A local favorite in the town of Estherville, Iowa! This is a small restaurant with a bar located directly in the middle when you walk in. There's usually only a couple employees working because it is a smaller diner-like restaurant, but staff has always been friendly and welcoming! First off, their ranch is homemade, (i could drink it- fabulous!), and they have great char on their grilled chicken. Second, I'm not sure of another place anywhere close by that serves duck wontons as delicious as these are! Wow! This place was so good. The size of my salad was huge and it was very good. I ordered the bacon duck wontons for my girlfriend and I to share and then I got the chicken strip salad and both were very good. The restaurant had a sports bar feel and was very nice. I was in town a few weeks ago and caught up with a High School friend over soft drinks and nachos (mostly for my son) at Mother Nature's. Craig is also a Facebook friend and perhaps a "bit" more Conservative than me. Another like-minded FB buddy (and Estherville native) warned him of a possible gag reflex if he listened to me too much, but there's nothing like friendly conversation in person to alleviate the harder edges of online conversation. Plus Craig is passionate, caring, consistent, and easy to like and admire. After reading other reviews, I was a bit hesitant about giving this place a try, but I'm so glad I did! The food was better than expected, the prices were super reasonable for the large portions, and the staff was pleasant and friendly. I'll definitely be back! Also, side note, for those who think that based on the name this must be a vegan or other "health food" type of place, that's not the case! I ordered a sandwich with fries to go. I got home and no fries and the sandwich was cold, not cold from travel but COLD and soggy from sitting to long.. I was there prior to the time said. I called to explain what happened and they wouldn't do anything for me. I received an apology, but I paid for a sandwich with ff and got a sandwich only. Ordered a burger and it was terrible. Dry, the bacon was super salty, the bun was soggy, the cheese balls were over cooked / burnt. I ordered pasta with chicken in it. I was in Estherville during the winter for business and I was concerned about the ability to find a nice place to eat. I had nothing to worry about with Mother Nature's. From the outside it looks like what you would think of as a small town bar and the inside confirms this thought. But the food and service were outstanding. I had the pork tenderloin and even a week later I am still thinking about how good it was. The price was reasonable and the portion size was hearty! I will definitely be going back to Mother Nature's when I am in Estherville again. read more

We have ordered takeout a few times and have received undercooked burgers on more than one occasion. They have offered to replace but is inconvenient when doing take out. If cooked correctly it is good food. read more

Best food to get in town!! They have a variety of food option and a huge variety for liquor and beer! The employees are also wonderful!!

Terrible service. Menu falsely advertises entrees. Extremely long wait. Restaurant needs to consider hiring more people. Wait staff was extremely rude and mixed drinks were very weak. You don't get what you pay for that's for sure read more
