If they feel like their service was not good enough for their customers, they will reach out to make it right. This is what they've done for me recently. My GPS said I was running 12 minutes past my appointment time so I decided to call Gambuzza's to let them know of my delay. Being 25 miles into the drive, I told her that I would do my best to be there by 2:10pm. This upset me as I just drove 25 miles and called to notify of the delay. I wanted to cancel right then but really needed my haircut. I did my best and arrived in the parking lot at 2:12pm and immediately got a call from Hailey that my appointment was cancelled. This upset me as I told her I was in the parking lot. She couldn't care less. For me, being a returning customer who has waited long after my appointment time, on the barbers to be available, this was very disappointing. Hailey lacked courtesy and proper customer service. Was there no way to accommodate me? So I got to drive another 35 miles home. I drove 70 miles and didn't get a haircut and was shown no grace. I let Haily know that I wouldn't be back to visit her location. So I am writing you to let you know that I will never visit any Gambuzza's locations ever again. That she caused you to lose a returning customer. And that your policy should have some sort of grace period. In fact Harold the barber/owner has an attitude that I even brought up the fact we were waiting. Harold was putting his hands up telling me he is respectful to his other customers. No Harold, you were rude. You know these places cancel appointments for even being 5-10 minutes late. We are at the appointment 10 minutes early and still waited 30 minutes past the appointment time. During the appointment no one is speaking at all. At the conclusion of the appointment he did not provide my son a lollipop and reported having no more although my nephews who had appointments 30 minutes prior both had lollipops and reported seeing a drawer full. That is how Harold the barber and his son treat CHILDREN when they are upset with adults. Harold reported his son being "in training and learning", however, good customer service is explaining the issue in advance and expressing your gratitude for being patient and still waiting. Terrible, terrible terrible. Also the son "in training" costs the same amount as a skilled barber...interesting. The result is alarming: the top was left oddly puffy, the back completely unshaped and uneven, and there is no blending or alignment anywhere. The haircut lacks any professional structure -- it appears rushed, imbalanced, and unfinished. It genuinely raises concerns about whether C.K. has any understanding of basic haircutting technique. What's most upsetting is that my son went in with beautiful hair and reasonable expectations, only to leave with a cut so poorly done that it now will require corrective work elsewhere. This wasn't a minor issue. It was a careless and unacceptable service. I cannot recommend this barber to anyone. If you value quality, consistency, or basic professionalism, look elsewhere.
