My daughter with Autism goes here and we couldn't be happier. The staff is very friendly and takes good care of our girl. They offer a variety of activities and go on community outings. It's a great place for my daughter to go and be able to interact with her peers. I highly recommend this center! read more

I love taking my daughter Jasmine here. She is doing great, becoming more independent and using more of her words to communicate. We have been to several dayhabs, but this is where she's doing her best. They honestly care about her and not just about the money like so many others. Their prices are reasonable, they have a great staff and do an awesome job meeting each one of their needs. Go and Check it out for yourself!!! read more

Ever since our son aged out of the special needs program in CFISD we had been looking for a day program that he could be involved in. There are not many options in this part of town, and the ones that do exist tend to be crowded or not suited to his functional level. When we saw the signs outside Julian's House we were hopeful that we had found what we were looking for. After meeting with Dyon and Ingrid and hearing their story and their vision for Julian's House, we decided to give it a try. For the first time since he was in school, our son gets up in the morning excited about having somewhere to go. He arrives at Julian's House looking forward to working with Ms Summer. And we are pleased to know that he's spending the day in a safe environment with people that we trust. We look forward to watching the program grow and develop. read more

We tailor each of our programs to meet each person's special needs, and we staff a team of highly-trained and well-qualified individuals to provide care and support. History

Established in 2018.

In January 1995, our son Julian Crawford was born in Hawaii while his dad was serving in the United States Air Force. When he arrived into this world, we discovered that he was born with a Grade IV bleed in his brain which caused him to be Intellectually Disabled, Autistic, suffer from Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and he was also diagnosed with a Seizure Disorder. From there our journey as a family began. As parents, we felt that it was imperative to be actively involved in his education. We would sometimes spend days at the beginning of the school year to ensure a smooth transition between classes and teachers. In 2015, Julian graduated from the Life Skills program at Cy-Falls High School. While we were very proud of and excited about all of the progress he'd made, we were left wondering "now what do we do?" We wanted to create a home-like environment in the Cypress, Texas area for young adults and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Meet the Business Owner: Dyon C.

Firstly, my wife and I are parents of a special needs child. Julian's House was founded because of the limited resources available to our son. Many resources are programs where limited or had a 10 to 15 year waiting list. Other programs were either too far, too expensive or not age appropriate. We felt that there had to be a better way. As a result of our experience, Julian's house was opened.

I chose to cancel after realizing the program is not covered by insurance and is not recognized as evidence-based care by insurers or standard clinical pathways. That was not made clear upfront, and it should have been before any financial commitment. What followed was worse. After cancelling, I was given information about my financing and the bank that did not match what the bank later confirmed directly. There was constant back and forth, conflicting information, and I was being pressured about money I did not owe. At one point, I was told that if I did not pay additional money, I would not receive my financing back. Let that sink in. Frank Amato's behavior escalated the situation. His communication was rude, dismissive, and condescending. He crossed a personal line by questioning my judgment as a parent, including making comments about why I chose to have a child with my child's father. That is completely inappropriate and unacceptable. Nothing was resolved until I escalated and brought the bank directly into the conversation to force transparency. Only then did the information finally align, the refund get processed, and the loan get closed. This entire experience created real fear around my finances and my credit -- something no parent should have to deal with, especially while caring for a child with ADHD. For clarity, my child is now doing well and receiving therapy that is evidence-based and covered by insurance. Be extremely careful. Verify everything directly with your lender. Get everything in writing. Do not rely on verbal assurances.
