The continental breakfast is fine-a cut above usual hotel fare-but the coffee is WEAK. There's good fresh fruit, hardboiled eggs, an assortment of pastries sweet and savory, cereal, yogurt, etc. Hot and very cold water are always available. We sat on the wrap-around farmer's porch a good deal, both from our room and at breakfast. Everything was clean and comfortable. The inn is beautiful. It's worth a climb down to the tap room/bar for its charm alone! Little Compton has a lot to offer, and we will probably come back, definitely staying at The Stone Inn.

It is a pretty place, nice inside, and very casual outside. Outside is only open a few months so it was a real treat. The food for dinner or events is far more sophisticated, but the outside deck menu is very basic. The food is good, not anything really special. Things like chowder and clam cakes, lobster roll, tuna wrap, hamburger, steak or chicken sandwich, etc. The lobster roll was ok, and French fires good. The tuna sandwich was good but I did not care for the potato salad. What you are getting here is location location location. On a very busy beach day, at the club we were able to sit outside and see the ocean, enjoy the breeze and not be slammed with people. Definitely fun to be a guest! Location a 5 star and food a 3.

All the staff we encountered were welcoming far beyond what mere professionalism required (everyone, but particularly thinking of Glenn, Sue, Brenda, Toby and Liz) - I always felt as welcome at the Francis Malbone House as I did at my grandmother's when I was a kid. Breakfasts and teas were terrific. The indoor and outdoor spaces are beautiful, tasteful and interesting. We absolutely look forward to returning.

Just a floor fan in each room. So it was HOT. But a local advised us that none of the inns on the island have ac. That made us feel better. So if you're staying here at the Narragansett inn during the summer, request a corner room. Those rooms have two windows so there's is better air flow. The rooms that are not on the corners only have one window and therefore no airflow. Also keep in mind there are minimal outlets, as it is a very old inn. So you can pick if you want your phone charging or the fan on. The bathrooms are shared. 1-2 bathrooms per floor. So you will be sharing a shower and a toilet with your floor mates. Bring flip flops for the shower if you're not keen on germs. There is however a small sink and mirror in each of the rooms for brushing your teeth or grabbing a glass of water during the night, as you will surely wake up drenched in sweat and dehydrated The beds in the rooms are a full size, not queen or king. Certain rooms do have twin beds. The staff is warm and welcoming. They serve complimentary coffee and delicious muffins in the morning (snag a pistachio muffin) Also on the weekends they do a champagne breakfast. We have not gotten the chance to experience the champagne breakfast because we hit it hard both nights this summer and ended up sleeping in The inn is close to 'dead eye dicks' a restaurant and bar right across the street. They serve amazing espresso martinis and you can sit out on the lawn right near the water with all the boats docked and watch the sun set! (See photo attached) It's also close to a bike rental shop about a quarter mile away and the inn offers bike racks so you can lock up your bike overnight. (around the back) and also a small breakfast place and a bar located on the dock. We love it here and will stay here going forward

No WiFi, electronic door keys, or A/C. You DO get an ocean breeze, windows that open, and if you fall asleep outside on a chair, somebody will bring you a blanket. it's a very chill place, and if you're a beach person, you'll love it. if you're pretentious, you better stay somewhere else. Everyone who worked the front desk was very accommodating and friendly. Mary went out of her way to make sure I had a nice stay. The cleaning crew does a great job. Remember, if you go, it's a place to sleep, close to the beach!

The venue itself was just gorgeous both in the day and at night. The couples pictures by the ocean right outside the towers came out breath taking. Before the reception we had a cocktail hour outside on the outside patio. There was lots of space to mingle and also to check out the scenery. Inside was amazing. The ambiance of that place was incredible. The bride and groom had 75 people and it was just big enough. I don't think you could have much bigger of a wedding there without it being too cramped. Large enough dance floor and windows everywhere to see outside to the ocean. Off of the dance floor was a balcony over looking the ocean. I am having a wedding in the near future and did go online after to check out their rates. They seemed very very reasonable. I consider this to be a dream wedding location. I would highly recommend it.

This goes for the NYYC Harbor Court station in Newport, RI. Our Commodore was having his "Commodore Cruise" in New England and the closing dinner was to be at Harbor Court. Now, with COVID there was a limit on guests amd total crowd for a dinner. We had over 100 cruising ew England and over 80 were due for the final dinner. Add Henri the hurricane to the mix and we had some challenges for the dinner. We had cocktails on the front lawn. Then, the NYYC set is up outside in the motor court area for dinner. This allowed us to get our entire group together. Weather was perfect. Calm Before the storm as they say. We even had the opportunity to watch the clubs "colors" ceremony when they retreat the flag each evening prior to sunset. Now getting to the food and service. With COVID it is especially hard to find amd keep good servers. We struggle with that at our club. It here at the NYYC. First they had plenty of staff. A welcome reprise from those businesses who can't seem to ramp staff back up. Even more impressive, their staff are trained very well. Women first, serve from left, remove from Right etc... I was thoroughly impressed that during COVID, and the night before a major hurricane, the NYYC was able to host the dinner for the StFYC and do so at such a best-of-class level. If you have a chance to visit Harbor Court, don't miss it!
