The Millers Table was the first place we came across online and so off we went...and I'm so glad we did! This petite bistro style place has such an extensive menu and wine list and the prices were surprisingly good too! The owner spent time with us telling us about the concept and how she started the restaurant and was so warm and welcoming. This place is awesome!!! I'm so glad we decided to stop by during our visit. It is such a cute little place. The atmosphere is very fun and welcoming. The owner is very friendly and goes around checking on and talking to customers. Felt like we were at a little dinner party versus a restaurant. My fiance and I had the cheese board as well as wine flights. Let me tell you, I love cheese boards, and this one is the best I've had! The thing that really set it apart was that they have so many little things to pair with the cheeses and charcuterie. You can tell they carefully curated it to bring out so many fun combos and flavors - jams, nuts, fruits, ground mustard seeds, pickled veggies etc all made for pairing. The small/shared plates are good too. We got a sandwich and it was perfect size to pari with out large cheese board. Wish we were hungrier and could've tried more bites! I was visiting a friend in Oceanside during my latest trip to California. She took me to one of her favorite wine spots. A small quaint wine bar called Miller's Table. You're seated at a large table with other guests (approximately 12 seats). They also include a few small private tables, as well as stools against the walls. As you view the menu they offer foods that pair well with wines they offer. I chose a very yummy Moscato. My friends chose Pinot Noir and a Red. They give you options of a glass or bottle. I was even offered samples to decide on which white I wanted. This helps since sometimes what you choose isn't always the same taste from place to place. The menu is small but everything you receive is made fresh. It was most enjoyable! We shared a cucumber salad (a must have... pickled red onion, cucumbers and feta). I enjoyed the kale frittata with mixed greens salad. My friends had Turkey sandwich with red cabbage slaw and Grilled Cheese panini with homemade chips. The food was delicious! My son and I went by here while waiting for our car to be worked on and it was amazing!! I had the Moroccan Turkey (the lentil spread is so so good) & my son had the Italian panini & home made chips. He kept saying how amazing it was and the chips were cooked to perfection and so crunchy! The potato salad might be the best I've ever had. Let's start with the wine: you probably haven't heard of most of them. Pick a flight: red, white, Rhone Valley, Northern Italy, Argentina, etc -- the flights always change and are always featuring wines that I nearly always fall in love with. The woman who serves the wine (I can't remember her name, perhaps Mrs. Miller?) may have her hands full serving a room full of guests, but will always take the time to explain the wines and answer any questions. I've only gone with cheese and charcuterie plates here. I recommend going "omikase" with these (sans anything at all related to blue cheese, of course) and Mrs. M will pick selections to complement your wines. The restaurant is small and there is a very large table in the middle with a few other more private seats sprinkled throughout. They have flights that are quite generous and Staci will come tell you about each wine based on her personal experience. For those not into the vino, they have beer as well. The salad was big enough to share and was a nice and refreshing before I dove into a decadent grilled cheese. We've enjoyed Stacey and her cute joint for years. We started coming to Miller's Table literally the week after it opened. Stacey is personable, very knowledgeable, and made each experience a pleasure. She has enjoyed increasing popularity as I know she is very busy catering. Her food is fabulous. Yesterday was our last visit to Miller's Table. We came in about 2 pm and there were 4 patrons in the place. I saw Stacey's head flash by the order window and was happy to be able to see her, as she had not been in the cafe our last few visits. I mentioned we'd love to say hi, and was told, "she's very busy with a catering job tonight." I get it. I said, "hey, have her stick her head by the window and we'll wave." I was told, "she's too busy to have you wave." We always visited the Miller's Table midday - 11 to 3 or so. We always had a couple of wine flights and some food. Yesterday was no exception, except we were told we don't have flights at lunchtime. I asked since when. he said, "forever." Right. He begrudgingly asked what we wanted. (Literally, what he said.) I said we'd love some bubbles and some reds. He said he had french reds. I said that's great. He brought over glasses, poured bubbles in 3 glasses, and walked away. He then told me he only had french whites but california reds. I agreed on the california reds. He kept mentioning he was busy helping with the catering order. In the meantime, we did order some salads, which were soon delivered. He returned with the reds, out of order, pouring the 3 glasses and walked away. On one of his trips by our table, while he was clearing the dishes from an adjacent table (thought he was working on the catering?), I asked him what bubbles we were drinking. He said he had no time to talk about the wines, he told us he was busy on the catering. Stacey, I will share my experience with everyone I know, just as I did when I first found your lovely place. A great little gem in Oceanside! Strolled in here on a Sunday afternoon looking for a quiet place to catch up with a girlfriend of mine. We were greeted by the lovely and friendly Stacey.
