Nothing hits the spot quite like a steaming bowl of Chilli, even on a particularly hot day. Team that up with yummy brown bread slathered with butter and you're good to go for the rest of the day.
Fortunately, while I work at the outskirts of the cbd, there is a branch of The Soup Kitchen that's just a few minutes away from us. The Soup Kitchen inside the La Fuerza compound is small-ish and look more like a commissary than their mall-based ones, but it has everything you look for when you're craving. A full bowl costs P150 -- about the same as a half bowl plus the bread and butter. They charge an extra 5 bucks for extra butter, but I've been in there so many times they've given me a few freebies a couple of times. Yes, they know i love my butter. :p Anyway, the soup is consistently out-of-this-world good, so yes I make the short trek to La Fuerza whenever I want.
Wondering why I'm not giving this branch 5 stars after all that raving? They run out so fast! And when they do, that's it na for the day, you'll have to choose from the rest of their soup offerings. But don't fret -- their other concoctions are good, too. I'm just a hard core chilli fan. read more
