Omg I love there lobster Roll. It's the best place all around. They are so nice to everybody.

We stumbled into this place while at 2026 BMW MOA rally. Rode by one day and parking lot was packed. We ate there on Sat night in the bar. Lots of people outside with Karaoke going on. Eric the bartender was friendly, engaging and great guy. Drinks and food were great! As an added bonus we met local guy Lenny who everyone seemed to know. He was great to visit with. Wish I lived closer but we're in Cali! read more

This place is considered to be a bar but don't let it fool you, the food they have is a full menu not just deep fried bar food your regular everyday home cooked food. I got a steak and it came with all the fixings, it was cooked to my liking and it came out in a timely manner. The service was vary welcoming and friendly if you like the fast pace and a little louder then usual crowd come her to eat. Great environment, Cozy little Restaurant, and the food is exceptional for being more known as a bar not so much as Restaurant, I ate to much of my plate before I took photos, so here's my wife's. It's pork and gravy read more

Gillian is a phenomenal bartender! I will only ever sit at the bar when I go to spanked puppy during the day. The food is usually very quick, lots of regulars who are very sociable. I often go on weekends to see their live music and play cornhole out back as well. Wonderful large space! read more

Wow! Really great food! Graveyard sauce on the wings was great! Lots of football. Hubby said meatloaf was OK, just on the sweet side,

Great local spot! Cozy atmosphere. Delicious food. Great service. Casual and dive bar vibes in the best way.

The food was awesome! I had the best wings I think I have ever had....one of the locals recommended Ron's blend of dry rub for the wings. The flavor was spectacular! The bar area was festive. It was a perfect couple of hours. read more

Maybe I hit a bad day, but, stopped there to have lunch with 3 other buddies. Ordered a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. It was ok, but, there was a large 1/2 inch piece at end that was a hard piece of pure fat and gristle. It should have easily been caught and cut off during prep and before I chomped down on it and found it that way instead. Other issue was greasy silverware. My knife had a thin smear of grease on it. Whoever was the dishwasher there needs to improve their wash technique. I went there once in 2024 and never had an issue, so maybe things have changed there over the year, and not for the better. We're meeting for lunch again mid-Summer. It won't be at Spanked Puppy again, at least for now! read more

I don't usually post if an experience was negative but this was so awful I feel I need to say something. I went there for dinner the other night and ordered the prime rib medium well. What I got was a plate full of cut up chunks of burnt fat, gristle, muscle etc. just a whole bunch of bits and pieces. Looks like they had cobbled together something from plates coming back after people ate. It was so disgusting I couldn't even get enough courage to say anything. I ate the string beans and half my baked potato. The waiter was so sweet. Asked if I wanted a Togo box. My boyfriend's piece of meat was equally fatty and gross but at least it was a whole piece. Not cut up chunks. I wish I had taken a picture. The image in my head will never go away. read more

Met with one of my Work peers here. Very eclectic menu & anterior but folks are super friendly and accommodating asking what I like and why I should choose different options on their menu. I would go back nice local hang out. read more

WOW. This place has amazing food and it is so yummy but I felt so full after. Nice treat to get after running so many errands. The service was so good and so fast. The staff was really nice and respectful. The outdoor spots next to the bar were so nice and surprisingly not a lot of bugs were around the area. It's also not as crowded out there and more peaceful. 10/10 read more

I enjoyed my beer and poutine after a bike ride. I sat at the bar and watched the women's NCAA basketball finals. The bartender was fast and attentive and friendly to regulars but brusque with me, the outsider in bike clothes. The bar was full of locals and loud but I sort of liked the ambience. A fun place to stop for a beer and burger. read more

We spent a couple days in the area and The Spanked Puppy was the closest place to our air bnb so we took a chance. It did not disappoint and we had a great dinner. It's a local watering hole so don't go expecting anything fancy. I had the cream of tomato soup and honestly I could have had 5 more bowls it was THAT good. A nice cheddar grilled cheese with it just hit the spot. I ordered an iced tea and it was fresh steeped, sooo good. My husband had the Cesar salad with crispy chicken and the dressing was homemade as well. He loved it. Appetizer was the Thai wings and they were perfection. The bar felt like a scene out of Cheers...great spot, highly recommend!! read more

Not a fancy place but the food was good. It was very busy and our waitress was serving the entire outdoor patio. She was very patient and accommodating to our group of 10. read more

I hadn't known about this place and since COVID, I have not eaten out. When I found out they had an outdoor seating area and would have COVID Rules, in place, I decided to join some friends for a nice socially distanced meal on the patio. I really liked the menu offerings and the prices are very reasonable. I ordered a reuben and fries. It was delicious and copious. I took half my sandwich home. The fries were perfectly cooked. My friends enjoyed their meals as well. I'll be back. read more

We were traveling thru the area and the menu looked good on Yelp so we stopped. We love finding great non-chain restaurants and this is definitely a great find. The staff was funny and very helpful with recommendations including some generational recipes that are loved by the patrons. It has a bar on one side and restaurant on the other but definitely the small town version where everyone knows your name. . Food was great and we will return when in the area again. read more

We came here for dinner once and ordered takeout another time. Overall the food is okay, the wings and cheesesteak were good, the cheeseburger and fries were okay, the quesadillas were quite bland. The drinks were drinks. Unfortunately the vibe here wasn't great for dine-in. Some of the bar patrons were quite loud and obnoxious, and I got the impression they were regulars. The staff were friendly, and I wouldn't be opposed to coming again on a less crowded (or maybe more crowded) night, but I might just do takeout next time. read more

Went here because it was one of the closest places to eat from the place we were staying. Service was good. Friendly waitstaff. Probably fun place if you live around here, to stop for a drink after work and want a quick bite to eat. Wings are good, burgers are dry. Fries, so so. For a place to eat on vacation....skip it. read more

Went here twice during our stay in colchester. Avoid the brunch menu...the bacon was severely undercooked and the offerings were very limited. We also went to dinner and the food didn't disappoint! Delicious sandwiches and fresh-cut fries. Great drink options. read more

Popular local pub. Great place for a quick bite. Very friendly staff. Good food. We'll be back.

Service was very friendly, but extremely slow. Food was great and beer was cold. I got the chicken bites, which are basically boness wings. Tasty. I finished up with the french dip sandwich. Au Jus was a little on the salty side, but the roast beef seemed hose made and was really tender. Overall a great place if you're in the area and are not in a hurry. read more

Local, friendly, good food and a nice place to watch football. Servers was great. Very local spot.

Great spot! Passing thru on a hot day in the middle of the afternoon. My family was seated right away, there is a sit down dining area (where we sat and it was quieter) , pub/bar area and sit down by the pub area. The menu offered so many comfort options, it was difficult to choose. We tried the wings, seafood platter, fried pickles their special burger and beef stroganoff. Everyone was happy and the service was great! The food did not come out right away, nor did it take a long time but the restaurant was not super busy. we did have five orders. When we left, it was early dinner time and the place was filling up. Nice AC as it was a hot day. read more

First visit and didn't stay to order. Arrived for brunch around 10:30 am. Hostess was polite and sat us right away at a table outside. Waited about 20 minutes and was never approached by a server. Tables nearby were being served and checked in on several times. Approached the bar and was ignored while servers prepped roll-ups and menus for another 5 minutes before deciding to leave. Ambiance was another good reason to leave as several patrons next to me were having a burping contest. read more

Great local spot and best brunch around! Ted and Kristine do a great job delivering fresh, tasty food at a reasonable price. The place is FLOODED with talented musicians and has a great trivia night. New waiter, Eric, is a giant loser who only delivers losing pull tabs. 10/10 don't recommend listening to any of his podcasts. However... 10/10 recommend the Puppy! read more

Spank puppy needs an interior redo, you know bring it up to today's century. Our server was excellent. Food not as much. Fisherman's platter was all processed frozen food. Coleslaw was getting ready to walk to compost. Maybe we ordered the wrong food, but really we won't return. read more

What a fun local hangout! Definitely a lovely bar scene. We were tired from a long day so opted for the quieter dicing room. Server was super attentive and helpful. Owner came over and hung for a bit too. Super funny and nice. Good quality pub food with some nice twists. Reasonable prices. Looking forward to stopping in next time in the area! read more

The Spanked Puppy is great! Came here when visiting a local college and now it is tradition to come and eat, have a few beers, every time we visit. read more

We go to the Puppy often. It's a great spot for families. The staff is always friendly and offers to bring crayons and toys for our kiddo. The inside is a classic pub/bar vibe and the outside is great in the warmer months. We enjoy going to see the bands. The food is solid. Great daily specials. Again classic pub/bar food with some really great entrees as well. read more

Had Sunday morning brunch here while on vacation in VT. It is a very divey, local place. I think it would be a fun place to have a few drinks with some locals but as for brunch.. well it was subpar. The avocado benedict (on special menu) said it came with avocado smash that was actually just ice cold packaged guacamole. I also ordered a side of pancakes and one was completely dough/raw in the middle. The waitress did take it off the bill, so that was nice! The wait time for food was slow and they were busy but not packed. Also, it was freezing in there. Most people kept their jackets/hats on while eating. Overall... it wasn't terrible but I feel like there are much better brunch options in the area. read more

Food is always good. But the older lady that works there is always talking bad about other people and her employees to customers. Especially when she is in there drinking. It's very unprofessional and something that should be brought up to management. It's very unbecoming to have an employee talking such bad stuff like she does. read more

Super friendly staff and great place to catch a game in the bar area. Bartenders are very personable as well. Worth a try.

We stopped by for a quick drink after a long day of travel and ordered two Tanqueray & tonics. The bar staff was friendly and the drink servings were very generous for the price. The atmosphere was friendly as we were obviously mingling with locals who didn't know us, but everyone knew everyone else. It was a nice experience. read more
