The vibe was cool. There are shows and shops and food and drinking. There is also an option to take a train ride. The Candy Barrel, Sock'Em and The Beef Jerkey Experience were some of the fun stores we ventured in to. Then the balloon bull horns was fun. We ate at The Star and then walked around until The bull walk, that was pretty cool.

Such a neat place to stop and really cool to see the cattle walk. Lots of food, entertainment, and much to explore! The fried green tomatoes that preventer hall are exceptional!

Fort Worth Stockyards = Texas gold! Epic longhorn cattle drive --pure chills. Killer shopping: Maverick Fine Western Wear, Cavender's, Ariat, Tecovas, Stockyards Trading Post, and Fincher's for the best boots, hats, gear & souvenirs. Live music, great BBQ, rodeo vibes--total cowboy heaven. Had such an amazing time .

The Stockyards never disappoint, and even though I've been here many times, this visit was extra special. I finally got to experience the longhorns walking the streets, and I was so happy to witness it in person. It was such a memorable moment and truly something that makes the Stockyards feel iconic and authentic. The area is full of charm, with cute little shops offering everything from boots and western gear to keepsakes and even alcohol. There's always something new to explore, no matter how many times you've visited. I can't wait for my next trip back!

This was my first time visiting The Fort Worth Stockyards, and honestly, what a way to experience it -- right after a Yelp Elite event. Walking in already buzzing from the event made the whole place feel even more alive. The moment you hit Exchange Avenue, the historic charm pulls you in. Brick streets, old-school storefronts, live music drifting out of the bars -- it all feels like stepping into a living piece of Texas history, not a staged tourist trap. Everywhere you turn there's something to see, whether it's western shops, leather goods, unique local finds, or people just soaking in the atmosphere. The energy here is hard to beat. Between the honky-tonks, patios, and crowds in cowboy boots, it's lively without feeling overwhelming. You can grab a drink, wander, listen to live music, and still feel like you're actually experiencing Fort Worth culture. The staff and locals were welcoming, friendly, and quick with recommendations -- true Texas hospitality. Food options were everywhere, from BBQ to Tex-Mex to classic steakhouse spots, and everything smelled incredible. It's the kind of place where you could easily spend an entire afternoon and roll straight into the evening without realizing how much time has passed. Parking can be a little busy depending on the day, but once you're there, it's completely walkable and worth it. Between the history, the vibe, and the overall experience, I'm glad my first visit was tied to a Yelp Elite event -- it set the bar high. If you're looking for a place that blends history, fun, food, and real personality all in one area, The Stockyards absolutely delivers. First visit down, definitely not the last.

The Fort Worth Stockyards hosts the Herd Cattle Drive twice daily, at 11:30 AM and 4:00 PM, featuring Texas Longhorns driven by cowboys down the East Exchange Avenue. It's free and worth viewing from the sidewalks. It gets crowded so be sure to get a spot early! The Fort Worth Stockyards transforms into a unique, Western-themed holiday experience. It looked exactly the same as last year with the horse drawn wagons, train rides for children, outdoor ice skating rink, photos with Santa, restaurants, shops and the same guy making longhorn shaped balloon hats for over 20 years for a true Texas Christmas vibe.

Another fun experience on a sunny & cool gorgeous Fort Worth day! Busy and energetic crowd enjoying classic cowboy culture. A shop and restaurant for every taste and budget. Can buy train ride on Sundays 3-3:45 in the heart of it. Cattle drive is short twice a day and fun for all ages. Lots of walking so wear comfy shoes

Neat little experience with the little one! We were looking for that Texas cowboy experience and read about DFW. We came super early and waited for like 1.5 hours before things started opening up. Around 12-1 is when they got really lively with the Cattle parade and the cowboys on horses going around and letting you pet their horses. Restaurants and stores start opening. Since the street is private, you can buy some drinks (beer or cocktail) and walk around the stockyard. They have cattle that you see, a horse area, some maze activity and other activities. There are some hotels here too, which a lot of the bars don't open until later. It's a cool activity to do with the family.

I honestly wasn't sure what to do while paying a visit to Fort Worth but stumbled upon The Stockyards on the search engine and decided to check it out! The Western feel and cattle drive was quite an experience that I think visitors from all over the country or the world would like to see at least once in a lifetime. With some cobblestone roads and saloon-like shops and restaurants, The Stockyards likely gets visitors year-round no problem, supporting their local businesses. There's wild west souvenir shops, western wear boutiques, boot barns, and even leather goods stores. For the foodies, there are beef jerky stands, candy shops, and good ole bbq. Parking can be difficult especially on days with special events. The lots fill up super fast even though you're paying, forget about free street parking along East Exchange Ave unless you get there early. I'd say definitely make a trip to The Stockyards and check it out yourself.

If you visit the Stockyards, you definitely have to ride their bulls -- it's part of the experience! The bull walks take place at 11 AM and 4 PM. There are bars and restaurants, and you can also do wine tasting. They have very nice souvenir shops, public restrooms, and sometimes live music, especially on weekends or holidays.

This place will take you back to a western film. There were cowboys and steers. We were evening able to see a steer parade, which are at 11:30a and 4pm. They had great shops to purchase leather items, candies, and spices. Down the strip you can visit restaurants and saloons.

Walking into the Fort Worth Stockyards feels like stepping into a time machine--with cowboy boots. The streets are lined with brick, the buildings ooze old Western charm, and there's a strong chance you'll see a longhorn stroll by like it's just another Tuesday (because it is). Shops sell everything from leather belts to Texas-shaped fudge, and the smell of smoked brisket floats through the air like it's legally required. There's live music, rodeos, and saloons that make you want to order a sarsaparilla just for the vibe. You can even get your picture taken on a giant steer, assuming you're brave--or very Texan. Sure, it's a little touristy, but in the best way. It's part history, part wild west show, and part cowboy cosplay. Whether you're two-stepping or just people-watching, the Stockyards deliver a good time, cowboy hat not required (but encouraged). Yeehaw.

Whether you're a non-Texan, a native who lives outside of the metroplex, or even one of the locals, a visit to the stockyards is a perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in a little bit of traditional Texas culture. One of the main attractions is the twice daily cattle drive to see (and smell!) a parade of real longhorns along with some cowboys atop their horses. For a unique experience and cool souvenir photo you can actually sit on a real (and unusually tame) longhorn. Other attractions include museums, a petting zoo, cattlepen maze, trail rides, and of course lots of restaurants and stores selling Texas themed goods. They also offer guided tours for those looking to gain more in depth knowledge of this historic place. Parking is not free in the immediate area, but spaces are plentiful. Alternatively, you can find free parking farther away AND get your steps in for the day!

Not much green space. I wouldn't say it is the best place ever but I did see a few while there.

Within the first 10 minutes you forget because you reach for the phone that's not in your pocket out of habit to take a photo of your food. Instead, you actually slow down, taking in the look and smell of the food while having a real, uninterrupted conversation with the person across from you. And the food? So good it made me forget I couldn't take a picture of it--which says everything. Every bite was a "wait, try this" moment. The staff was amazing (specifically Iberia and Milosh) who made the experience above and beyond. The vibe was intentional, and for once, no one at the table was half-present and half-scrolling. 10/10 would willingly give up my phone again... which is something I never thought I'd say.

That's on us. However, we still couldn't find any mention of it on the website or through Google reservations. I was eventually able to locate something via AI, though I'm not sure where it sourced the information. Even then, the guidance wasn't very clear beyond jackets being required downstairs for men; the rest felt open to interpretation. My girlfriend's high school sophomore daughter and her friend were clearly not within Caterina's standards. The manager was initially reluctant but ultimately agreed to seat us upstairs, which we appreciated. We respected his decision either way. My impression is that, with it being 88 degrees and humid, the weekend crowds in the Stockyards may have overwhelmed the staff, with many frustrated customers being turned away. It was evident by 6:00 p.m. that the staff and manager were already frustrated--we likely added to that, and then Megan and A.J.'s group came in right after us. Again, our fault. I do hope the manager's attitude isn't meant to reflect a New York/Paris-style "rude" persona implemented by Tim Love. If that's the case, that's his prerogative--perhaps he believes that kind of edge enhances the fine dining experience. Otherwise, I'd suggest a more Texas-style approach: we don't do rude here; we do "bless your heart" without offending anyone. There's no need to offend for the sake of it. As for the food and overall dining experience, it was good. In most places around DFW, if this were simply positioned as solid Italian food at around $40 per person, it would likely receive consistently strong reviews. However, Caterina carries higher expectations given Tim Love's reputation--this feels like an attempt to "level up," and that raises the bar. The meal started strong with the sausage and peppers, wild mushrooms, and caprese. The ravioli, however, tasted more like Chef Boyardee. The roasted bass was okay. The jumbo shrimp was very good, though that's a dish that's hard to get wrong. The veal parm was average. I'd suggest trying the branzino at Truluck's (even as a chain, it sets a higher standard). The potato frico was outstanding. Overall, the main courses seemed to be where expectations were highest--and where the most disappointment occurred. The atmosphere is quite cramped, with tables very close together and frequent brushing past from staff and guests. It feels more like a communal dining experience, even when neighboring tables are trying to enjoy a more intimate moment. Not a major issue, but worth noting. Even with a 6:00 p.m. seating--before the peak 7:00 p.m. crowd--the meal lasted about two hours at a slow pace. I imagine later seatings experienced even longer durations, which may appeal more to a European-style dining pace. We actually liked the no-phone policy, though it might be worth allowing brief access for photos after the main courses are served. I suspect they would accommodate that if asked. Lastly, Ebony (I hope I got her name right) was exceptional--truly one of the best servers I've experienced anywhere in the world. She operates at an A+ level: engaging, personable, humorous, and highly efficient.

They do have police directing traffic and blocking the other streets so only residents can enter through those. I went around 8pm on a weekday and there were about 30 cars waiting to go in. I was surprise it only took me about 5-9 minutes to get into the neighborhood. Once inside you just follow the crow and enjoy, a lot of the streets have a could de sac and you can just follow along. The neighborhood is a big circle so when you are done you will exit where you first came out of. It is part of DFW's Art Program and is the work of Dennis Oppenheim, who made the piece in 2005. It is constructed of aluminum and reminds me a lot of Superman's lair, the Fortress of Solitude. The sculpture is 30 feet high and has an arched tunnel through the center with blue LED lighting overhead. Oppenheim was inspired by the natural form of crystals while creating this piece which depicts crystals of different sizes sprouting up at different angles. Travelers have been known to leave trinkets or foodstuffs in the dark recesses of the tunnel. Don't be surprised if you see half eaten candies, water bottles, rubber bands, paper airplanes, even small stuffed animals. The sculptures fabricators, Studio Six, performs regular scheduled inspections of Crystal Mountain and regular dustings mostly done from an aerial lift using a HEPA vacuum. I really like this sculpture it is one that demands your attention. You cannot miss it. Even though the Sculpture is open to the public. Its viewers are limited to ticketed passengers since it is located beyond the security check point. If you are in terminal D you ae sure to see it. But if you are at one of the other terminals, and have time, I recommend checking this spot out. Fun fact: Oppenheim has a similar piece in Cincinnati called Crystal Garden. It is made of colorful acrylic though and located outdoors.
