Unfortunately, my experience with the doctor was different. I came in years ago while dealing with a health issue I had never experienced before. I was understandably very anxious and overwhelmed at the time. I recognize that I was under a great deal of stress, but much of that came from being scared and unfamiliar with what was happening to my health. I was looking for guidance, reassurance, and someone who would listen to what I was experiencing. I was given certain protocols to follow, and I did my best to follow them as instructed. Unfortunately, they did not work for me and actually caused additional issues. What was especially difficult was feeling that my concerns were dismissed because the same approach had worked for other patients. I understand that a treatment may be successful for many people, but every person and every body is different. When something wasn't working for me, I really needed to feel heard and taken seriously. I'm sure the doctor has helped many people and that others may have had very different experiences. I can only speak to my own. For me, the experience left me feeling unheard and invalidated during a time when I was already scared and vulnerable. The appointments were also quite expensive, which added to my disappointment. I hesitated for a long time before writing this because I don't like leaving negative reviews, especially after so many years. However, the experience had a lasting impact on me, and I still carry some of those feelings today. I hope that sharing my experience can serve as a reminder of how important it is for patients to feel heard, especially when they are struggling or when a treatment is not working as expected. I genuinely wish the doctor and the practice well, and I remain very grateful to the staff for the kindness they always showed me.

I'm absolutely glad to be back, as I've been suffering from mild to extreme vertigo due to this overwhelming summer heat and exhaustion. Had to be treated to conventional pharmaceutical drugs several times, with no satisfactory results from prescribing Valium, mclezine, cetrizine, etc... all of which only mask the symptoms of the vertigo, which comes back and still makes me feel like I'm unsteadily moving around this fast paced world with my head immersed in a fish bowl. I specifically wanted to get an idea of "average" cost for HRT medication, and potential lab work needed, since that is not included in their monthly membership. I was asked to pay the initial visit and then I would get more information. Mmm this is not for me. I've called other HRT providers and they've been able to tell me over the phone how much the visits, hormones and lab work would cost. As side note, I've worked with functional doctors before and understand that the supplement and lab work costs vary depending on the patient's needs. I was still informed more or less how much I could need for supplements, and functional tests, BEFORE making the commitment. I'm sure Golden Leaf knows how much hormones cost, but no, they won't disclose that.
