A welcome break from the chain coffee shops dominating Upminster high street. I hope they can improve on the sub-par level of food and pre-packaged goods we've come to expect living in a not-quite-London suburb.
The menu is pretty thorough, flowing from breakfast through to lunch, supper and afternoon treats. The food is of a good standard, but it is not perfect: To be picky I'd prefer fresher eggs, bread and fruit. However, the coffee can't really be faulted, it is easily of the same or greater quality than any of the other cafes and competitively priced.
That thing that keeps me coming back is the friendly service and local flavour. I like to come here because it has far more selection than most of the others, so it is great for groups. It's cute, comfortable and clean. I hope the garden continue to grow! read more
