On a Saturday afternoon, the parking structure was packed. The top floor was taped off, so pretty much parked at the top and got lost on my way down. Thankfully, the building itself is huge, so it didn't feel too crowded. I think they had some K-pop event going on today, but not too sure what it was. I did see some people dancing though. I'm glad more businesses have been popping up. My mum got a cute little mushroom lamp, and I saw some plate-ware that I've been wanting. I remember I bought some 58 Tassen from Amazon Germany, but didn't know they came in smaller sizes! Also, definitely check out Princeton for something fashionable. I love that there's a sale whenever I visit. I feel like they have pretty much everything here. Last time, I came for the Yelp screening, and the line was longer than I thought! So, if you're coming here for an event, arrive a lot earlier. Anyway, I know I'll be back again because I love walking around. The architecture and layout is so lovely for sightseeing. read more

This is one of my favorite spots for Korean street foods and treats! Definitely check out their food court and the various venues throughout the shopping plaza for Korean fried chicken, Korean corn dogs, and the ice cream and so many other delicious desserts. There are also a few restaurants for a nicer eating ambiance, but so far, I've only returned for the food court items. Also, one of the ice cream vendors downstairs kept my credit card on accident and when I traced it back to them via their Instagram account, they helped me as best they could and took care of the issue without delay. Nice service for the most part, but I've also only been here during the weekdays when they weren't too busy. My go-to place for Asian food experience. My first stop is the food court. I recommend going around and seeing what types of food are offered in each stall. At first, it was confusing because there was an order counter that took care of the food order for the whole food court. Your number will be called when the food order is ready. I recommend sitting by the area where the food was ordered. It could be loud when it's busy and there are a lot of people inside. I've tried Korean soft tofu soup and the fried kitchen. The soup is a personal size and bubbling hot. It came with banchan and white rice. The second choice is to try desserts. I tried the different flavors of donuts and baked goods. There are more restaurants and stores to discover. This place is a gem! read more

I didn't really get to spend a lot of time here. I actually came to park for a Yelp Elite event. Hah. But I did get a quick tour and didn't realize how large this place was. They have parking on several levels and open up the higher levels like the 5th and I believe a 6th story structure on Friday and Saturday nights. The outdoor mall has many, many restaurants and even an indoor food court. I was very surprised at how many eateries they had. I wanted to give a shout out to the head of security who was super nice and we talked about the parking on the 5th floor which we thought was open to the Yelpies. I visit a lot of malls, and I found the security team super friendly compared to other malls. Very cool! I was not able to stop and eat at any of the restaurants however I shall return and check out The Source more thoroughly. FYI. They have a movie theatre as well and 3 levels of shops and restaurants. Tons of food and some entertainment options. I recommend to go as a family or even as a couple. I would often go by myself to get coffee or some lunch to-go from the food court. What a cool spot in Orange County for all things Korean! From clothes, to music, to trendy restaurants and dessert spots, and so much more -- The Source has a lot to offer, especially if you are a fan of Korean culture and products. Right when we walked in, the K-pop music was going and it immediately took me back to my time in Korea this past summer. There were so many shops, but we went here specifically for their pub and food to meet up with friends. There were so many choices and we thought it was a perfect meeting point. We ended up at Misoolkwan which was super fun. The wooden storefront and interior decor takes you back to 70's/80's Korea and the food was also tasty. We went right at opening and snagged a spot right away. By the time we were done, there were so many people waiting. We also had bingsu at a nearby cafe, but there's so many other choices like donuts, tangsulu, and more. Overall, we had a great time here. Wish we had more time to look around, but will definitely keep it in mind next time we're in the OC! read more

The Source OC is fantastic! There's plenty of parking, which makes visiting a breeze. With a wide variety of dining and shopping spots, there's always something new to discover. The folks here are generally really friendly and welcoming. Since there's many amazing spots and activities so close together, I find value in spending a whole day at The Source with my friends :) As a tourist, I make it a point to visit every year, and it never disappoints. I've been to The Source numerous times and usually I have a good time either at CGV movies and browsing around in the different stores. However, I honestly do not recommend the restaurants inside the food court especially the 2nd floor one. The food is overpriced, $20 for one meal and the speakers announcing the numbers are very very loud and overlaps with other speakers. The owners will spam press the announcement and I was not able to properly enjoy my food with the constant alarms and ringing from the speakers. I feel like there has to be a better way to know when our food is ready to pick up and hope they can implement it soon. read more

It was my first time at The Source--came here for a friend's birthday celebration. Such a cool spot! It's got a little bit of everything--great food, trendy shops, and an overall fun vibe. It was easy to locate with Google Maps, and there's free parking, though it can get a bit chaotic during busy hours. Still, the rooftop views and variety of stores make it worth the trip. We tried a couple of spots in the food court: a bibimbap spot and a sushi place. There weren't too many vegetarian options, but the food was good. To top it off, we grabbed some macarons to go for later. I'll definitely be back to explore more! read more

This is definitely my favorite mall to go to! I remember going back around 2019 and thinking how dead it seemed, but over the years, more shops and restaurants have opened. There's even a Kpop dance center! I like coming and seeing dance groups practicing in the center. It's such a cool vibe walking around and being there overall. Some of my favorite places include Misoolkwan, M Kbbq, Cosmetic World, K-Place, In-Sit Coffee, and Mealtop (I forgot their recent name change). The CGV theater is also great. Came around lunch time to meet up with a friend. Parking was easy and not much foot traffic during the day. I've been here at night when it's a completely different story. Went to the food court on level 2, which had more traditional Korean meals. I find level 3 food court is more of a hodge podge of restaurants/bakeries/dessert/drinks. Today we tried the tofu shop. We got both the dumpling tofu and the kimchi tofu. Loved both of them but definitely lean towards to dumpling more. However, it's worth noting that prices in the food courts can be a bit on the higher side. i spent so much money y'all, had to get dragged out before going in debt. So much kpop stuffs with multiple group albums available, the selections are endless ! the albums are much cheaper compared to target and walmarts, if you're a kpop fan and need albums/merch come here to spend a less amount of money! There was this store for small artists and i went insane, so much cute arts of my favorite characters especially vocaloid and pjsekai! There was also A LOT of genshin and honkai star rail stuffs basically half the store was that. The store right next had official sega merch and more ! little expensive here but very understandable. My daughter is into kpop, so she loves this place. IMO this is a poorly designed mall and what makes it worst is there is very little signage to tell you anything about the mall. We never found a directory to tell us what is in the mall. The first time we came here we wanted to grab something to eat so we went to the food hall on the second floor. After eating and going up to their third floor we learned there is another food hall with different food options, which would have been nice to know. Ordering at the food hall was unique because you can't order and pay at the actual stall, so that was a learning curve. Having the hear every number called out loud was a little annoying as well. We parked on the 4th floor and were trying to get to the 3rd floor of the mall so we found the closest elevator. Of course there was no signage to tell us what floor to go to. What made it worst is the parking floors do not match the mall floors. We later learned the 4th floor in the parking structure connects to the 3rd floor of the mall, we just had to walk past the elevator. Wish there was a sign that mentioned that. Instead we went down the elevator to find out there are two options for floor two. Unfortunately we chose the wrong option because I had to carry my son's stroller down a flight of steps to get to the second floor of the mall. A lot of these issues seem like they can be solved with more signs to help shoppers navigate this poorly designed building. read more

I visited The Source OC on Saturday, 1/27/24, in the afternoon. What stood out to me was the huge variety of shops and restaurants. I was able to stop by several places such as the Little Light, Sweet Box, Myungrang Hotdog and Allo & Lugh. All of the staff members at each business were very welcoming and kind. Parking was accessible and easy to find in the garage. I recommend coming to The Source OC to try out great restaurants or shop for clothing, particular products, etc. read more

Not sure about weekends, heard it's busy. Not far from KnotsBerry Farms. They have a HUGE cafe here and bakery. Hot food is made fresh to order with reasonable prices. No lines in bakery section (2nd floor). Baked goods still made fresh! We tried the Basque Cheese Cake with a Pineapple sparkling water soda. Great combo! Beef bulgogi was bomb from a small food shop (served on a hot skillet with rice) and the Sundae sausage was bomb. (3rd Floor). I'll come to The Source for one thing and one thing only, and it's for this cotton candy vending machine. It's such a unique concept and you can watch the machine spin the perfect fluff. Taste 5/5: Taste like cotton candy lol very fluffy but I did find the center to be bitter maybe I didn't like the flavor ? Experience 10000/5: It was so fun watching the machine make the candy. What is this? A mall? Shopping center? It's my happy place is what it is. I go to The Source OC because it brings me joy. Not only are there 2 food courts, there are restaurants on every floor! This place has more food options than the mall of America (that's not true. I've never been to the MoA.) The stores have the coolest styles, the latest K-Pop, specialty items from Korea. My favorite shops are: Little Light (the aunty that works there is super cute and all her food recommendations for Misoolkwan were all the items I picked which confirmed my good taste in food), Okbingsul, Old Ferry Donuts, Hansang, N.Cat. I had fluffy pancakes from Basilur recently and that was amazing. Honestly sometimes I just go to The Source and buy nothing. I just walk around, window shop and appreciate the vibe read more

This entire place is a resting spot for teens, with adults sprinkled in. Definitely not catered for grown ups, but dayemmm your kids will LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I love food, but a weak point that's VERY obvious as you stroll around for eats is there is no variety, pretty much Korean food tour in food courts and random eating spots. Fantastic spot for some local Korean food! Everything I ate here was delicious, and I'd definitely recommend stopping here if you get a chance and walking around to try some bites from a couple of the restaurants. Order Pictured: Mozzarella and Sausage Potato Crusted Korean Corn Dog Tteok-Bokki with Mozarella Korean Sausage Deep Fried Sweet Potato, Shrimp, Squid, Seaweed, and Dumpling Set Black Sesame Ice Cream Cone The Korean Corn Dog was a great start to my experience at the Source OC and tasted fantastic. The potatoes were soft and fried perfectly, and the light fried crust was a perfect texture. The split between sausage and mozzarella was strange texturally at first, but tasted great overall. Definitely would recommend! The Tteok-Bokki here was the best I've had (though most of my experience with the dish comes from Idaho) and had a perfect level of heat that stuck with me for a while. The rice cake was soft and cooked perfectly consistently throughout the dish, which is something I've found other places struggled with. The mozzarella also offered a way to cut the heat a bit if needed, while helping to improve the flavor a bit as well. The Korean Sausage was definitely a unique experience compared to other sausages I've had, but it tasted fantastic and I'd definitely eat it again. The deep fried seat also had a good balance between the fillings and tempura, and had a good variety of flavor profiles. However, I found the shrimp to be a bit overcooked and chewy. Finally, the Black Sesame Ice Cream Cone was a great way to end my trip with an interesting take on the cone, and the black sesame added a great contrast to the creamy ice cream taste that created a unique profile I can't quite articulate properly. Service was just mid lol but the waitress had like 7 tables to herself. After walking around I noticed many restaurants that I wanted to try. We also got macaroons which were huge and good! In the past, they've had concerts, festivals, and community events and such in the courtyard on the lower level. There is also a movie theater, a karaoke lounge, a virtual golf & sports bar, a kid's indoor playground, an internet cafe & gaming, & a virtual reality battlefield. I was impressed how clean the whole building was... not a bunch of trash swirling around in the rare windy day I was there. MY FAVORITE PART... Free, easily-accessible, and clean parking lots. I feel bad giving this food court only three stars because the food is pretty good, but the service is exceptionally slow. How it works is you order from a selection of food stalls all at once from a kiosk and then when your number is called, you go to the kiosk and pick up your food. Some of the food stalls have photos up and others don't of their menu items. Kiosk can be a bit tricky to use because the menu does not scroll so you can't see the full menu. Even though you're ordering at a kiosk and picking up from a food stall, the food costs quite a bit and is comparable to a full service restaurant. My family ordered one beef cabbage stew from 36 Sulungtang, soy garlic chicken from Chicken Time, and cold soba from Aki Sushi. Despite only one item being made to order (the cold soba), it took 35 minutes from ordering to get our food. The stew is pre-made and the chicken came cold when they called our number, suggesting that it was made already. We actually quite enjoyed our beef cabbage stew, which came with more short rib pieces than the one at Tang 190 does, and the cold soba, but won't be back because Food Source is continuously very slow. We've eaten there twice now and it always takes over half an hour on weekends to get out food despite it not being busy. In the time we waited for our food, each stall maybe put out 2 meals before ours. And like I said, our food was not made fresh. The Source has so many great, faster spots that I won't be returning. I only went back a second time cause I thought the first time was a fluke. read more

The Source feels like your waking in Korea. There are a variety of stores however if you wanted a taste of Korean in California this is one of the places to go. There are lots of restaurants with different types of cuisines. There are lots of choice of desserts at this spot as well. A few of my favorites are the photo-booths life 4 cuts and there is another one right around the corner. Another is the karaoke place that has a discount code on their yelp page! The value varies by store but there is a free parking lot that you can park your car in. read more
