I really like places like this in the area because a lot of restaurants are sit down and have a waiter but The Stand is quick serve and casual. Nice place to just pop in on any occasion for a quick bite. Service is fast and casual. There's great seating inside and out and we never have a problem getting a table. It's comfy and chill with sports games playing on some of the tvs. The food is always delicious and hefty in size but a little on the pricier side. I wish the burgers came with fries rather than having to order them as a side dish. I also wish the napkins and utensils were a little more readily available because you do have to ask for them and sometimes that can take a long time if the counter is busy with customers. But still, The Stand is a really solid option and my family loves coming here! read more

Yesterday we had lunch at The Stand in Calabasas. Two of us had our pups with us so we sat on the nice patio and enjoyed a leisurely lunch. One of us had the Build-Your-Own Turkey Burger as a lettuce wrap with pickles, mustard, gruyere cheese, and mushroom topping. It was delicious! Staff: The team here is really nice. Being it was our first time here, we took awhile to order, but they were so patient. Also, the young man who brought our food to the table was really nice. Quality/Quantity: The food is so good here and exceeded our expectations. We got the Stand burger, kids burger combo, and chicken teriyaki plate. The burgers are super delicious with a charbroiled taste like Carls Jr had in their finer days but way better. The buns are brioche so very light and airy. They even put the buns on the grill to toast them which really enhances the flavor. Definitely, my new favorite hamburger place. Value: I found the pricing to be very reasonable. Overall: We stayed in the area so we stumbled upon this establishment by chance and I'm so glad we did. In fact I loved this place so much that we came back a second time two days later. Went here with my boyfriend, I got the chicken club sandwich and french fries, he got the stand burger and the cookies and cream shake. They had lots of indoor seating and some outdoor seating. I also used the bathroom and it was nice and clean in there. The costumer service was great, the girl working the counter answered all our questions and gave us recommendations. I work close to this location and we order often because food is good. However, there is always something missing or wrong with our orders. Usually there are 3-4 orders at the time. Today we requested ranch dressing , but there is NONE. Last time, chicken was in the salad ( vegetarian person) and one before fries were soggy. I had an amazing experience here today! First the cashier was so friendly and helpful and patient while we decided what we wanted. The menu is awesome and you can't go wrong. This is a family-friendly casual dining spot we frequent - there are lots of delicious food options like hot dogs, burgers, salads, sandwiches, milkshakes, a coke freestyle machine, beer & wine, free pickles... it's always a hit! There is lots of parking within close proximity to the restaurant. There are clean restrooms inside. There's lots of seating inside & outside. The service is always friendly and helpful. Food is prepared fresh and it's ready within 5-10 minutes. Some of our favorites are: the sweet potato fries, onion rings, turkey burger, the quinoa crunch salad, the BBQ brisket sandwich, and the customizable hot dogs!! You really can't go wrong. Here are the things I wish would improve: we frequently need to ask for tables to be cleaned. You have to ask for napkins, they are not readily accessible which is frustrating when you're with little ones who are eager to snack on pickles while we wait for our food. This was the best meal I have had in a really long time! The burgers were fresh and perfectly cooked! We got the ABC burger, the ultimate egg, a bowl and the bbq brisket and I have never wanted multiple helpings in 1 sitting! The brisket was incredibly flavored and the pretzel bun took it home! Everything looked delicious and for dessert, we just had to try the cookies and creme shake! Fantastic meal and the customer service was pleasant and fun! Made the whole evening that much better! I was in town for the weekend and looking for a quick bite to eat and came across this burger spot. It was very easy to find with plenty of parking. They have indoor and outdoor seating with heaters outside to keep you warm. We came on a Sunday afternoon after lunch and it wasn't too busy. I ordered a salad, brisket sandwich, chili cheese fries and mac and cheese. The sandwiches come by itself so you can order the sides separate. They have a list of sauces at no extra charge and the cashier who helped us recommended a spicy chili aioli and a jalapeño aioli. I wasn't a fan of the aiolis, but the ranch seemed like it was made in house and it was very good ! The Mac and cheese and chili cheese were pretty bland. The salad wasn't fresh as the lettuce was already browning. The portions were a good size and the salad had enough toppings to keep me full. They had a good selection of shakes/desserts but I didn't get to try them cause I got food coma after. Plenty of shops nearby to walk it off tho :) read more

Food and drinks were delish but for the cost, I would've been happy at an In-N-Out burger place. I do have to say the unique choices they had were enticing. This place kind of reminds me of Skinny Fats in Las Vegas. There is indoor seating and outdoor patio seating. We opted for the outdoors as it was a nice day. Service is fast and very helpful with helping us choose our items. It is a pretty pricey place. A kids burger meal, my sandwich and my fiancé's burger along with a drink and milkshake cost us almost $50 bucks. The size of the sandwiches and burger was not worth the price. read more

Tried this place because I like burgers and it was close to my hotel. Ordered online for in-store pickup; my order (Ultimate Egg Burger) was ready on time and tasted great! Customer service was outstanding! I was greeted as soon as I approached the counter. There was some kind of issue with the bag in which my order was placed, so the staff member serving me switched it out. Looks like a fun place to dine in as well. I have been many times since my last review. Little has changed except now I don't eat indoors (COVID cautious). Still order at the counter. A small fast moving line at 12:30. No problem getting a table for two outside. They bring your food to your table. All of the counter workers and food runners were super friendly. I got my usual Southwest Chicken salad ($13.50). one of the best tuna sandwiches i ask for a tuna melt on sourdough bread with lettuce instead of arugula and it is just so good. i like the portion too it was filling but too much to make me feel overstuffed. the stand burger was also to die for and i love the way they make their fries they're so thick and crispy. they also have little containers of pickles that you can get up at the cash register which is amazing you really can never have too many pickles with your sandwich!!!! read more

Perhaps I'm giving The Stand five stars because I've remember the mediocre food this area had in the 80s. Still, I'm always excited when a restaurant exceeds my expectations. I ordered a limited time Italiano salad and a southwest chicken wrap. Unlike many times I've ordered southwest chicken something, The Stand's chicken was actually tender (not dry). The corn salsa and other ingredients, including crispy tortilla strips, were nicely blended. The Italiano salad had croutons made of Parmesan cheese, a huge plus for those of us who must watch carbs. I wasn't familiar with half of the pickled and fresh vegetables in the salad, but it was an inspired combination. My mother was so impressed that she went back and told the people behind the counter how much she enjoyed our food. (She does not do this often.) The woman who took our order was not only patient and helpful, but also friendly. Perhaps it was because we arrived after the lunch rush, but we chatted a bit about our experiences in colder places. The interior was a bit noisy, but outside it was relatively clean and pleasant for eating. The signs indicated that they wanted us to leave our dishes and trash for the employees, but we ended up tossing the trash we knew would blow around. The restrooms were very clean, too. An enthusiastic thumbs up for this fast casual chain. It surpasses many other popular fast casual chains with a similar price point. read more

Very good burger, don't remember the name. It had interesting sauces on it, but I tried it as it came and really liked it. Nice and clean place and nice helpful staff. The soda machine has a hundred choices, but most of them were out. They said they didn't get their soda shipment, but there were other choices, so it worked out. Their shakes are really good too, had to get one to try it and donate a portion to a good cause they are supporting. Always a good experience, but I miss the Brussels sprouts that used to be on the menu. They were unbelievably good. read more

I have to say I'm throughly disappointed. I frequently visit The Stand locations in Northridge and Encino and this was my first time at the Calabases one and it was not pleasant. The customer service was not the normal friendly Stand vibe. The line moved SO incredibly slow... people in customer service should be able to read the room.. with two people hovering over one register and the line waiting and not moving in over15 minutes it was ridiculous. It wasn't until I said something that the other person opened another register. Of course I got the epic eye roll for questioning the delay.The food tasted just like the other locations but I have to say the Buffalo chicken sandwich I got had minimum ingredients inside. Usually it's packed with cabbage slaw and chips but this was a disappointment. I think I'll stick to the other locations with a more pleasant experience. read more
