The attendant on hand was friendly and welcoming, and not pushy, allowing us to browse quietly at our leisure, and answering any questions we had. We ended up buying the last bottle of a fantastic perfume and a bead bracelet identical to one that my wife had lost, both of which made her very happy. On a related topic, we mentioned that they ought to look into carrying the Zodica perfume brand (my wife's favorite), as each scent is tailored to a specific zodiac sign, which seems like a perfect match for such a Bohemian boutique. Very recommended!

I am not a gardener but my wife and my mother are and they loved looking at all the plants and bought a few. There's four goats! You can feed them peanut shells, which they love. It was adorable. And there is a super cute shop with lots of local things for sale. Fudge, flowers, soaps, cards, all sorts of gift things. Definitely worth a visit!

I always stop here when visiting Whidbey for healthy & fresh food, unique gifts, plus appreciate the friendly service! It's a beautifully stocked store in the heart of Langley. At the deli, I usually get the greek salad full of cucumbers, stuffed grape leaves, egg and veggie quiche, etc. It's an awesome place! read more

The flatbread was nice and crispy with a good flavor for something pre-made and just needed to be heated. But the highlight of my visit was the Autumn Heat tea. The "Heat" refers to the spice level (one of the ingredients is Hot Honey), you can choose for it to be served hot or cold. I chose to have it served hot. I really enjoy spicy food and drinks. This tea was very spicy! If you enjoy spicy foods you should give this one a try. Otherwise, I recommend you pass on this one! As normal, the staff are very friendly, knowledgeable about what they sell, and polite. Always a pleasure to shop at The Book Rack.

They have everything from vintage knick knacks to toys to books to small furniture. And clothes, TONS of clothes, all organized by size, style, season...you name it. They also have a large selection of household items, like dishes, bedding, towels, and small appliances. One thing I really appreciate is that they have dressing rooms so you can try things on! Some larger thrift stores have done completely away with this option, and while I understand why, I appreciate the ones who still have them. The line can get a little long at the counter, so keep that in mind if you're there on a busy day. But if you want a great thrifting experience, and to support a lovely small town business, definitely give Island Thrift a try!
