My husband got the customizable omelet and a black coffee. He was happy. I deeply regret not getting a cocktail or mocktail - the menu looked fantastic. The staff were really great and it was a great atmosephere. The jams were being pumped into the restaurant at a louder volume than usual for brunch to fit the social club/lounge vibe. The music was all good retro hits... I wouldn't mind eating breakfast every Sunday to the sounds of Earth Wind and Fire, Bill Withers and Stevie Wonder. People were singing along. It was a good morning. If you have mobility issues - there is a small step up for the bathroom and a limited number of low seated tables.

The place is full of eclectic artwork, televisions over the bar and great lighting. Seating is limited but roomy especially at the bar. There is a nice , inviting lounge area by the window. Definitely an INSTA worthy spot. Food is good enough and plenty of variety. Service was personable and food was prepared to order and served in a timely manner. Worth the drive from Providence and would definitely go again.

The inside has a really fun upscale lounge vibe with colorful lighting, floral decor, hanging lanterns, and a huge centerpiece tree that makes the whole space feel almost like you are dining in a tropical garden. It feels trendy and lively without being overly loud, which made it a great spot for both dinner and drinks. For drinks, I ordered the mai tai and one of their mocktails. Both were well presented and came in beautiful glasses. The mai tai was refreshing, balanced, and not overly sweet like many places make them. The mocktail was also excellent and felt thoughtfully made rather than just tasting like juice. For food, the short ribs pho was fantastic. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the portion was generous with tender pieces of meat. Definitely one of the better pho presentations I have had in the area. I also ordered the sizzling steak pate with baguette, which came out hot and smelled amazing. The steak was tender and savory, the egg added richness, and pairing everything with the fresh baguette made for a really satisfying dish. Overall Monkey Lounge delivers on both ambiance and food quality. It feels like a hidden gem if you want somewhere with strong date night energy, aesthetic decor, and Vietnamese fusion dishes that actually taste as good as they look. Would absolutely come back again.

The bar offers 5 beers on draft, bottled beers, sangria, margaritas, tequila, and cocktails. The place has a cozy dining room with tables and booths to the right and the lounge with full service bar with seating & flatscreen TVs and booth seating. I stopped by Tulum recently to watch some Sunday football. I headed to the bar to sit in front of the TVs. The game nearby was showing on the TVs and almost done and my game was coming up. I was given a food menu and requested an ice water. I was given complementary warm & crunchy chips & medium salsa. For an entree, the Grilled Steak Fajita Chimichanga ($17.19 plus tax) served with Mexican rice, charro beans, guacamole, sour cream, & lettuce, The very hot big plate came out in 14 minutes after ordering. The fried chimichanga was filled with tender grilled steak strips, peppers, & onions, topped with cheese sauce & pico de gallo. The beans were topped with cheese and very soft and the rice was cooked right and not mushy. I requested a box for some of the chimichanga. For dessert, the Fried Ice Cream ($5.99 plus tax) was a comprised of a hard scoop vanilla ice cream coated with crispy corn flakes & caramel sauce, caramel & chocolate drizzle and whipped cream on the side. The check with Toast QR code was presented, which came out to $24.79 with tax. The food here was excellent, the service was attentive at the bar and I enjoyed watching the first half of my game on the TVs at the same time. I would stop back here for Mexican fare if I'm in the area.

The Lobster Mac & Cheese was outstanding, honestly better than what I've had at places like Capital Grille. Add in the fresh, delicious bread, and the meal starts off perfectly. I highly recommend the Brandt 14 ounce Aged New York Sirloin; it was easily my favorite dish of the night. And don't leave without trying the New York Cheesecake the perfect ending to an amazing meal! The ambiance of the restaurant was warm, elegant, and inviting, making it a great place for a relaxing dinner. The atmosphere paired perfectly with the excellent food and attentive service, creating an overall upscale dining experience. A special shoutout to our waiter, Quinten L., who provided exceptional service throughout the evening. He promptly cleared our plates after each course and even wiped down the table between meals, which really showed attention to detail. Thank you, Quinten L, for making our dining experience even more enjoyable!

When it comes to steaks, I rarely eat out because I have a paranoia of being let down. I always buy my meat from a butcher and cook them beautifully on a charcoal (yes, if you cook on propane it's not actually grilling - poser) grill. This trip to Amelias reinforced why I shouldn't stray from handling good meat myself. The place itself is cool, my grandmother was very impressed which is honestly all that matters. Of course she was enamored by the bread options and the whipped butter with olive oil was honestly a nice touch. I ordered a bottle of pellegrino and was surprised the waitress never topped me off (get your mind out of the gutter). Whatever, I had to serve my own drink but at a place of that caliber you'd think the wait staff would understand that when a bottle of any sort is purchased they should be asking the diners if they'd like a refill. We ordered the tuna tartare and my grandmother had never even heard of such a dish before. She enjoyed a bite and then I inhaled the rest - yes I am fat and hungry NOT SORRY. We ordered our steaks and I got excited too soon. I can't help but shake my head, I NEVER get steaks out any more because even at steak houses I am most often let down. I am not trying to sound cheap but at $68 a steak I am expecting a melt in your mouth masterpiece (that's what they used to call me back in the day) and honestly the meat we got was a MAJOR let down. Steak alone has it's flavor and this piece was lacking. They overcooked it and it was genuinely tough even with the LITTLE pink they allowed me to enjoy. I was really heartbroken but the only reconciliation for this was that my aged grandmother was ecstatic and this meal wasn't for me, it was an attempt to treat my grandmother to what could be one of her last few really special meals. For her it was and that's the only reason I'm not giving this place two stars.
