Because of this I tend to opt to order from my local Indian take-away who provide an excellent service. My wife really fancied a chinese for a change and not wanting to drive our favorite restaurant, we trawled through all the restaurants until we found one that delivered and Yin Court popped up. After checking the reviews, we place our order. We were given a time in which it would be delivered and that we could pay by card at the door. A few minutes before the allotted time, our order was delivered albeit by a would be but very polite Eminem standing at the door wearing a string vest and razored denims, holding our order in one hand and his card machine in the other. Our order included some side orders and found that these weren't really required, as the portions were quite substantial. The quality of the food was also way above that of what I was expecting. Now at last I can have a better choice of take-away for those 'I can't be asked to collect it' moments.

The first time I came to Sorrento was a few years ago now and I really enjoyed the evening and food. I thought the staff were amazing and was impressed with this little restaurant. However, I recently went a few weeks ago around Mothers Day. When I telephoned on the Wednesday to make a reservation for Saturday I found the man on the other end of the phone to be a bit abrupt. He advised me that the only slot they had was for 6pm, just after they open and added "if you want any later then you'll have to go somewhere else". To me, it sounded quite like I was inconveniencing him for making a booking at their restaurant. The food I ordered was fine, starter was better than the main course, but it wasn't as good as I'd expected and felt a bit disappointed as I remembered it being better the time begore. Even though I didn't feel particularly welcome to make a booking, I'd still recommend trying to make a reservation to avoid being turned away as this restaurant does get full pretty quickly. I think I'd return again just to see if next time I enjoy the experience a bit more, if next time I feel it's any better then I'll amend my review and leave it with 4 stars.

Booking is advisable as it does get very busy (Saturday night) . From the outside the restaurant retains the image of an old established business and in some-ways looks a bit tired, the internal décor is similar with a notable, but subtle Greek ambience, this aside for a busy restaurant, it is clean and airy. The staff are very attentive and very polite, although their waiting skills are not of silver service standards, but then I wasn't expecting it to be. The menu set to cater for virtually all tastes,with daily specials, I opted for the lamb klefticko for my main course, with creamy spinach and buttered asparagus as sides, only to find that the klefticko was more than enough on its own. everything was cooked to an exceptable standard. The desserts made up of fresh seasonal fruits and gateau's which are presented to you on a trolley which is constantly being wheeled back and forth from table to table. This restaurant may not meet the standards expected in the city but it comes a close second and retains its natural family Greek charm.

The restaurant can get quite busy and I recommend phoning ahead and reserving a table. Popular with kids. I am a big fan of spicy pizzas and my favourite is the rectangular Calabrese hot. I am not giving a 5 star review because their chilli olive oil bottle was clogged with pepper seeds thus unusable, the normal olive oil was absolutely tasteless (wasn't it supposed to be real extra virgin olive oil???) and they removed their coffee gelato from the menu.
