I'm 27 years old and I have ALWAYS struggled with my weight. I regularly work out and didn't think my diet was THAT bad but no matter what I did I always carried extra weight. I've been on pretty much every diet you can think of where I'll lose the weight but the second after I stop "dieting" mode the weight comes back on. I then tracked my daily meals but on a different sheet where you count the number of servings you have of a particular item type and your sum for the day has to equal the ideal number of servings Donna lays out for you. For example, my servings are: 3 - grain, 2 - dairy, 3 - fruit, 8 - veggies, 7 - meat. Everything I eat in a day should sum up to these servings. I met with Donna once a month for an hour. How to deal with the mental thoughts associated with food, etc. I went into this process not intending to view it as a new "diet" I was on but a lifestyle change. I went to see Donna because I was struggling with chronic pain from interstitial cystitis (painful bladder syndrome). I started seeing Donna Wolf August 31, 1016. At my first appointment I filled out a Symptom Survey - a detailed assessment of body, skeletal and emotional well being. My score was "103". Today, February 16, 2017, I filled out the same Symptom Survey and my score was "8". My body, skeletal and emotional well being had improved 99%!! I'm 40 years old and I have had headaches, fatigue and constipation since I was about 10. As far back as I can recall I have had a bottle of Motrin with me at all times and I'Ve tried every vitamin I could to help increase my energy. At 15 I was diagnosed w/ PCOS (poly cystic ovary syndrome)- which is a huge energy vampire. In my early twenties my headaches transitioned to migraines. I went to my doctor and was prescribed my first triptan and it was all downhill from there. I was never told to limit my use, so I was constantly in a rebound cycle of headaches . When that triptan wasn't helping I was prescribed another and another. I was in a constant state of migraine. I saw a neurology headache specialist and was put on so many medications from anti-depressants to Alzheimer's medications to seizure medication - all used as "off label" for migraines. I have tried Botox, chiropractic care, herbs, acupuncture. I'Ve tried it all. IN fact, I'm sure I'm forgetting some things I've tried....When it was time to have children I was so afraid I wouldn't be healthy enough to care for someone else. I briefly went on an organic diet in 2006 , as I was also having fertility issues, and I felt great! I got pregnant a few months later and went back to eating the same way I had always eaten. Donna Wolf and the LEAP protocol have helped me tremendously! Prior to the protocol I had constant nasal congestion, hay fever and constipation. I tried on my own to eat better, drink plenty of water and exercise, but my symptoms never improved. I was desperate to find something other than going to my MD to be told to eat more fiber, drink water, exercise and take a decongestant...I knew there had to be another way. I started working with Donna 3 1/2 months ago. I had suffered from food intolerances for the last 2 years and the doctors gave me a sheet of paper with a list of foods that "might" be what I am intolerant the of but they didn't really know.
