The only one downside that could really change my experience is that it was a bit too hot inside. It was a hot mid-September day and my skin was pooling sweat. They had no air conditioning. Other than that, it's a cute fun little area in Long Beach. Parking is small so if that's full you'll be looking for street parking, but we didn't have an issue on a Saturday.

Also, you'll end up tipping the people helping out, and that will be extra (I think we paid almost an extra 100). From a parent perspective, it's a little awkward. You are told to put "drop offs encouraged" but a lot of PV moms end up hanging out or not knowing if they should stay or go. I've paid similar amounts to other types of birthdays and have definitely felt like the value was worth it. This place, not entirely sure, but understand it's an institution and place of tradition in the area. You have to bring your own food, but they don't serve cake. Make sure you bring socks.

Last night I had the time of my life. Chante' Moore was fantastic along with AsIz and Bella. Great Music Venue with such a incredible sexy , elegant decor. Definitely the South Bays hidden treasure and premier intimate up close and personal Venue in all the South bay. You can also rent this Venue out for private events at a Extremely reasonable price. Brock who is the Beverage and Special events manager, is a warm and personal soul who insures you a experience that is guaranteed to go off without a hitch. This Venue is becoming an experience which is bringing in artist you might find at a huge Venue, but with artist who are continually appreciating the small an up close and personal connection that they are finding with their fans who they allow to come along for the ride as they determine and gage both their music and shows while giving back. Thank you "Sol Venue" , Al B Sure ! , Chante' Moore and Eric Bellringer and I hear the entertainment is going to get bigger and better. This club was definitely a surprise lmao. When I first moved to California i came here, about three years ago and it was terrible! I vowed never to go back, but about a week ago I got invited to a party, and I went... Reluctantly. They must have gotten a new management team or something, because this club is crazy now! The new sound system was crystal clear, servers were way more friendly, and the place was way safer this time around, seems like they cracked down on a lot of stuff. Bartenders were pretty cool, got a free drink so i'm happy. (They also had this little blue drink with a damn rubber ducky in it, I forgot what its called, but dont let the bright colors fool you, if you drink one of these too fast, you're likely to wake up the next day with no memory of all the dumb stuff you did like me.) All in all, I felt like i needed to post a dope review since it made such a turn around. I definitely recommend it for a little weekend fun. Good stuff sol... Good stuff... We celebrated my mother's 60th bday yesterday. Unbelievable service from the staff. Our total fee to rent the venue included everything imaginable. We got all we expected and more for HALF the price of another venue we inquired about in Long Beach. Great location and easy access off the freeways for all our family in Long Beach/South Bay/LA. Great event and I will absolutely be sending everyone I know to this venue for their events. We were allowed to decorate as we see fit, though we did very minimal, as the venue is beautiful as is. They even booked a live band for us as well that did virtually every cover you can imagine, and the sound system was awesome! SOL Venue made my mother's bday one she will never forget, she was crying tears of joy. The very first time that I had gone to Sol it was to see Shwayze. I had never been to this venue before and did not know what to expect. Right when I walked in I knew the night was going to be a great one! The venue is the perfect size for a concert because no matter where you are standing from you are able to see the stage. We ended up getting bottle service and the table was right next to the stage and the service was great! Brock who is one of the managers at Sol made sure that our table was taken care with great service and everything went so smoothly. I really appreciated him coming over and checking up on our table. We had so much fun that we have already reserved a table for the next concert that we will be going to in a couple of weeks! Had an unforgettable night at The SOL Venue! Had no idea this awesome venue was here in Carson. Love finding dope places like this in the South Bay. Went here last weekend and I absolutely love everything about it. The atmosphere is so welcoming and inviting, the staff are so generous and the event coordinator was so helpful with everything- even got to try the private label beer! Really good music and over all great vibes. I also love the small intimate venues, no matter where you are it feels like you're with the band! Was here last Saturday at a private event and everything was amazing, just some loud guests at a business nearby that were very loud as people were leaving the event, but it happens! Such a shock to find something like this in Carson. Usually you have to drive 25 minutes to Hollywood to get ignored by your bartender/server. It's a nightclub with a lounge appeal and a huge dance floor. Service is quick and friendly. The staff genuinely seemed like they were enjoying being there. Drinks are strong and no Hollywood pricing here. Bathrooms are really quirky, you'll see what I mean when you go. Music at the right volume so you can converse. Security is massive and surprisingly friendly. One guy smiled said introduced himself as Shrek to me. It's air conditioned so it's never too hot or cold. The venue is perfect for intimate concert lovers. I visited the spot with my cousins from out of town. We came to watch Eli-Mac perform last Friday night and had such a good time. Nothing but great vibes from begging to end. No hassle at the door. The door host was actually very friendly and directed us to the smoking patio once we arrived. We had the chance to enjoy a good drink at the bar from Sonny (You're the man!) and watch some local bands before the main act. When Eli-Mac went on, the girls and I went crazy! Perfect Venue! I had my husbands 40th birthday party here. Brock was amazing to work with. It is a hidden gem in Carson with plenty of parking, even was able to leave my car over night. I was able to come in early to decorate and bring my own caterer and DJ. All my guest had a great time. The place was clean and had lounge couches and small tables , so you really don't need much, although I was able to rent some cocktail tables with stool to have more seating available. Brock made cute personalized drink menu, perfect touch! The drinks are reasonably priced and stocked bar with requested items. SO MUCH FUN. Went here for the first time last weekend for my sisters 21st. This place is the reason I even made a yelp account! They even gave my sister a comp'd bottle for her bday (guess she knows a good promoter). They just had us pay gratuity to the bottle girl, (who was so great I tipped her extra on top). She added me on FB and said they do a monthly comp bottle give-away on Facebook too. Whether I win or not I'll be back, this place is amazing! I had to make a yelp just to review this place! I came here on a whim for my cousin's bday last Friday, and I really don't like going out too much anymore. I had a blast. Everything was awesome, from the DJs to the drinks. (Not to mention I fell in love with the blonde bartender- Laura I think?) One of the managers even gave me a shot of their jalepeno tequila because I got their pretty early (9:30) and looked bored I guess. OMG!!!! Free2bmee hosted a Tasteful Tuesday's Open mic on Feb 16th. It was sooooo DOPE! 90's love jones rendition was the theme. The live band was amazing, and the singers and poets were inspiring. Not to mention the DJ, the bar, the crowd, and the TACOoooooos were FIRE! You cant beat that type of local entertainment!! The whole vibe was something to remember, and nothing that you would forget! I heard Through The Roots were in town and I had to come see them perform in Carson. There is no other music venue in the South Bay where I would rather see them perform than at SOL Venue. I needed to film a music video at a cool venue and found Sol on peerspace with reasonable prices and spoke to the owner Brock who was very nice and accommodating. As soon as we arrived he showed us around and asked if there was anything we needed and let us have full assess to the bar and stage area. Everything ran smoothly and Brock was always around with any request or questions the crew had and I would highly recommend this spot to shoot a commercial, music video, or drama. read more

The banquet rooms vary in size. There is a large atrium, ideal for large events. The natural lighting in this atrium is simply beautiful. There are plenty of clean bathrooms on the property. This entire property is clean with plenty of free parking. The parking lot is brightly lit for night parking. The taste of the food is what you would expect from a hotel banquet room. This center has a busy calendar of exercise classes and information on health, housing and finances. This is something for everyone!

A huge shoutout to their in-house caterer, Critics Choice Catering--they did not disappoint. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the appetizers and dinner, and there was more than enough food for everyone. We received so many compliments on the menu, and our guests left full and happy. A special thank you to Kaycie, who went above and beyond to make sure everything came together perfectly. We truly couldn't have asked for a better venue and team to help bring our wedding day to life. Highly recommend!

However, after reflecting on the entire planning process, I feel future couples deserve transparency before making such a large investment. To start with the positives: the venue itself created a beautiful atmosphere for our wedding, Critic's Choice Catering was loved by our guests, and several setup details, including the welcome table and cake tables, were set up as planned. Many guests complimented the food throughout the evening. Unfortunately, the planning process behind the scenes was extremely stressful and, at times, disappointing due to repeated communication issues, inconsistencies, and preventable mistakes. From the beginning, Kaycie (the founder and coordinator) sold us on the venue by emphasizing that it was "all-inclusive" and offered things other venues did not. During our initial meetings, I specifically asked for an overall quote that included a dinner package so we could determine whether the venue fit within our budget. I trusted her expertise and guidance when she provided us with pricing, and because it fell within our budget, we decided to move forward. Several months later, we discovered that we had actually been quoted for an appetizer package rather than a dinner package. Kaycie stated that we had mentioned possibly bringing in our own catering company, but that was simply a question we asked while exploring options. It was never confirmed that we would be using outside catering. The difference in pricing was substantial, and we felt misled. When we raised our concerns, we were told that we should have noticed the pricing difference and asked more questions before submitting our deposit. As first-time wedding planners, we relied on the expertise we were paying for and expected accurate information from the start. Another concern involved what was actually included with the venue. During our tour, Kaycie proudly showed us a large book of linen options and explained that they offered far more choices than other venues we had visited. Later, we learned that glassware, china, silverware, tables, chairs, linens, and other essentials were not included as we had believed. As people who had never planned a wedding before, we did not know these items would need to be rented separately. We often felt like information presented in person did not align with information later provided through email. For larger weddings, I would strongly encourage couples to get every detail in writing and verify exactly what is and is not included. At one point, we were told, "We have no control over how you read and interpret our literature." As clients relying on the venue's expertise and documentation, that response felt dismissive rather than helpful. One of the biggest disappointments was the seating chart. Kaycie sent me another bride's seating chart as a template and instructed me to follow that format. I did exactly that and even asked her to review it beforehand to make sure everything looked correct. She confirmed it was fine. On the wedding day, however, families were split apart, couples were separated, parents were seated at different tables, and children were not seated with their families. We later learned that she had told some of our guests she could not fully read the chart. Had that concern been communicated beforehand, I would have gladly clarified it or come in myself to ensure it was set up correctly. Instead, one of the most important organizational pieces of the reception was mishandled despite us paying for coordination services and setup assistance. There was also a serious issue involving one of the bartenders, who we later learned was terminated. Multiple guests informed us that he refused to serve drinks unless they tipped him, despite the fact that we paid for bartending services and supplied all of the alcohol ourselves. Guests reported feeling pressured to tip, and one guest was even told, "I have rent to pay," before being asked to send money directly to him. Another guest was left in tears after an uncomfortable interaction. We were also told he attempted to charge for premium tequila shots using tequila that we had personally provided. Several guests commented that drinks were inconsistent and tasted different throughout the evening. I do want to recognize Brendon, the operations manager, who was kind, professional, and genuinely apologetic. He listened to our concerns, acknowledged that these issues should not have happened, and took accountability for the areas where they fell short. His response was the first time we truly felt heard during this process. I understand that no wedding is perfect and that unexpected issues can arise. However, communication, accountability, and professionalism are critical when couples are investing significant time, trust, and money into one of the most important days of their lives.

This is my second time here and the people here are all so nice. On Monday nights they have tacos for $2.00 (beef, pork or chicken, hard or soft shell with all the fixings) only from 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM. We missed it this Monday (crying face). Lol There's a HUGE MOOSE HEAD as soon as u walk in. Right under that there's a special POW table set up with a place setting (plate, utensils, salt/pepper shaker, flags, a vase with a single red rose in it and a sign on a propped-up chair saying (Saving the seat because it's taken with a POW chair sleeve.) I love that!!! Everyone here has always been so nice. We come here because the Mr. plays in a pool league and I think this is their home base. I sit at one of the many neatly arranged and clean round tables in the back room. I get to watch the Mr. shoot pool, and I get to watch the ladies line dance on the nights he plays there. They also are very welcoming asking me to join in, but I have 2 left feet so, I will just cheer them on. This week we came in and Joann was working behind the bar; she is so welcoming and wonderful. They definitely have the kindest bartenders here. We will be back next Monday, unless they play somewhere else.

That is custom, that is tradition and for most it meant to inject fun into life. In my opinion, what maximizes the fun is when a person quips or puns using their custom as fodder for the joke. For instance, on one Halloween. I called my insurance and the person on the phone told me that she was dressed as cat. At the end of the conversation, I was meant to rate her and I said do not worry your service was "purrr-fect." How long have you been waiting to say that joke? She replied. Since the moment she told me she was cat. So when I played and partied with sailors and marines I expected for similar jokes to be made since, in a way, they were in uniform/customs. Like when, me and another civilian played pool with two Sailors they introduced themselves as Diane and Scott, not Officer Sampson and Officer Aguilera. Then we just played a regular game of pool. They did not say things like, prepare for the onslaught of seafaring sailors. So I did not get a chance to say I will sink your battleship as I perfectly aligned my eight ball to a corner pocket. Basically, they were civilians in uniform they were not sailors playing pool. Makes sense, they were sailors on leave so their sea related puns must have stayed on board their ship. Regardless, the party experience with sailors and marines was fire in the hole. And this bar is one of the central places where the sailor party can be felt because San Pedro welcomes them once a year during Fleet Week. It is common sense but Sailors and Marines spend their time locked up, in a ship, or in base, or somewhere else. So when they step to land, the goal must be clear: party with restrained abandon. And this hope encompasses all around, so it is hard to not become a party animal. Imagine that they are the moon, and all around are party-wolves. When they rise, so do the party time howls. I can see this bar becoming a draw for partiers for a weekend. Some people may never come to Crimsin for their cocktails but I hope they come here for the sailors and marines. During this past Fleet Week, I bought a beer for a Marine named Thomas. He also did not say my name is Hightower or Olson or MacDonald when I asked for his name. He still accepted the beer and said thank you for the support. So I may not march in a parade supporting Marines, but still Thomas made me feel like paying for a Marine's drink was showing support for the freedoms that the armed warriors of this country provide. Yes, I know I did not run the SSO but still I was thanked for my support for a Marine. In the grand scheme of things, I accept his gratitude and trust that he meant his words. On a previous Fleet Week, me and a sailor both ordered from a bartender. The bartender ignored me and tended to the sailor. Makes sense, he was the guest of honor. And the sailor treated my drink too. Mad respect. And I hope it is the high seas that taught him to show respect to another for not all wars are won with missiles and bayonets. So the moment not only affords the right to party but it also affords the right to witness the evolution of military culture and how it has arrived to hold people with good values, a good heart, and compassion in their actions.

My husband and I decided to take a staycation in the lovely city of San Pedro being that it is a…read morescorching hot weekend and we'd much rather run up in hotel air-conditioning build our own home and plus I get to go swimming soon as we walked in we were greeted carded and we sit directly at the bar so the bartender was very attentive. He even had a very nice tequila that my husband and I have been enjoying called Lalo and made us two mixed drinks of course because I like to be thirsty to drink my cocktails I asked they had snacks and he offered me bar chips which were basically bagged kettle chips. I got barbecue pretty tasty and kept me thirsty. They have an amazing sound system and they have TouchTunes so that you can be the Dj in the bar. I played a couple tunes drank my drinks and then we skedaddle back to our hotel room overall wonderful experience at Crimson.

On a couple of different occasions, my family and I were treated to awesome live music by this band, Mixed Generations and food. Last summer, my nephews and I enjoyed music, hot dogs, chips, churros, and sodas. This most recent occasion, the hubby and I had chips, guac, beef and chicken tacos. All made with love as everything was tasty. From the bar I chose to get a ginger ale. The facility is capable of holding small to large events depending on which room of the lodge. The lodge is clean. The stage and lounge area is decorated in Hawaiian decor. Lastly, the Elks members are kind. Just lovely people. 4 stars.
