Great head shave for a great price! I've been in search of a good place for months now. Even though this is a bit of a drive for me, it's totally worth it. The place is nothing glamorous. Just a place to cut your hair, chat a bit and leave. But that's totally okay with me! I wish i got the name of the person that cut my hair but I hope next time I'm there he's there. Cash only so I know that for next time! read more

Harold the barber and his son who is in training. Very unprofessional. His son was 30 minutes late for an appointment. Once it's time for said appointment the son (in training) nor the "owner" express any apologies for the wait. In fact Harold the barber/owner has an attitude that I even brought up the fact we were waiting. Harold was putting his hands up telling me he is respectful to his other customers. No Harold, you were rude. You know these places cancel appointments for even being 5-10 minutes late. We are at the appointment 10 minutes early and still waited 30 minutes past the appointment time. During the appointment no one is speaking at all. At the conclusion of the appointment he did not provide my son a lollipop and reported having no more although my nephews who had appointments 30 minutes prior both had lollipops and reported seeing a drawer full. That is how Harold the barber and his son treat CHILDREN when they are upset with adults. Harold reported his son being "in training and learning", however, good customer service is explaining the issue in advance and expressing your gratitude for being patient and still waiting. Terrible, terrible terrible. Also the son "in training" costs the same amount as a skilled barber...interesting. They sped off in their fancy cars and didn't look back at the conclusion of the late appointment. No bueno Harold Sr ad Jr no bueno. Also the haircut was not good at all. read more

Harold The Barber - A terrible haircut too. A waste of $20! - Barbers Near Me - Round Rock, Texas

This is the worst haircut I have received in Austin thus far. I think they pay folks to give them good reviews as the quality contradicts what they say. lining was terrible, haircut was uneven and the barber seemed nervous with the clippers. I wish I could rate zero stars. read more

Thank you for the amazing cut and awesome laid-back experience! The online booking allowed us to set an appointment last minute before heading to Radwood. I discover Harold and Harold Jr sometime ago. I hadn't been in a barbers chair in quite some time. So I was extremely cautious. But Harold Jr took care of both me and my wife. We are so pleased with his work that we both have become customers who come to him for our barber needs. Both he and Harold Sr are super friendly and very professional. I strongly recommend them for your barber needs. Pastor F.D. Moore. read more

Loves Veterans and posts to his shop wall for all to see and his motivational background music was great! (Denzel, Dr. Munroe, and Steve Harvey) Recommended by a friend. Reviews on google were great. The cut: 1st he uses a comb...ol school. Love it. Towel and shave on point, and he does the towel flap. I loved my 1st cut and didn't need to look in the mirror. Now I'm back again. 1st time in a chair and finding someone you like is rare. Glad I did! read more

My husband's appointment was with Harold but when my husband told Harold he wanted to add beard trim, Harold waved him off and sent him over to his son's barber chair. My husband said that his visit was unpleasant because Harold kept telling his son to hurry up and finish with my husband because they were expecting other customers which made my husband feel very undervalued as a current paying customer. My husband assured the son that he would make sure his time was compensated. We will not be returning as Harold made it very clear that he did not value us as a new and potential regular customer. Not sure what was going on in Harold's mind as to why we were such a bother to him but that's okay, we can move on. I gave two stars because the son was very nice and did a good job! read more

Harold Sr. didn't honor his appointment and instead had his son botch a fade while he sat on his phone. Harold Jr was nice but needs practice and guidance(which sr did not give) Cut should have taken 20 minutes but I was there for almost an hour. I do NOT recommend. read more

The service is excellent and the price is right. This was my first time using this barber shop and Harold Sr. did not disappoint. He is very good at making sure you look your very best. I was a little confused by the building setup. His shop is the first room on the right after entering the building. The bathroom is down the long hallway and turn left. After that it's a great place to get a basic haircut and so much more. read more

Went to location and literally was hard to find. Not a stand alone barber. Looks like this is space rented. Was literally 5 min bc I couldn't find the place. Drove 30 min out of my way bc of the reviews but never know until it's your exp I guess. Def won't be referring anyone to this location. read more

Harold was recommended for my son's haircut and he did awesome. I really liked that I could make an appointment online and his place was super easy to find. I didn't wait but 5 minutes and his room was super nice. Harold made some great suggestions and places we need to grow my sons hair out from where the kid cut places butchered it. I love a hard part but we will have to let it grow and get one next time. I liked his honestly and suggestions, made me feel like it wasn't just an assembly line for hair cuts. He was great!!! Even better it was $12 cash! Even with a $5 tip we left spending a little less than the kid places and got such better service. read more

Harold has a nasty attitude, very poor customer service, doesn't make you feel comfortable would definitely not recommend.

I just recently moved to the Austin area, and was recommended to Harold by my cousin. I'm so glad I went because he hooked me up! Very welcoming, great conversation, and relaxed atmosphere. He and his son make you feel at home. Very fast and efficient , and will get you back in the game and looking good! Definitely recommend him if you are looking for a barber. read more

Harold Sr. is an excellent Master Barber with more than 30 years experience which is evident by his speed, precision and appreciation for his craft. But what impresses me most about Harold is how he seeks to differentiate himself from his peers. One example is how Harold utilizes technology to enable his customer base to quickly book appointments, yet he also uses the app to send inspirational and uplifting messages to believe, persist and achieve. I have been patronizing Harold for nearly three years and I would consider him a friend. His pricing is fair and he has different service offerings to align with your budget. Book with him and you won't be disappointed... read more

First off, it was one of the only places open past 6. I saw in other reviews that you should show up early, so I did and I'm glad I did. It was a little hard to find, because this isn't a standalone shop... it's inside of a place called "salons by jc," so you have to hit a keypad next to the door to get in. I asked for a pretty simple cut, and got exactly what I was asking for. Had a nice conversation, overall would say it was a great haircut experience and will definitely be stopping by much more often. They take their time in order to make sure you get the look you want. Recommend to anyone. read more

I was needing to get my head shaved, bald. Went to the old trusty yelp and found Harold the barber. I ended up scheduling with Tason. Had a great experience. He was running a bit behind but clearly communicated that to me and was apologetic for it but I understand that is life sometimes. I was impressed with the hair cut he gave the young man before me. Took his time to be sure he gave a great hair cut envelope though he was a bit behind and as I found out later he had travel plans as soon as he got me out of there. :). I had a great conversation during the cut. He took his time with mine as well and trimmed up my beard a bit. It was nice to be in a place where they are not just running you thru. I plan to become a regular there as I found a good one. Thank you Tason! Hope you had a safe trip. Btw, Harold was there when I arrived as he was shutting his station down and leaving with his son. I saw a picture on the wall of Harold with TD Jakes, and Tason said he was Pastor Jakes barber at some point. Again, I knew I was in the presence of quality people with that on the wall. Great place. read more

Harold did a great job cutting my sons hair! He was patient with him and even gave him a lollipop afterwards.

I've gone to Harold for over 2 years and the experience is like none I've ever had at a barbershop. I leave Harold not with just an excellent and professional haircut, I also leave inspired and ready to take on my week, challenges and goals. I really enjoyed my visit today with Harold. He is a honest hard worker and an excellent barber that pays special attention to detail which I appreciate. My hair can be challenging to cut since it is so thin but Harold does a great job. He is open until 9PM which is very helpful for people working 8-5 schedules AND he is open on Sundays which is hard to find as well! Give him a try and I'm sure you will not regret it. Love the vibe and Harold is very humble and friendly and did and amazing haircut on my son.

I really wanted to give this a 5 star, but I can't. I'll start off by saying he was a welcoming. The work station is kept up and the barbershop alone looks put together. Now every other barber I been to when you get a line up they use clippers to clean up your hairline then a razor to edge it up. The barber just used the clippers to edge up my hairline. Also while I was in target I noticed how my hairline was choppy and uneven on both sides. When I got home my fiancé and I noticed how the back and the sides aren't faded and looks like he just no guarded the lower half of my head. The haircut was definitely half done. He might of done a better job for others so don't be discouraged by this review if you're thinking about going then why not give this place a try this is just my experience. read more

My first time in Austin and I needed a barber, I'm pretty picky so I did a little research. I came across Harold The Barber via Yelp, set an appointment (was able to get in the same day), and never looked back. This is by far the best haircut I have ever gotten. I got two random compliments the same day, something that has never happened before, and my wife loves it. Harold is a cool guy too. Very friendly, respectable, and listens to you. I'd give 100 stars if I could. Thanks, Harold! I'll be back. P.s. Harold is inside Su's, you won't see his name in the window. So if you think he's no longer at that location, just walk inside Su's. read more

Harold is the best barber I have encountered in the Austin area and trust me I have tried plenty. He is extremely professional and courtesy. I admire his ambition and drive as well. Disappointing! Harold wasn't available, so my appointment was with T. Robinson. Not sure if he's in training, but he certainly isn't prepared. Told him I wanted my head shaved bald. He went over it with clippers, and handed me a mirror. I almost thought he was joking. I said, "bald; razor bald". His response was, "oh, I don't have a razor to do that". - Even Harold asked, "You don't have a razor?!" After I left, I notice this guy missed a spot, even with the partial job he did. Guess he had his eyes on the next customer before he finished. I'll not be back. Sorry, Harold, your partner lost you a customer. Update: Last night, Harold called me and apologized for the disappointing visit. It meant a lot to get the call from Harold. We talked a bit, and I'll visit him again. I'll just need to be certain my appointment is with Harold read more
