What lovely memories we have of The Sun. We go to Clun every year for the Green Man festival and have stayed at the Sun twice. We had a double room in the stable block and to be honest it was a bit whiffy because of the damp but the main part of the pub was wonderfully old and stepped in history. The beer is excellent and so is the food and everything is served with a smile. The second time we stayed we were in the stable block again (see, it didn't put us off one bit!) and were entertained by a travelling folk group who were amazing. It was one of the best night's entertainment we have ever had and apart from buying drinks for the musicians it didn't cost a penny. The whole atmosphere of the Sun Inn is incredible, there is a wonderful buzz about the place and we can thoroughly recommend it to anyone who is passing that way. We were gutted when the Sun closed and delighted to see it is open again. Good luck to the new owners and please don't change a wonderful thing about the Sun at Clun - it has a magic about it that we have never found anywhere else. See you in May 2011!! read more
