Got two of them and headed to checkout, of course they rang up at the register for 24.99. Cashier called MGR to check price, said it would show the sale after she hit total but he would double check. After a few minutes the MGR called back the cashier and she tried to tell us that the scanners will show you sometimes what the last person scanned in the sale area and some other BS. (I used to and my husband still does work for the largest retail co in America, we are not blind to being lied to) Said to remove the items, we did not want them but got other colored pencils instead. As my husband walked by the scanner, he double checked how it scanned... oddly enough the 13.58 different set that were on sale for 50% off showed REG Price 13.58 and SALE Price as 6.79 (Funny, it showed just what the item was and not the person befores scan) ANYWAY we checked out, I was upset so went and double checked our suspicions. The MGR changed the price and took the sales price off the item while "price checking" it. Needless to say he did see us walk back in and take one to the back scanner since the whole time we were checking out, went to car and back in he was talking with a worker and going through all the prices. NOT COOL to change the price when the customer catches a misprint/mistake on your part and the blatantly lie to them and say it was their fault for reading the scanner wrong. I do a lot of crafts but I think I will keep my business at Hobby Lobby if think is how you treat your customers.

Stopped in this morning to pick up last minute party…read moresupplies, since it is the only Party Store in Conway, otherwise would have had to fight the traffic to head to Little Rock. The selection is limited at most, which in itself was a disappointment, but it's the events that occurred while I was waiting for my balloon bouquet to be finished that truly upset me. A sharp dressed Hispanic Gentleman came in to speak with the Manager or possibly Owner, regarding a job. According to the Manager he frequents the store often to buy balloons. This gentleman brought his resume, dressed more than appropriate if he had an interview, and was very patient and understanding as this woman repeatedly explained to him that she "couldn't interview him now because she is short staffed," then told him he "would have to come back," then it was "well just wait for me to call you because I have a new person starting in a sort of supervisor roll." The man was very understanding, thanked her for her time and left the premises. At this time the "Manager" starts a conversation with the employee blowing up my balloons. Now I am dead center in the middle of them, one on each side of me no more than three feet away. The "manager" proceeds to tell her employee that she "could never hire him because no one would ever understand him, that there is , ummm you know, a sort of language barrier." Excuse me?!? While I witnessed the entire conversation, he was very easy to understand, he asked if you wanted his resume, when it would be appropriate for an interview, and when he should return. The only language barrier is your thick, heavy, marble mouthed southern drawl. Take the rocks out of your mouth and speak clearly and concisely.. I understood him perfectly, and for the record, understood you quite correctly, reading between the lines. Don't blame a language barrier for not wanting to hire that man, he dressed more than appropriately for your run down out of date, half the aisles barely stocked store. He was eager and willing to interview on the spot, and while you may have not wanted to make the time to interview him, there was no stampede of customers at 9:10 in the morning. For the record, this was THE most inappropriate conversation for you as a manager to have with your employee in front of me..it was disgraceful and disgusting. It showed that you have no couth and your inappropriateness is beyond anything I could have imagined. You did that gentleman a favor, because you didn't deserve to have him work for you. Rest assured I will not patronize your store ever again after listening to your ignorant conversation. You need a lesson in diversity and maybe a visit from the EEOC. Bless your heart.
