. His nose, his paw and his name. She was so kind and made me feel like I was part of the family. She even put some of his ashes in the tattoo for me. She's also done several more tattoos since then. She's great! Andrea has also done a conch piercing on me. She is so sweet and makes sure you're happy. I love my piercing! Now we have Joel. He did two tattoos on me which I love. I wanted it exactly as it looked and he did just that. He's very good at tattooing. I'm sure I'll get more from him! He's so nice to talk to! Last but not least we have Jojo. He does hyper realism. He's already done 3 for me. He's done a portrait of my dog that is beyond anything I could imagine. It's exactly how he looked. He did a squirrel for me and it is one of my favorites! He did a gecko recently and it's so dope! Place is top notch. First of all, Rick is one of the most professional shop owners I've ever dealt with, and the artists at Clear Vision are fantastic. First thing for me is I am not a very patient guy,I have dealt with shops or artists in the past that literally took weeks to respond to me when i'm trying to make an appointment for a CONSULTATION, needless to say they didn't get my business. I emailed Rick and within 10 min I get an email back and we're working out what I want and a time the next day for me to come into the shop. That kind of professionalism and eagerness to help me out alone would bring me back, can't say enough about how professional Rick is. Rick set me up with his artist Carrie, she is such a chill person and a FAntastic artist. I just wanted some names written on my inner biceps, I show Carrie the style i'm goin for, tell her the what i'm workin with as far as a budget, and within 20 min she kills the sketch and i'm layin on the table. I love this place. I have been thinking about the tattoo I have wanted for the last 5 years but couldn't find the people to do it. I went into this shop and talked to Gavin about the exact tattoo on Thursday, he said he would work on it and I got an appointment for Friday. When I came back on Friday he had the design all set out and I was happy with it but wanted a couple of tweaks done, he had no problem getting it fixed quickly and I was soon sitting on the table. These guys are great, wonderful personalities, good atmosphere, very personable. The shop itself is very clean and the artist do some amazing work. If I were going to recommend a shop I would definitely say to get your art done here. Gavin is one of the best artist I have met. I had a scar on my lower back that I have been uncomfortable with for years. I have been following Clear Vision for a few years and have always been a fan of the work their artists do. I saw a post of a beautiful butterfly that Sean did and I knew his work would be the perfect way to cover my scar and make me feel confident again. I reached out and Sean was so helpful in helping me with a design that would cover my scar. My artist took my idea and made it 10x better than I imagined -- clean lines, perfect shading, and they actually listened to what I wanted. They specialize in custom color, black & gray, and cover-ups, and it shows. Walk-ins welcome, but appointments are easy to book. i today i went in for a new nose piercing because this morning mine had fallen out!! knowing it could close i rushed to clear vision brady was there and was very help full!! didn't hurt me once and was very kind helped me right away.. a lady was there before me but had to fill out a form( consumes a couple minutes) to finish.. she got upset about him taking me back first and didn't understand that it was an emergency because i did have a needle in my nose .. I had a really bad experience last week in this place. I had an appointment for my tattoo with one of the guys there, tall,white skin, 30 yrs I don't remember his name.He told me to show up at 6:00pm and when I got there the receptionist never ask me anything, I waited 1hr for nothing I was ignored no one knows that I was there.Helloooooo I got really upset and asked the guy, he told me that he didn't even know I was there with bad actitud and the fat ass receptionist was so quiet. I loved my experience at Clear Vision. The shop is clean and well lit. The artists are super friendly. Most shops give me a really weird vibe, but Clear Vision makes me feel very comfortable. My artist today was Jessica, and I am so happy with the tattoo she did for me. It was my third and is by far the best tattoo I have. She was very nice and I will definitely be getting more work done by her. Overall, I highly recommend Clear Vision for your tattoo wants. My husband gets his tattoos from Rick and they're always great. All the other artists have pretty solid portfolios. read more

I've been searching for years, for a tattoo artist that I felt confident in doing a tattoo with fine lines. I was referred to Rick Sutherland at Clear Vision Tattoo. I got my kids thumb prints in a shape of a heart. This is the most meaningful tattoo that I have and I love it! Rick did an amazing job on it. I had a very nice experience at this shop and would recommend anyone to go there. It is very clean and everyone is very friendly and welcoming. Got my conch, triple piercing and tooth gem on Friday the 13th! Amazing vibes and service :D Everyone made me and my friend feel comfortable during the process. Tatiana did my piercings and she was great at getting the placement where I wanted it and informing me of how to take care of/precautions to take! Anna did me and my friend's tooth gem and also made sure that we loved the placement before finalizing it! She also informed us of how to take care/precautions for after! What an amazing experience and I have the highest compliments for this salon and for Andrea, who pierced my granddaughter's ears. She was AMAZING, a total professional and as gentle as she was friendly, kind and thorough; she explained everything as she went along and I felt so at ease with my not-so-little (actually a teenager now) angel in her hands. I had a tattoo idea stuck in my head for the longest time and decided to finally get it done. Rick was accepting walk ins and it ended up working perfectly. I am not an artist and only had a rough sketch but Rick ended up cleaning it up for me and I couldn't be more happy with it! The atmosphere of the shop was incredibly welcoming as well. I've been to Clear Vision several times to see Amanda for piercings (daith, lobe cluster, and more) . I've never been to somebody more calm, respectful, kind, and professional. Amanda is quick to respond to messages and goes above and beyond to help. My last visit, I had a jewelry malfunction and could not for the life of me fix it... Amanda did without hesitation. I've gotten multiple tattoos and piercings here. The artists are so friendly and welcoming and there is zero judgment on what you want to get! the shop is so much cleaner than other shops I've been to since I've been in CA. Their new piercer Brandon is incredible and does EVERY type of body mod from infant ear piercings to subdermal implants! 100/10 recommend this shop read more
