So I came in to get my screen fixed, my phone worked great…read more When the screen was fixed, the phone stopped connecting well, and it became impossible to make calls It appears that the antenna was damaged during the repair. I was offered the cost of the repair as a credit for a new phone, which I had to decide on without being able to research it (with no working phone) I accepted, tho it was out of power, so I couldn't verify it would work. It didn't come with the stuff required to charge it so I had to get that too, go home, charge it.... Only to find out this phone was locked, when it was sold and labelled as unlocked. I had to go back again, and they exchanged it right away, and it didn't cost more, but all in all it was a mixed experience. The repair effectively bricked my phone - so getting credit for the repair, rather than for the phone itself felt like I was worse off for having come here. Then I had to fork over more money to get a new phone, which I obviously would have been better off doing in the first place instead of trying to get this repaired. I had to buy a phone without researching it, and even then it didn't work right away. The second error with the unlocked phone was a minor one, but compounded with the whole repair-wrecking-my-phone, it felt like a lot of hassle, low value, and not a great arrangement. I'm sure other people will have better experiences, but its hard for me to say it all went super well.

I am disappointed in TekSavvy. Besides the massive increase in price over the years, both at the…read moreend of the promotional period and then price creep, I recently went online to move my service. There were clear options to keep my service at the current plan, or upgrade or downgrade. Since my needs have changed, I decided to downgrade, saving about $25/month. Clicking on "Next", I get a message "Oops! Something went wrong! Try again or call us at [toll free number])". I tried again, with the same result. I tried again. Same result. I tried again, but kept my current plan. No error, and I was able to proceed. I went back. Tried again to downgrade, and again "Oops! Something went wrong!". Tried again, but chose the upgrade option. It worked. I went back. Tried again to downgrade, and again "Oops! Something went wrong! Try again or call us". I tried again, keeping the current plan, and it worked. Now, I may be a little slow sometimes, but clearly, the system is set to deliver the "Oops" message when one tries to downgrade, and if they were upfront about it...as in, "hey, call us so we can discuss your needs and see if downgrading is the right choice for you"...then, I'd still be miffed, but at least I wouldn't call them out for their dishonestly. In the end, I kept the current plan. As soon as the move takes place, I will likely go to Oxio, who are offering a regular, non-promo plan for faster speeds at a lower price. Ciao, TekSavvy.

I was having trouble with my internet service and phone dropping out so I thought I would switch to…read morea smaller, local company offering internet service through my cable connection which had been solid as a rock. I signed up with Teksavvy and between 8 June and 18 July I had 13 drop outs of internet and phone service. I would have to power cycle the cable modem and service would be restored. During this time I contacted support service and they would find nothing wrong. After cancelling the service and returning the equipment I got an email saying I had failed to return the equipment. I did have an email from them after i had returned the equipment saying I had a credit balance, but they still said I failed to return the phone adapter after I sent them notice of my equipment return tracking data with Canada Post. I have no way of proving that I returned the phone adapter so I am going to pay them $56.44 so they don't turn me over to a collection agency. If you do return equipment to Teksavvy after canceling their service, make sure you take a picture of the equipment in the return box.

I'm going to give a ton of love to this Best Buy. I don't get the low ratings…read more I stayed at the Courtyard Ottawa East during my entire visit. My view consisted of seeing the Starbucks cafe that I visited every day. I could also see this Best Buy across from the cafe. After picking up a grande chocolate cream cold brew as my birthday perk, I parked in the Best Buy lot and consumed it immediately. It was so good. I then got out of the car and headed inside this store. When you look at this store's exterior, it has that typical pointy blue box look. This store has probably been around for at least ten years. However, when you walk into this store, it's stunningly beautiful. I loved looking at the Marshall speakers and headsets. The display was appealing and you could press buttons to check out the sound coming out of these devices. I saw weird items, such as self-cleaning water bottles that were on sale. There were two models and the cheaper one was going for $89 after a $10 price reduction. Yikes! I hope that they self-clean well for that price. I found a Casemate chain phone wristlet. It looked cool classing up your phone. I kind of like the extra security of having the chain around your wrist. Although my phone case does have a PopSocket, I have dropped my phone a bunch of times because I can be a klutz. This wristlet was my present to me. I browsed some more. I like that associates here don't approach you to ask if you need any help. Leave me be to explore. If I have questions, I will hunt you down. My usual routine is to check out the Google Pixel section. I am happy with my 6a phone, but like looking at the newer 7a and 7 Pro models. The Google Pixel Watch is also nice to look at. I went to pay for my item. I had a nice man helping me with my transaction. I learned that my wristlet was on sale and that $14 was knocked off the regular price. Yay! I paid with a credit card. The transaction was successful. I thanked the man, grabbed my item, and headed to my car. It was straightforward adding this accessory to my phone case. It's stylish and functional. It's awesome! I enjoyed shopping here. I'd return when I'm in the area again. (276)
