For some reason I can't write a review on Google so hopefully this will still be seen. Horrible,…read morehorrible experience with these guys and I say avoid them like the plague. We just did a PCS from Ft Gordon, and we've been around this whole moving thing a few times so we're not strangers to the process. We're also not control freaks so we weren't breathing down anyone's neck or irritating them while they're trying to do their jobs, otherwise MAYBE I could understand how we were treated. Scott Heyman, VP of Sales did the walk-through with me, was perfectly friendly. Packers show up and mistreated/mishandled/packed incorrectly (we saved original boxes and styrofoam packaging) some pretty high-value items that we specifically warned them about ahead of time, and completely ignored many specific requests from my husband and I. I wish I was exaggerating-- I made eye contact with one guy and asked him a question and he literally turned around and walked away from me. Same guy (his name was Warren) was completely rude and grumpy from the moment he walked into our house. He packed up my kitchen, ignored my 2 requests about packing my knives and non-stick pans (even after reminding him a second time). While in the process of packing up the kitchen, he asked both my husband and I to reach down to the lower shelves and pick up dishes that he "couldn't get because he had back issues." Another guy needed my husband's help with something-- these are HUGE no-no's! The packers/movers are NEVER supposed to have the owners help because of liability issues. Never mind the fact that I was 7 months pregnant and Warren wants me bending down and grabbing dishes for him. What makes me so angry is that he bragged about being 68 years old and how he's been doing this work since before all of us were born...good for you buddy but it sounds like you need to be in another line of work if you're going to pull that crap. He knew every trick in the book and it was obvious that he was using them. Anyway this is just naming a FEW of the problems that happened on the first day-- I called Scott around lunch time to ask him a few questions for clarification (I.e. things that were not communicated to us) and he was incredibly snippy, rude, and condescending to me, not at all the same person who did the walk-through with me. Next day comes, no movers show up. I called Scott around 9:30am and I get the same rude and snippy tone that nobody would be coming today (also something that never was communicated to us). Overall everyone and everything was so shady with this company. I already made all the specifics known to the military but we will never be using them again if we can help it. Beware!!! Update in response to H&S's reply: Denali Group managed the move but obviously sub-contracted, as most moving companies do unless the move is local. If H&S/Mayflower was not associated with this move then why were the boxes labeled Mayflower, why did Scott do a walk-through for the move, why were all the movers/packers wearing H&S tshirts, and why did our belongings get loaded into a truck labeled 'Mayflower'? A couple pictures are attached for reference. I stand by my original review.

This company really was irritating if I could give zero stars I would. We are military family and…read morehave done many many moves. Make sure you watch the packers because me and my husband both had to tell them things that needed to be wrapped because they were literally throwing things in boxes not wrapped. They didn't mark boxes they were supposed too and our moving truck guy had to do it on his end. Some of the workers were lazy with what they could have fit in boxes but didn't want too. We needed up having to argue about several things and it was very unprofessional!! The guy that is charge of his packers when I tried to explain these things brushed off what I was saying and walked away saying he wasn't going to say or do anything VERY RUDE!! This is the worst company we have felt with in our 17 years of moving! I do not recommend you use them!!

I requested four movers for four hours. The thing that I loved is that they were professional and efficient. They were on time and took my mess of a storage unit and neatly packed it into my Uhaul truck. Then unpacked the truck and loaded everything into my house as directed. I have no complaints and would definitely recommend them to anyone in this area.

Within minutes of submitting a project for carpet stretching I heard from them and they were able to schedule me within a couple of days. They were very friendly, courteous and respectful calling me prior to showing up, helping me move furniture and boxes and completing the work in record time. I almost feel like it's been a dream because I've been having so much trouble getting other companies return my phone calls. Maybe they know about a money tree and don't need the business?! Anyways, I like that they are family-owned and local. I truly love that they stand behind their work and take pride in what they do, it shows! We'll Be rehiring them to clean our carpets in the future. Highly recommend! Services they provide: 24-hour emergency flood service, steam clean carpets/rugs/furniture, carpet installation/repair/stretching.

We have several animals in the house and one elderly cat in particular who had made a certain corner of the carpet her preferred bathroom spot. We had tried several methods for removing the smell, from vinegar to baking soda to enzyme cleaners. Nothing was able to truly remove the smell, as is was in the carpet pad below the carpet. We called S&S on the recommendation of a neighbor who had utilized their services for similar reasons. The service provided by Mr. Sherman was top-notch. Not only was he able to come out to service our carpet within 48 hours, but he actually removed the old, soiled carpet pad, cleaned the carpet from the underside-up, and did it all within a span of two hours. The carpet looks like new and the odor is gone! He did all of this for a price that we felt was well below what we were expecting to pay. We cannot recommend this company highly enough and will not be using anyone but S&S for our carpet cleaning needs from this point forward.

Text messages about the arrival/removal were helpful and timely. Net, net: will use again when the need arises; pricing was fair.

They should have left it in the driveway from the beginning, and now we have to pay to them? How cheeky. What a shameless way to get more money out of the pockets of people who require a service. I will never request another service with this company.

Without your team, I would have had to push back the remodeling process. There is not a big presence on YELP for carpet cleaners so I turned to the realtor for assistance with who they use. My one request was that the company use a "truck mounted" unit. It is the ONLY way that carpets will get clean...and, not take days to dry. Answer: Professional Carpet Systems. Our Niece made an appointment, Joshua, Master Technician, showed up within the window of time set aside and got to it. The edges of the carpet needed attention as there was that usual dark line where it never gets clean...not a problem for Joshua! Two bedrooms and a living area cleaned in 40 minutes...PERFECTLY! Now be assured that Joshua is not Merlin, the magician...there were a couple of stains that did not come out all the way (near 2 light sockets). Joshua explained that it usually occurs from the plug in room fresheners with the oil in them. Noted!! My Niece could not be happier with the results and she loves how soft the carpets are...steam cleaning, the only way to go...truck mounted unit. Give them a call, I have already run out of the business cards Joshua gave me as friends wanted their number.
