Firstly, the counter girl in here was extremely attractive, and was also incredibly friendly and very interested and excited to ask what I was doing here and where I had come from. I don't think I encountered too many girls this friendly at tanning salons, there have been a few, but this one is right up there at the top of the list. The tan itself was great and worked perfectly - and they even gave me extra time. The beds were lovely, and the whole place was palatial. They were explaining why it was like a palace - because Palm Beach Tan took over a very nice salon, rather than one of the iffy ones that need renovation. It was not only the best one I used in the Deep South, but it might be the best one I've ever used in the whole country alongside the one in the north burbs of Dallas near the corporate HQ. And if I get banned for taking selfies in the beds, it's a Palm Beach Ban.

I was going to an actual spa for this until they closed down. When I saw Palm beach offered it, I was SO excited. Don't. be. excited. I will tell you why. The bed is located right under a speaker they play on the main floor as the room they placed the bed is open to the outside hallway. MEANWHILE their sauna room (which I never see anyone in) has the enclosed room, along with the spray tan and stand up tanning room. SO DUMB. IF you thought you'd relax here, think again. You will be listening to 32-count body pump meets 2000's club music style music. It is beyond annoying. They USED to turn music off or even down per request, and lately said corporate won't let them. If you think you're gonna block out music with headphones, you best have expensive ones, bc regular ones won't cut it. You, like I, will leave your 40 minute session more stressed than when you walked in. I no longer refer friends or family here. It is not spa like and just not relaxing AT ALL.. Honestly..at this point I question whether the benefits of red light is greater than the damage of the stress it produces by being there. Pass on this location. ps. The workers are all awesome. Today is Monday. I followed their instructions to the T. And I'm already having splotchy places on my legs. As soon as I did my rents, I started with a product I bought from them, which was expensive moisturizer and to help the Tan blend and look nicely And I asked for the dark side of medium. My stomach, my sides in my back, hardly looked hand at all, my arms and my legs, dead, and my face. Also, one month membership is $80. You can lay in the red lights for free but then it's like 30 bucks on top of that to Tan. I don't like the fact that you have to make an appointment to Tan. They do have many mini beds, but even with $80 a month I can only use two other beds. The other I guess better nicer beds are not included in that price. And I'm sure there's people that don't mind paying. Their location has a lot to do with the pricing I think. But I chose The Place because it's only 3 miles from where I live. I've gotten a spray tan where a person actually did it and it was much better.
