As you can see from my menu pic they offer the widest selection of ice cream flavors, including some rare and unusual flavors. On my first visit I enjoyed salted caramel in a waffle cone. On my second visit I enjoyed pralines and cream in a waffle cone. There are lots of staff working at Bonkey's, therefore the wait line moves very effectively. Both flavors were acceptable, but I subsequently found two other farm fresh ice creams in Ocean View and Bethany Beach. The advantage of Bonkey's is the widest variety of ice cream flavors. The waffle cones here are also very fresh. I hate stale or soggy cones. My total bill was $41 on my most recent visit excluding cash gratuity. It is challenging enough that adults will have fun, but not too difficult for children to play also. My only complaint was that the music playing over the speakers on the golf course was very loud, and I would have appreciated it being a bit softer.

The milkshake was blended too finely so I didn't get any chunks of brownie. But the finely blended brownie just made the milkshake a bit gritty. Next time I'll stick with the ice cream so I can get the full flavor and textural effect. I also stopped by for a mocha the next day and it was delicious. They did a great job balancing the chocolate and espresso (I like my mochas on the sweeter side). But really, the staff sells this place. They are all young teenagers who were enthusiastic and provided quick service. They never seemed frazzled and despite epically long summer lines. They fulfilled each order with great speed. A delightful and delicious new ice cream shop. This is the…read moresite of what used to be Blue Scoop - a beloved southern DE ice creamery serving treats made with cream from DE cows. Thankfully Hometown kept lots of Blue Scoop's favorites, but also added menu items like ice cream tacos, soft ice cream, and Dole Whip. They also added a few new flavors. The shop got a face lift, and added a small play area for the kids. Service was friendly and efficient- we'll definitely be back!
