I have been coming to this location for over 5 years and I have noticed that their quality has diminished.. They have a 35 dollar half oz that has been just as lukewarm as the 75 dollar half oz. I have also noticed that they put stuff "on a special" when they know they have dud weed. I tried their top shelf 50 bucks for 5 grams, I noticed very little difference between that and their 25 dollar outdoor 8ths. I have decided to go elsewhere I just tried club 78 on Vanowen they just carry brand name products which are a much higher quality than the stuff that Syndicate grow themselves. I use to love coming here. The customer service has gone down a lot. My cousin, her friend and I went to buy MJ and got treated so badly. They were all discriminating and looking at us like we don't have money. Talking to us very condescending and making faces. I had to go to the bathroom badly because they also wanna sell you everything and I ask for a bathroom or to point to the nearest bathroom and they were just so rude. I had to go badly I couldn't hold it so I went behind the trash, they came out and started embarrassing me. Like if they don't have homeless pooping and peeing there. They had a bathroom and denied us paying customers to use it. I won't ever recommend this place to anyone and will make sure no one will come here that I know. This is the dispensary I went to almost exclusively. I used to LOVE it here! Not so much anymore. It's still an awesome LOOKING dispensary - like a speakeasy. Great atmosphere. Pushing on a bookcase to get in, like a secret room, is cool. But lately, that's about where the coolness ends. The cool factor gets them a two instead of a one star rating. They don't carry some brands I like (like Wyld edibles) and seemed to be out of a lot of items when I was there this week. The staff here also used to be super personable and knowledgeable. Now, more times than not, our budtenders have seemed like they simply couldn't care less - like they're doing me a favor by answering a question. They seem to "run out" of their advertised daily specials even really early on in the day and sometimes forget about their offered daily discounts until reminded at checkout. Went to another dispensary nearby that does have Wyld. They were awesome! Bright and cheery. Really pleasant staff. They accept credit cards too now. Not sure if I'll be back to The Syndicate again. Suuuuuuper lazy employees. They are constantly jaywalking to get to and from their cars in the metro parking lot across the street even though there is a crosswalk maybe 25 ft from their establishment. I don't actually care that they are jaywalking, I'm annoyed they are disturbing the flow of traffic by crossing when the light is red for them. I've been to a few other syndicates and this one has the worst customer service by far. I walked in with my friends and we were excited to pick up. When we walked in, there were a group of bud tenders talking and they just turned and looked at us awkwardly since we interrupted their conversation by walking in. My friends and I were buying separately so we got different bud tenders. The one young lady looked at me said "how can I help you" with the most monotone tone. It was very off putting. You could tell she did not want to be there. The whole vibe was off and did not make me want to go back. I asked to LOOK at wax and she kept repeating that I couldn't get wax because I already have an ounce, which I understand, I do know my laws. All I wanted to do was LOOK at the selection, but I guess I couldn't do that under her watch. She also told me that she would walk me to the smoke shop next door that they have and she walked me to their exit door of the dispensary and pointed me in the direction of the smoke shop instead, and it was already dark as hell outside. Then she left. I stood next to the exit door since I didn't feel comfortable walking by myself in the dark. Please make sure you're employees actually want to work. I've been coming here and also ordering for a little over a year now. Today I placed an order for delivery . When I placed my order I updated my new number with the person I spoke with and I was told my delivery would arrive within an hour and a half. An hour and a half almost 2 hours go by and nothing. So I called to check on the eta of my delivery. I was told that the delivery person tried coming to my house and tried calling me but was told that they had the wrong number. Told them that I had updated my new number upon ordering. He then tells me nope! No new number update and that they could no longer deliver tonight. I'm very disappointed that they can't even handle a simple order nor update my info. I will no longer shop here again. I have no idea where the good reviews come from. My dad grabbed me some of their "premium flower" pre-rolls and they are literally trash. They use some kind of pseudo blunt paper.. and I literally felt nothing after smoking a whole pre-roll, which has never happened in my entire life lol Talked to a scumbag who works there on the phone, he said I have a high tolerance and to buy jeeters, which is funny because even shitty weed usually gives me some kind of buzz. This place has a bait and switch scam where they bait you into coming with daily promotions. The promotion is only for the first 10 customers who walk in the door and then they cut it off. That's why it says until any supplies last. So they can cut it off whenever they feel like it. Even though the shelf is full of products. I call BS. It's not a daily promotions. It just a way to for them to offload all the junk nobody buys. I bought a 1/4 oz of syndicate brand around the $70 mark i went home and noticed the package date was MARCH of 2021 the flower was SUPER dry I tried taking it back for an exchange but they wouldn't budge they stood by the product. It was so bad joints wouldn't stay lit very disappointing as I Come here regularly. The flower literally turned into a kief consistency SMH I got got for sure. Sometimes customer service transcends professionalism, and the person who you get on the phone really excels at being a human being. I am currently Covid positive, stressed, sad, and alone. The Kanha indica gummies really help me to stop smoking and still be able to sleep well, and have been a saving grace for me while I'm sick. I'm running out, quarantining, and don't have access to my front door because I'm living with my mom while sick... and Dell helped me figure out how to navigate all of this, and personally brought it to me really quickly. Above that, though, he had the time for a conversation and he made me laugh. He treated me like a friend and neighbor. He truly made me feel cared for, and for a little while, I forgot I was Covid positive and sick, and just felt like I was having a phone chat with an old friend. He brought his soul to the table interacting with me in the realest way. If you're looking for hot deals and whatever you can find them anywhere... but you CAN'T find old school LA humanity, neighborly kindness and realness everywhere, and that makes The Syndicate special. Everyone there is like your best friend or neighbor. This spot ain't for yuppies, it's for OG's and real human beings to feel cared for. The worst customer service I've ever got! I came in to buy some flowers, they sold me a shake without I knew it's a shake. I was out of the store opened it to roll me a joint. The moment I opened the box and see this is a shake they are selling for 23$ I went back to the store to exchange it for what I want FLOWERS, the guy at the store didn't even try to help or understand the situation! He was like a robot that just saying no for exchange. I have to mention that I am buying my weed only from this place for the last year at least 2-3 times a week and spending there about 500$ a month on weed. But he didn't care! Congratulations you just lost a client! I was very angry and left in the store what I bought and just walk out of there without even get my money back! (The guy didn't feel any regrets for a client who spent his money and left the product in the store without to even get a refund) I am a business owner myself and I know what is a customer service needs to be given, even there is a policy sometimes you need to do the extra step for your clients if you sold to your customer something that he didn't wanted to purchase from 1st place. Bought a pack of their "Nuggy Days" which is actually manufactured by them at Reseda Discount Caregivers and realized it has been sitting on the shelf for 8 months. It says top shelf and that it tests at 26% but taste stale, dry and not very strong but makes since cause it was packaged in June of last year. Packaging is nice but not worth the premium cost of $48 a pack. read more
