After a day full of drinking and relaxing on Chautauqua Lake, we were looking for a cold, creamy treat to wrap up our day and the night before, we had seen signs for The Sprinkle Cone, so we decided to give them a try! On a Saturday, around 8pm or so, the family and I were walking downtown Jamestown and came here for a cold and creamy treat! From what I could tell, they only served hard ice cream, which was locally made by Addie's Ice Cream, along with sundaes, floats, etc., so no custards here, but no complaints here! After perusing their flavors, we were able to go right up to the window and place our order. There appeared to be about two or three people working, but they were courteous and quick, including the woman who took our order. There were a couple of benches near this shop but more than likely, expect to stand or walk somewhere else to sit. We all ordered medium-sized ice cream cones and upgraded to the waffle cone for an additional 75 cents. I went with their New York Cheese Cake and Mint Oreo Fudge flavors. The NY Cheese Cake flavor was on top and was very creamy! I loved how the cherries were swirled in. The Mint Oreo Fudge was an excellent closer for my ice cream cone as it was fudgy with plenty of Oreo cookie pieces and the right amount of mint flavor. The medium-size was the perfect portion too, it left me plenty satisfied. I will admit the prices might seem a tad on the high side, but the ice cream was very good and I like to support local places when I can. Overall, The Sprinkle Cone scooped out a great experience with friendly customer service and quality hard ice cream. When I come back to Jamestown, I wouldn't have any problems coming back and trying a couple different flavors! read more

W-O-W. This ice cream. The words escape me as feelings and images of the experience wash over. It's great. First rate. I've eaten a lot of fancy ice cream so I will designate myself an authority. The space is open, airy, laid back and a little punk rock. Family friendly with the Buzz Cocks playing in the backround. There's an 80's feel about it all in just the right way. The proprietor makes the ice cream himself with fresh cream every Tuesday. It's sooooooooooooooooooo goooooooooooood!!!!! NOT OVERLY SWEET. For example I find Perry's cloyingly sweet. Too much for me. Sprinkle Cone hits it just right. I went with my brother and his two teenage kids. Everyone was unexpectedly blown away. Here's the breakdown. Me: Vanilla and Berry Cobbler in a Sprinkle Cone Ethan: Mint Oreo Fudge and Reses Chunk in a cone Bro: Toasted Coconut and Strawberry in a cone Flynn: Don't remember 'cause he inhaled it! This was a fun ice cream spot! Lots of flavor selection and different options for the kids and grownups. Lots of spots to sit and enjoy your treat. There was a box of chalk for the kids to decorate the sidewalk while they waited for their order. Definitely a place we'd visit again. read more

It is really difficult to find good vegan ice cream. This was EXCELLENT vegan ice cream.

My friends and I have been DYING to try this place because we've heard such rave reviews! We saw on Google they closed at 10 so we drove there from Bradford PA. We got there at 9:05, but Google lied! They close at 9 weekdays. The guy running it was nice enough to take pity on us. I'll forever be grateful because this ice cream shop blew my mind. They have a nice variety of extremely creamy delicious ice creams that you won't find at the other ice cream shops around Jamestown/Lakewood. It's a unique experience. They even have gluten-free cones! I got a sprinkle cone with cake batter ice cream in it. So rich, creamy, smooth, and has a dead on flavor. I felt like a kid sneaking a finger full of cake batter. Bestie got pistachio which was a very delicious creamy bold flavor. I wanted to sneak a 2nd spoonful haha. Amigo dos went with the Reese crunch. Such rich flavorful chocolatey goodness and chunky fudge peanut butter which was a great contrast to the buttery smoothness of the chocolate. I also wanted to steal another spoonful from him haha. It's a little more up there on the price point, but worth every penny because this truly is a step above the rest in every way. It's a more modern take on an ice cream shop, and offers bubbles and sidewalk chalk to keep the old and young amused. On the menu are the usual vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry, as well as some unique flavors. During my visit, they had toasted coconut, mint Oreo fudge, and pralines and cream. In total, there were about 10 flavors, with a little of something for everybody. My husband and I both enjoyed our ice cream, it was creamy and had good flavor.
