Definitely more than just a gas station or convenience store, this has a pretty good sandwich place inside that is made to order. I got the fried chicken wrap and only wish I hadn't agreed to share it. Big and full of flavorful ingredients, it was a winner. The thanksgiving in a sandwich sandwich was also a hit. We went back for breakfast this morning. I'll be honest it was so good I forgot to take pictures! We both got french toast he got the 3 stack and meat and I did the 2 stack with eggs and meat. We both really enjoyed it. He also got an order of biscuits and gravy he said someone recommended it. I've never been a biscuits and gravy person. Gas station and car wash area are in operation and well-maintained. They nearly always have gas in stock, and the pumps are clean. The car wash is newly updated and does a decent job for a touch-free car wash. Gas here is often 20-50 cents per gallon more expensive than other gas stations on Johns Island. Sandwiches/food inside are usually great! They have a great selection of pre-packaged options as well. The chicken bacon ranch wrap is one of my favorites for lunch. They have lots of wonderful breakfast options as well. read more

Yummy lunch options served here! We enjoyed lunch here three days in a row. We packed picnics for the beach two of those days and ate at the outside dining area the other day. Let's be fair, when you are at the beach it is difficult not to think that everything is wonderful. And while some might say The Station receives rave reviews because of its proximity to Kiawah Island, we have found through the years that the food is fantastic regardless of a beach visit on the horizon. The Station is at Freshfields Village and is located inside the convenience store of a gas station (keep in mind this is Kiawah, even gas stations have upgraded status here). We favor the fried chicken wrap, chicken tenders, and fries, and some family members recently enjoyed a BLT. This little deli is packed with flavor and they are always busy. There is some seating inside or take it to go and enjoy on the beach! When we last visited closing time was listed as 3pm, so please call to confirm! read more

Don't be fooled by the fact that this place is inside a convenience store, this is one of the best Deli's in the charleston area. They have hot and cold sandwiches and everything is cooked to order. My husband and I happened upon The Station after returning from our honeymoon cruise. Though this is actually a gas station, you wouldn't have guessed it, if it weren't for the gas pumps in the front. The inside was clean, organized, and pristine. Went here today while on vacation and got food to-go. The service was quick and they were very nice! They double checked that my order was correct before I left. We LOVED the onion rings, you must get them. The sweet potato fries were good too. We loved the Rueben sandwich. The club panini was good as well, loved the dipping sauce. We weren't a huge fan of the bbq sandwich, needed a little something besides meat and sauce. The wraps were huge! Great pickles with all sandwiches too! Really liked this place. read more

I was pleasantly surprised the food is pretty good here. We had breakfast and I got an egg and bacon sandwich on a biscuit. The biscuit was a pretty decent size and there was a lot of eggs on it, so it left me pretty full. There is some seating, and you can purchase pretty much any type of beverage there. Alright, so time to reevaluate the infamous burrito... A previous review here posted by Fred D. would scare anyone from possibly even coming over here, but I decided to be brave and give it a shot to see how bad it can be. Verdict? It was actually pretty good today. The cheese could have been melted alongside the egg, and a gourmet hot sauce selection would completely change the experience as well, but the perfectly crispy hash browns gave a great contrast to the scrambled egg, cheese, and hand-minced sausage pieces inside (there is also the choice of bacon). Conclusion: If I lived close by, I would eat the breakfast burrito regularly. Also, the portions for what you pay for the sides is an unbelievable value. The sweet potato fries were good, and the fried okra was what you would expect any place that knows how to cook up some good southern soul food. On a final note, the area and the ambience is a huge plus. It was a good experience; I will definitely come back. read more

This charming "vintage" feeling gas station restaurant/general store has some of the best food on the island. The breakfast is delicious as well as lunch. The staff is friendly. The lunch might be ok but the breakfast was awful. I had the breakfast special ($6.95) with bacon, grits and eggs. The bacon came with too much grease and were thrown away. The buttered toast had so much butter and the grits were very lumpy. The scrambled eggs were bland (no salt and pepper) but edible. No one seemed to care or even asked about the meal. It's a shame because the is in an upscale community and could be soooo much better. I would not come back and would not recommend this place for breakfast. read more
