The owners, Michelle and Amber are serious about making the business the best place to work so they really can choose the best therapists. You'll regularly find the entire staff supporting a kiddo on their birthday with a fun shirt or costume, which speaks volumes to a "customer first" culture. They have sensory rooms in the office that are genuinely one of a kind in the States. When specialized care is so difficult to find, it's a relief to find a place like ODPT to calm your nerves. Watching your kid's progress in a safe space that they really enjoy visiting week after week is happiness in a bottle. She keeps my son's interest and attention to the task. He has learned and improved a great deal since he has been coming here. I have referred several families to NTS, who are now clients as well and are very pleased. I have seen other providers of occupational therapy conducting therapy in small rooms with barely anything in it (maybe a ball and a floor type swing). NTS has several rooms full of equipment and toys, a skateboard ramp, a zip-line, rock climbing wall, and more swings than you can think of. I had the worst experience ever here. Starting from the director, Hope D. My son went to this…read morelocation for less than a month and after one meeting they released my son stating he was bi-polar, schizophrenic, and some other crazy diagnosis. They even accused my son of making the therapist uncomfortable because he was starring at them inappropriate, he was 8 with the mental capacity of a 3 year old. Then there was an incident where they said my son took his clothes off and threw them in the toilet because of a behavior and they were more worried about a another potential family seeing him while naked there. They had forged documents, they called CPS on my husband and I after I requested all documents accusing us of everything under the sun. Hope laughed at me when she told she had called. CPS quickly closed the case after I showed them all my documents. This place didn't even feed my son lunch for days, he went from 9am - 4:30pm everyday, i knew because his lunch was still in his lunch box everyday. I had to email and ask about it. These few incidents are just the tip of the iceberg of what went on in less than a month. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE, THEY KNEW MY SONS STRUGGLES AND DID NOT CARE TO HELP HIM. THEY DO NOT LIKE PARENTS THAT DOCUMENT AND KEEP RECORDS OF EVERYTHING. OUR SPECIAL BABIES ARE TO IMPORTANT TO LET PLACES LIKE THIS HURT THEM. I attached pics of how they sent home the clothes my son so call threw in the toilet, I have no idea what was on it, remind everyone he was not potty trained so it was not toilet paper. It was white residue all over his clothes with no explanation from this place.
