Could have taken her anywhere without leaving Apple Valley but she was insistent. After this visit, as always, we don't mind the drive! The reason for a young girl's insistence? The luscious house made desserts! We chose a number of specials. Mine was a shaved sirloin sandwich which was tender juicy and with a deep beef flavor reminiscent of grass fed beef. The beef, like many dishes here is locally sourced. The beef, as with many of the meat dishes here, was from Welcome Meats, in a neighboring town. No picture of my dish exists, as it didn't stick around long enough... The first photo is of a brunch favorite, the eggs Benedict, with made to order hollandaise sauce, and ham steak. The second photo is of a featured salad with local strawberries, cucumber, beets, golden tomato, gruyere cheese, and toasted hazelnut pieces, covered with a deftly poured drizzle of balsamic vinegar.
