I am very disappointed! Tonight being October 5, 2024 it's the weekend on a Saturday at about 6:00pm or so my husband was going through Springfield I was like cool on your way home can you stop At the subway and grab me a subway because we live a half hour or so away. Great space. Warmly greeted by employees when I walked in. Wide selection of pizza, subs, and drinks. The pizza was tasty. Only downside is the closing time. 8pm is early but it matches up with the other eateries here in Springfield. I recommend this for visitors. read more

The first time I ordered here I ordered a BLT but when I got home and went to eat my sub it had Canadian Bacon not actual bacon on it. They need to label it as so this way people don't confused or upset.Canadian Bacon is the same thing as ham. I ordered a calzone today and ordered extra cheese and I could barely taste or see the cheese on it. I think the best think they have to offer is the breadsticks. read more

The Sub-Way is a local pizza place. It has nothing to do with the chain Subway (which has a franchise at the gas station down by the interstate). It is quite popular, but I do not know why. The sauce tastes canned, the cheese tastes cheap, and the crust is rubbery. It is cheap, but not cheap enough for me to keep eating there. read more

To begin with their costs verses what the Holiday Inn's in house menu, provided by Sub-way, was way off. $28 verses $42 for the same order, silly! So we ordered a Chicken Caesar Salad to split, 4 small pieces of chicken, tons of wilted greens and hold on...1 ring of red onion and 0 croutons. In addition, we ordered 2 orders of their chicken wings, spicy. I requested, not once but twice, that they OVER cook them explaining that we want the skin to be crispy. Guess what? Slimy, pale, white and basically tasteless bone in chicken wings were delivered. And to top it off, 0 flatware! I had to go to the front desk and ask for utensils and napkins. The next time I am in Springfield, I'll go to the Subway located at the truck stop for my meal. But never again will i go the the "Sub-Way" located at 85 Clinton St., Springfield, Vt. Stopped here yesterday while I was in town own bussiness. There aren't really many options in this place to eat so I figured I would just risk it being away far from anything else. I had the small pastrami sub with a can of soda for $6.43 including tax. FYI they dont take amex. Anyway not a bad price the sub had plenty of pastami which was actually not all fatty! Stopped here for a quick meal on the way home from a ski trip. The prices are very reasonable, only about 75 cents more for large subs over the small ones. I ordered the steak and cheese - looking forward to a juicy (and greasy) sub. I was asked if I wanted mayo on the sub, which is the first time I've ever been asked that at any sub shop when ordering a steak and cheese sub - especially since a steak and cheese is usually juicy (and a bit greasy). I passed on the mayo but when I got my sub I know why they asked. The sub was filled with dry "meat" that was the consistency of sawdust. There was absolutely nothing about the filling that suggested it had been meat or steak or cow at any point in the past. The filling was finer than ground beef (hamburger) and really did look like sawdust and was equally as dry as if it was sawdust. I could only eat a couple of bites and wished I had ordered a pizza instead. read more

Had a large group of teens at the house, and no desire to cook. Let's order pizza from subway. The pizza is not bad, and they offer the "family" size. Just what you need to feed a handful of hungry teens. I called for the order at 7:15 and was told they were "out" of family size pizzas. Hmmmmm, what does this mean? Are all the pans being used? Are you out of dough? I guess I don't understand. I was then told that they pre make pizza in the morning and do not have time at the dinner rush to make pizza? I would need 24 hours notice to order 3 family size pizzas. This is Springfield Vermont, you have a dinner rush at 7:15 on Monday night that you couldn't take 10 minutes to roll out some dough? Well lucky for us there are two other pizza places in Springfield that will be getting my business from now on. Thank you for the less than adequate service. read more
