Great breakfast place & light lunch. You have to try the sausage rolls as well as the pancakes (only available on Saturday, but to die for) Filo tarts are great (especially salmon) and I really enjoy the toasted sandwiches. read more

Service is slow though; there was only one waitress manning all the tables outside. The prices are expensive: my avo on cornbread was the cheapest at about 6 pounds or so. The avo portion was a bit skimpy compared to others I have gotten but definitely enough to coat the bread. I have to say though I expected proper soft cornbread and this was more of a hard bread. The superfood salad was a steep £11.50 but it was fabulous: slightly spicy puy lentils atop greens, and a very generous portion at that.

The produce here is fantastic and you can tell there's been so much love and attention put into every single product. The chicken liver pate is really nice here and full of flavour and I would also highly recommend purchasing on of their quiches to take home and have with some nice salad. They've just opened a small cafe on the side that compliments the deli and serves a great selection of sandwiches and (my favourite) pork pies. The atmosphere is great in here and everyone is really made to feel at home.

Alio's has been around for at least 20 years, and is the best place to buy Italian produce. It is…read moreowned and run by the same Italian family who started it, and walking in, you would think that you are walking into an typical grocers in Italy, not Surrey. All the food is brought over from Italy, and as you would imagine, at least two isles are devoted to pasta. Pasta with names like farfallini, pappardelli, rigatone, as well as your standard penne and spaghetti's. One brand of pasta that took my attention was Dreamfields, which is a low carb pasta. That means that all those poor people who are doing the low-GI thing (like myself), can at least have the same meals. So as well as a good Italian wine selection, and plenty of pastries, there is a large delicatessen here. I usually go to pick up artichoke hearts, and stuffed tomatoes and peppers, but the other day I had one of their toasted panini's. It was stuffed with parma ham, mozzarella cheese, peppers and chillis. It was the most mouthwatering thing I have eaten in a long time.

Having been raised in…read morethe Itlaian neighborhoods of the NY suburbs, I have relatively high standards for an Italian deli. And this is a great little deli. The locals seem to flock to this place pretty frequently. The owners new customers by name (always a great sign), and there was a line when we got there (which moved quickly). Plenty of pastas, paninis, antipastas, and more. We placed a massive order for 5 people and sat outside. Everything was delivered quickly and we ate while reaching our forks over each other's plates to make sure everything was tried, and nothing was missed. I didn't spend too much time looking, but there is a little shop as well which offers different sauces, pastas, etc. for purchase. They all look delicious, and great for a gift basket.
