But they do so much more! We have a really big backyard without having land, about 1/3 of an acre. We had a terrible sprinkler system installed by the previous owner that was truly a joke on covering our grass. A couple years ago, the worst sod company ever (Stay Fresh Lawn Services - never use them), did an absolutely terrible job extending our sprinkler system. Enter Alfredo, our lawn's sprinkler savior. I got three different quotes and plans on how to make our system work with our six zones that actually work. Alfredo's was not only the smartest plan, it was the least disruptive, required the fewest new parts, and it provided efficient coverage of our entire lawn. It was also priced better. About 70% of our lawn used to roast and turn yellow in the summer. With Alfredo's sprinkler design and installation, about 98% of our lawn was green through the whole summer. It was and is unreal. He showed up when he said he would every day, provided realistic expectations, and let me know what he was doing when plans changed or when he thought of a better way to do something. He made the project fun to be a part of, and he takes a lot of pride in doing it right. We found our sprinkler people for as long as Alfredo is a part of Action. We love this business!

In the beginning of June, I used the Request a Quote feature on Yelp to get our home irrigation system all set up. This is our first summer in the new house, and naturally repairs were necessary for the sprinkler system. Teague was responsive, professional, and very easy to work with. Though I had to shell out some $$ for parts, he was very transparent about what was needed and ended up giving me a slight discount on his labor and time. Weeks ago, we got it running by having our trustworthy regular sprinkler man replace the controller and troubleshoot a few sprinkler heads. To our surprise, it worked. That is, until we received several notifications from Aurora Water that we were using tremendous amounts of water. We got our regular guy back to the house, but he couldn't find any apparent leaks. He also couldn't find the second (backyard) valve box. It's a pretty big backyard. So, I started to trace the front yard valve box wire to the second valve box by digging it up. It quickly became apparent, it was the equivalent of finding the Titanic unless I wanted to spend days, perhaps weeks, searching for the elusive valve box. I contacted our regular guy again, who many of you know and appreciate, and he referred me to Irrigation Genies. They specialize in sprinkler systems of all types. They also specialize in complex sprinkler issues including locating lost valve boxes and leak detection. I emailed the company and Chris Cortez, the owner, sent back a message with a few possible underlying scenarios...and the various costs to fix them. I shared as much pertinent information that I could and scheduled an appointment date, yesterday, 7/25. Chris showed up on time and got right to work. It took about 45 minutes or so to locate the buried valve box with an electronic device. He noted each of the 3 backyard valves were ancient and 1 was broken, leaking. Chris spent about 6 hours in tremendously hot conditions, and replaced all 3 valves so we wouldn't revisit that problem any time soon. Chris was methodical, professional and friendly. Considering the amount of work he completed and the complexity of the problem, he absolutely nailed it. I cannot praise him enough. He worked in a stepwise manner, located the mysteriously hidden valve box, fixed the problem - and more - and did it with an A+ attitude. If you don't already have a sprinkler company, I highly recommend Irrigation Genies and Chris Cortez. Otherwise, if you have a complicated sprinkler problem, call him today. I am incredibly thankful and impressed by Chris, the work he performed, his manner, attitude and professionalism. I think you will be too!

Had a broken sprinkler head that needed fixing, so I called Kaizen Irrigation. First off, they took…read morelonger than expected to come out - that was frustrating. When you have a busted head and water is shooting everywhere, you want someone there yesterday, not next Tuesday. The price was reasonable, though, I'll give them that. The technician knew what he was doing and got the head fixed pretty quickly once he arrived. What I appreciated was that he also took the time to adjust my Rachio controller settings without me even asking. That was a nice touch since most irrigation guys fix the immediate problem and bolt. The work itself was solid - no complaints there. The new head is working perfectly and hasn't given me any issues since. It's just that initial response time that knocked them down from what could've been a 4-star experience. Would I call them again? Probably, but I'd plan next time instead of treating it like an emergency. If you're not in a rush and want decent work at a fair price, they'll get the job done.
