I came here last night for a private event for a friend. The venue is located in a strip mall and there is some parking. It is a small lot, so it did fill up. But, there were spots on the street as well. The venue is spacious and clean. It was a great spot for the event. There were slideshows running in multiple parts of the venue against the wall and there were tables set up for food. There were many tables set up in the main room where we enjoyed our dinner, danced and heard speeches from the stage. There was a lot that was done with the space. Had a great time. read more

My initial review of this establishment was only 1 star. I have been both a patron and a neighbor. This venue has had some questionable patrons attending their shows. Recently I personally reached out to the Management in person. I am updating my 1 star to a 3 star due to the effort put forth by Layton and Ralph to make things right. Being a close neighbor of this establishment Im not willing to allow our block to be trashed by patrons coming to concerts or private parties. My interactions initially were not pleasant but things turned around this past weekend. Im hoping in the near future I will be inclined to increase my rating from a 3 - 5 star review. Its nice to hear that the owners want to right by this tight knit community, I look forward to seeing you follow through on your word. Great local venue. The bar is separated from the stage space which is great because there isn't lot of chatting near the stage. This location has a full bar. I have purchased tickets online for this venue as well as paid at the door, when I paid at the door they accepted cash only (they have an ATM machine just inside the doorway) so skip the hassle and just pre-purchase your tickets. read more

We came to this club to watch a friend's friend do comedy. We hand VIP passes, so we didn't have to pay. Thank goodness. After the show the clubs turns a dance club and the DJ was awesome. The bartenders made great drinks and they honored my 20% yelp check-in. That's right. The drinks they served were in clear plastic cups. Wow! No glasses...It looks like it was about 10oz plastic cup. The cadillac margarita was $12.00 but with yelp check-in it was $5.00. So we grabbed a seat and they came over and moved us 3 times. It seems as if this club only caters to one race. I am usually understanding but this was some obvious bull. I am looking for a manager as I write. THUMBS DOWN. I Talked to the manager and he said, those tables are reserved for bottle service. I said, You should have it reserved and set up like it is for bottle service. The staff sat us at these seats anyway, each time and everytime . The staff who moved us was very rude. He said, security is kind of mean. I said, that's no way to run a business or treat the guest. I can have fun in any enviroment it doesn't matter where because I love people. This is when I am truly grateful for YELP!! Thank you YELPers for your reviews of SOL. My best friend has lived in Carson all her life and had no idea this place existed. We ended up going here on the spur of the moment one Friday night and had an absolute blast!! The venue looks like a hole in the wall from the outside. We were a bit indecisive at first upon seeing what looked like 3 security officers outside the front entrance. We decided to finish our parking-lot drinks of choice and figured what could it hurt just checking the place out... cover couldn't be more than 5 bucks right? Wrong, FREE - event better!! Upon walking in you would think it could be a room within a club in Hollywood. Impressive! The DJ was really rocking. If he ended up spinning something that no one was dancing to he quickly changed the beat around - it was great - excellent DJ!! No waiting for drinks!! People wise the place had a number of groups that had ordered bottle service - yeahh - which meant large numbers on the dance floor but not many people at the bar - excellent!! Big screen TVs made it easy to watch the game, and find out one tender was also a fan - or he just said it to get a bigger tip - it worked, so good job dude!! Met some new Carson friends, did not wake up feeling hung over, and will definitely return!! read more

I surprisingly had fun here last weekend. Its just like the reviews say, looks great on inside, and friendly staff (we got hooked up with a free bottle of champagne for a friend's bday!). It is kind of empty however, didn't fill up until like 11:30 pm. Maybe they should just open later. Or have early bird specials. They also botched my fiance's bill, charging him for 6 shots that his sister had already paid in cash. So, take cash don't open a tab, read other reviews and warned him, he didn't listen, so there you go. They worked it out, however, and took the drinks off his bill. The crowd were mainly Latinos and predominantly Filipinos. Young crowd 21-25, if you're a dude ( or a girl who likes that, I guess) and like getting flashed ass cheek and crotches this is the place, short tight skirts all over the place. It was funny. I think this is a cool spot to come when you have a group of friends that want to party nearby, and not hassle with parking and aren't interested in impressing people. Won't be back anytime soon, but if someone else has a bday I'd say this is a good option. read more

This place was fun but they did not honor the groupon coupon. My friend had a groupon for a table and bottle service for 15 ppl. After the first 8ppl arrived they started charging us saying that she already had her allotted 15ppl. When we saw that wasn't true and asked for our money back they said they can't give refunds, even though they only take cash. In addition to half her party being wrongfully charged, they tried to deny her the Jack Daniels she had been promised. Fun place to dance and have fun if you pregame! read more

It's small but quaint..The decor is nice, you would think you where in a much smaller version of a " Hollywood" club, The staff is without a doubt 5 stars, the bartenders and the cocktails waitresses are wonderful, so be sure to tip these ladies and they get the vibe jumping by dancing themselves. I know it's fairly new so there is always trial and error but for now I don't see myself venturing out to Carson to come here just because. A club in Carson?...Sure, why not?! The outside might fool you since it's in a plaza with a mechanic shop and a burger joint but once you walk inside it's very nicely decorated and has a trendy Hollywood club feel to it.Definitely does not draw in crowds from all over but it's a cool spot for the locals if they don't want to drive out to Hollywood. I've been here twice, the first time it was on a Saturday night and it stayed pretty dead the entire night and the music was...eh. The second time I went on a Saturday night again and there ended up being a nice size crowd but not packed by any means. The music did improve but I noticed the DJ played the same songs 2 sometimes 3 times over. Pro's: -Free parking in a lot -Free entrance before 10:30p on guestlist -Cheap drinks -Plenty of seating inside, reservation or not (that might change if they get popular) -Spilled drinks/wet floors are cleaned up immediately -Friendly staff Con's: -It's in Carson so I don't foresee it lasting if it doesn't bring in more people -They need better DJ's -There is a cover after 10:30. I wouldn't pay to get in this place. -The took away the $25 glow in the dark pitchers :( I live in the South Bay so I can see myself returning on a chill night or maybe after work for happy hour. read more

I ended up here with some friends last Friday night for what I think was their grand opening. The place was a lot nicer than I expected and the drinks were strong and well priced. The decor was amazing and made you forget that you were actually in at a strip mall in Carson. We had lots of fun and the staff was great. There really aren't any other places like this in the area. My birthday is coming up and I'm thinking about getting a VIP table here since it's so much cheaper than a table at a club in Hollywood. read more

I was here last Saturday night for a friend's birthday party and I have to say, my first impression of this club/lounge being in a shopping center was a bit amusing, I didn't think so highly of it. I thought it would probably not end well. My friends and I arrived early at 10:30. We sat at our table, they brought out our bottles and waited for good music to come on, by 11:15pm-ish 11:30pm the place was pack. The DJ played HipHop all night which was good, I can't complain although I do like house music. The night went by great. Its a bit small, restrooms are a joke but other than that it fun. Had an awesome experience with Jenn and The SOL Venue, she was amazing throughout the entire process and made our production absolutely flawless. She went as far as showing us how each light can be customized to ensure that our shoot came out exactly how we'd imagined. This is by far the best experience I've had in production shoots for our short films. I will be back to film more and more projects with Jenn and The SOL Venue. The whole team was so awesome!!!! Thought I'd give a review for this place. This venue is located in Carson, yep you hear it, Carson. It's about a few minutes away from the 405 FWY. As other reviews have stated, don't let the location of the venue fool you. It's located in a strip mall, think of some of the venues and clubs in OC area. Parking was just in that mini mall, it didn't get packed but if it did there's street parking. As you enter, there's a doorman and bouncer. Not your typical "hollywood" frontman, so no hassle. You enter the venue, first thing i thought, "Pretty nice upscale look". Greeted by a friendly smile from the door girl and then you're in. There's a full stock bar with attentive bartenders. On of them happened to be the manager, Abarham (spelling unsure) who was on point with the drinks and quick service; really nice guy. Once you get the drink on you can turn around to a very wide dance floor and a sound system that's as clear as you can get. No feedback, no distortion, on point! Music was from hip hop, top 40's to electronic. Table service you can do, prices I though are average. (maybe some bottle specials?) Mixed crowed. Night was great, went out to celebrate with friends. I gave this place a 4 star review because of the atmosphere, service and music....with those three there, all you need is great company; who needs Hollywood? read more

This place is a great spot to dance, drink and enjoy great company. I have been here several times and celebrated a few birthday party's. The bottle service is affordable. They always have good music. It's usually hip hop or old school music when I go. The drinks are always strong, so you get your money's worth. Tucked away in a Carson neighborhood, the interior of the venue will amaze you! Comfortable and trendy spot with clean restrooms! We came here for my boyfriend's band's gig and had a blast! This is a must visit spot for REGGAE MUSIC! Drinks were great and reasonably priced. I would suggest ORDERING A BOTTLE IF YOU HAVE A LARGE PARTY! You will receive a designated seating area and probably spend less then if your group separately order drinks one by one. I love the fact that there were couches, which you don't really see at shows. I think this place has great potential as a music venue but they really need to work on the execution. I came to see Blue Scholars (12/11/15) and even my Uber driver was confused thinking it was a club. The website says 8:30 as a show time, but turns out that's when doors open. I asked the person at the door when the band goes on, and he told me they're on in an hour. I asked if I could come back then to get my ticket and he said no, that there were no ins and outs (mind you, this is all taking place outside) so I just made my way in and waited. It was so uncomfortable. I felt like I was intruding on someone's private club event. They played loud club banger songs for most of the wait, before switching to a more underground late 90s / early 2000s playlist. Then 9:30 comes around. There's an opener. Everyone is surprised. They perform a pretty long set. Blue Scholars didn't come on until 10:30 and unfortunately I had to leave really early as I work early but the experience left me hesitant to come back. I think they should post set times and put more of an effort into communication. If I'd known the schedule I would've come later to the venue and grabbed food prior. I wanted to book a party there for December. We had a specific date in mind. I spoke with the guy via email and phone and never did he mention someone else wanted the day as well.. we set up a time for me see the place and put a deposit down. When I get there in the later afternoon the guy tells me they booked a concert for the night i wanted just that morning. Then tells me he hoped my date was flexible. After I thought about it I was like. He never said anything about more people are looking and I should put come out earlier to see it. Bad customer service if u ask me. read more
