On our most recent visit, some of the interesting things we saw: recycled license plates made into belt buckles and bracelets; inner tube bracelets with Barbie doll head inset; great belts which incorporated old magazines into the design; handmade mugs and other assorted pottery; a variety of wooden utensils; hand painted silk scarves; various interesting vintage and antique items; hand made soaps; braided rugs; bedding. The list goes on. Every time I go there, I see different things as Tammy seems to move things around quite often. Hand Works is located in an old house - which is in itself a fun little building to see. She rents out one room to tourists. My mom loves Tammy - and Tammy bends over backwards to provide fantastic customer service whenever we are there. We only get over there once a year now, but she always recognizes my mom and stops to chat. Would I recommend: Yes Would I return: Yes

Tammy has the greatest attitude and can cook an even better breakfast. There are 2 rooms available for rent on the property with a cozy garden and warm giant deck. We always stay there when we tour Prince Edward County and always have an amazing experience. They carry a wide range of quality men's clothing from socks to sweaters to suits to shoes, etc. The diversity of the stock would appeal to a variety of ages. Ryan was extremely knowledgeable but gentle in his approach to sales. We will make the trip from Kingston to The Red Shark in the future based on the quality of the stock and the highly personable service.

After having 1-800 Got Junk come out and shock me with an insane quote, I needed an alternative. I was able to get a 16.5ft bin for 4 days - delivered and picked up without incident - for a quarter of what I was quoted from Got Junk! I booked it easily on their website, and was able to do everything (payment) online. The only one 'negative' would be no scheduled times available...it's anytime during the day, but honestly I couldn't care less about that when the price is right!

I am clueless when it comes to this stuff. On top of that the carpets don't match my furniture much and so I came in with a pile of carpet & furniture pieces, hoping maybe they'd at least set me onto the right color catologue.. The did sit me down indeed and within seconds I felt like I'd run into old friends who really cared. Never in any retail store have I been made to feel so important and completely at ease. Within 5 minutes she had 3-4 choices for me, her husband stood over her shoulder and added words of encouragement while calculating the amount of paint required, giving tips for patching and painting and I walked out 30 minutes later (a lot of which was spent just chatting about life in general) feeling like I had new friends who would be alongside for the whole project. Oh and they promised "We know you're on a budget so we'll never try to sell you the expensive stuff. We like to think like our customers". Seriously... this was probably the best retail experience of my entire life.

I'm a gal who likes unique clothes and accessories, but I don't like to pay a lot of money. So it was no-brainer that during my vacation time in Prince Edward County, Ontario, I had to stop into Picton and check out the consignment store on Main Street, City Revival. Wow. The 50% rack on the outside was already welcoming. It had a cute charcoal jersey dress that I picked up right away to bring to the fitting room. After a few steps inside, I noticed a Prada bag, a Fendi clutch and what seemed like hundreds of gorgeous jewelry pieces - all that seemed to be, well, cheap! What a find! I came with three friends, (one of whom is male, and he bought the most, by the way!) , and we bought some awesome brand name pieces. My best find? A silk Coach scarf/neck tie that can be worn a few different ways. It cost $10.00, and by the way, today everything in the store was 20% off! (My total, including tax was $9.05) There's no way I could have found a deal like that in Toronto. This store, like all consignment, second-hand and vintage shops, needs a lot of time to peruse through the (probably) thousands of items that are on the dozens of racks, shelves and hooks all over the store. (But if you are a vintage shopper like I am, you already know this) They carry a variety of sizes and brands. A few luxury brands I noticed: Miu Miu, Prada, Fendi, Coach and Gucci. I also saw Michael Kors, Banana Republic, Lululemon and Michael Stars. It also had a pretty decent sized Men's department. There was certainly a lot of variety, but you'll need a good amount of time to find that needle in the haystack. As far as consignment shopping goes, it's a pretty good one. The ladies at the desk were super nice and it's mostly because of them that I will certainly come back.

The first store that I visited at this mall was Old Navy. I walked in and loved how cheerful it was. I found a sales rack where all jeans were $9.99. I managed to find a pair of jeans that I liked and headed to the change room section. The man there was enthusiastic and led me to an open change room. My jeans fit perfectly. Mine! This store felt like an outlet. There was so much merchandise on sale. I was good and didn't get an entire wardrobe. I was content with my pair of jeans. I went to line up and pay for my item. There was only one woman staffed and she was taking quite some time to help the woman customer out. The nice guy who worked the change room came over and helped with me with my item. It was nice dealing with him again. I had a great experience shopping here. It's a good Old Navy to drop by. (340)

Sunrise Records were one of the stores that I would visit. I was thrilled to find this Sunrise at Quinte Mall. I felt like I was transported back to being young and carefree, listening to countless hours of music when I found out that this mall has both a Sunrise and a Sam. I was simply missing Yonge Street. I walked into this Sunrise and immediately browsed the new releases section. It is exciting to me to look at new releases and own a copy of the latest album that I am dying to have. It doesn't feel the same way when you are streaming music on your app! This store has an amazing selection of vinyl records. The downside is that vinyl is so expensive, thanks to only a handful of record-pressing places in the world. I saw INXS's Kick album go for $55. Insane! This store has cool music collections. It also had a Mickey Mouse collector's chess set, to commemorate Mickey's 90th birthday, for $90. Coincidence? I don't think so. I love the novelty items at this store. Pac-Man mugs and LED lights? Yes, please! Pusheen mini plushies? I want them all! I managed to get the remastered Pet Shop Boys's Actually album. It comes with an additional album of songs, remixes, and unreleased songs. The price was also right. I went up to the counter to pay. I got a friendly woman who helped with my transaction. I paid with a credit card and was happy with my purchase. (345)

There is a great selection of teas and coffees that keep you going back. In addition to the tea room, the boutique is our go to when we are looking for that special gift. We recently had our kitchen countertops replaced and Sheryl and Jason walked us through the whole process. Sheryl, with her eye for detail, helped us select the right colour and type of quartz for our kitchen. The end result was absolutely stunning! It made our outdated kitchen look brand new again. Jason expertly made the whole install painless and fun! The process was seamless and we are exceptionally pleased with the outcome. We recommend this dynamic duo to renovate your home.
