Cameras only cover the exterior of the buildings, but there aren't any covering the interior, where they are needed. We had a unit for a year while our house was being built. Our unit was robbed and half of the contents either taken or damaged. The security cameras revealed nothing and were so grainy, they were nearly useless. And since there are no cameras covering the interior hallways, where they would be the most helpful, there was no way to find out anything about the robbery. The staff did the minimum required, and the management was more concerned with making sure they weren't held accountable than helping us find the thieves. Based on our experience, I wouldn't recommend Compass Self Storage. They need to improve their security.

And this place has GREAT customer service. I hopped on their website and picked a space to rent for a few months. My girlfriend was moving and needed to house some extra stuff for a while. I got a call mere minutes after reserving the space online and the young lady who set up my rental was so nice, so friendly and helpful, I was thrilled with how easy the process was. I'd go back to this place any time we need to rent a locker for a few months. If you live in this area and need to rent a storage space, this is the place to go. I asked the person in their office if I could get a better rate and that I would be willing to change units if needed. I was told NO. So I informed him that I would be moving out before next payment due date. I did move out, however my charge card was used for the upcoming month. I have disputed the charge and wait to see if I get my money back. I returned to the office to see what was going on and the same person I dealt with a few days earlier did not remember me canceling account, and I was told that he was unable to check their system to try and determine where the error was.
