And it wasn't super filling. I paid $17.43 for this and wasn't even full after eating it. The lack of care certainly reflects in the lack of care for how they make their food; there's just no passion behind it and it definitely shows.

Gorgeous views to try this food truck for the first time as the Superstition Mountains are the best ambiance in my opinion. Since this was an earlier event, they were serving a breakfast croissant that I was thrilled they would make without meat and take a couple dollars off the price. I never expect to pay less, and just happy when places accommodate to make vegetarian. Loved the portion size and that it was homemade off the grill. It was so delicious a friend tried a bite of mine and took his pupper up to order himself one. They surprised him with a cheesy omelette for his dog, and that was such a treat! Thanks for making a great breakfast and making that doggos day! Definitely stop again to order off the full menu if there's a vegetarian option.

Wife ordered this one. The grilled cheese was served on sourdough with a garlic parmesan cream sauce, a slice of tomato and a combo of Gouda and Swiss cheeses. She ordered with no Swiss. Also ordered The Olive Mill Salad, which was made of arugula, red onion, pears, goat cheese and a fantastic lemon thyme dressing. Said that both dishes were really good and the salad was amazing because of that tangy dressing. Typical food truck prices ($8 for salad and $11 for the grilled cheese). Friendly owner and helper on the truck and it didn't take too long for the order to be received.

What I love is the simplicity of the menu. Just a few entrees and sides. No BS. Loose Meat Hamburger: As the menu states, "think sloppy joe without the slop." I think it's an apt description. Very generous portion. Quality meat. Nothing too innovative but unique for the burger offerings in Phoenix. They also have a Smashburger that I would be tempted to order next time. Iowa Pork Tenderloin Sandwich: The menu says this is big enough for two people and they ain't kidding! It's huge. Perfectly crisp pork tenderloin that spills out on all sides from the bun. Yum! Chicken Tenders: DEE-lee-shush! Expertly fried chicken tenders. It said it would be served with a side of sauce but it wasn't. Honestly, I'm not sure that these tenders needed any. I liked that they put checkered paper in the take-out boxes. It was a small touch that conveyed the home-cooked appeal of the food. Again, this could be food served from a "real" restaurant. For the sides, we ordered mac and cheese and potato salad. Both were generous portions (unfortunately, we were shorted one order of mac n' cheese but they were busy). I think the mac n' cheese had potential. The texture was great but the flavor was slightly underwhelming. I think a sharper splash of cheese or seasoning could help. But overall, good. For the midwest nature of the truck, I was surprised that they didn't have any dessert offerings. They ordinarily sell beef jerky but their website said that they were sold out. Employees were great and relatively calm given the long queue of customers that formed almost as soon as they started serving. The food truck scene in Phoenix continues to evolve and be one of the more exciting aspects of the food and beverage industry. The Traveling Butcher pops up around the Valley (find their schedule on Street Food Finder). Would I dine from here again? Without question, and, I look forward to seeing how their menu evolves.

My husband, 2yo son and I battled for the steak and fries, plus the dipping sauce. It came out hot, fries were fresh and held up well with all the toppings, the steak was cooked perfectly and was very tender, and the aioli on the side was a very nice compliment. The steak empanada was enchanting; the filling was a little bit sweet, and paired with the chimichurri dipping sauce it was the perfect combo. We will be on the lookout for how to eat here again!

Late on Sunday evening and my wife and I were craving hotdogs. Tavo's Hot Dogs and Tacos surprised…read moreus with not only great tasting hot dogs but low prices and kind staff. This was a last-minute decision as we sid a search for hot dogs in our area, and Tavo's came up. Tavo's is a food truck that is open on East Apache Blvd just east of Hawes Rd. As the name says, hot dogs and tacos are the fare. I ordered 2 sonoran style hot dogs, and my wife had a plain hot dog with mustard. They were perfect! The buns were lightly toasted but fresh bread buns. Nothing can ruin a hot dog quicker than a stale or old bun. Tavo's doesn't make that mistake. Fresh toasted hot dog buns are perfect. The ingredients inside are even better. The hot dog is made perfect and piping hot. The ingredients on my Sonoran dog included grilled onions, diced tomatoes, whipped guacamole sauce, mustard, and more. Wow. Excellent flavors. It's tasty but not too spicy. Finished off with a fresh grilled jalapeño on the side! A bite of the pepper goes well with a bite of the hot dog, or if you don't want the spice, ignore the grilled jalapeño. The prices were excellent as well. Each hot dog is only $4. Very reasonable! You can get a hot dog with fries for just $7. This little hot dog and taco stand was a blissful little stop . If you get a chance to stop by (Weds through Sunday evening 4pm-9:30pm), do it. You won't regret it!

Chili Cheddar Coney: 2/5 The link itself was great, perfect snap of the skin with a meaty texture. I added onions which helped to cover the poor quality chili. It would've been better with cheese but somehow my chili cheese coney was delivered sans lactose. The bun was stale, although the chili did make it soggy on half of it to overpower the hard part. Double Cheeseburger, MKPOL (American style): 3/5 I like to see how good a straight burger is at a burger joint. Theirs is a decent offering. The patties are both seasoned and smashed well, but without a scale I highly doubt they are 2 oz patties. The bun was good but could take a toasting. As a burger I'd say it's sitting just above average. And it costs just about average for a standard burger. I ordered through DoorDash and ordered a drink, but nowhere could I choose what drink I wanted, and when I tried to add a comment it said the restaurant has disabled comments and requests in the system. So I figured I'd see what I got. It came with a small Sprite. Of than interesting, I'm not what to think about that.
