Ok so this may seem a bit unfair because there isn't another store that sells this much fabric,…read morebut, I'm rating this visit based on my daughter's happiness. First things first, this store is located in the VERY BACK of Pearlridge industrial warehouses. If you know where the dealership & GOODWILL in Pearl city is... THEN YOU'LL FIND IT! Because it's IN THE BACK THERE! You CANT MISS IT! It's next to where the old JELLY'S was. There is a lot of open parking. Restrooms, I'm not sure where or if they have one in that area opened to the public. Prices range anywhere from $2.00 to as high as $50.00 PER YARD. Depends on what type you want or looking for and if you want it by the yards or remnants. I don't know what else to say about this place other than ITS A MUST WHEN NEEDING FABRIC! But... as mentioned earlier... this post is gonna be based off my daughter's experience and outcome. I must say... they DID NOT disappoint! She had a sewing project done for school and IM SUPER PROUD OF HOW WELL SHE DID! Both her dad and I! So as you all know... they have PRETTY MUCH EVERY TYPE, COLOR, STYLE, THEME OR PATTERN OF MATERIALS, right!? So I expected her to take forever on choosing a material. But she found it in half hour and the rest was DUCK SOUP! They also had the very same color thread that matched perfectly with her fabric she chose. So that was AWESOME! AND it was the style she needed too! I didn't realize the threads were all different! Lol! ANYWHO... the teacher told them to get about 1-1/2 yards of fabric & DID state they shouldn't buy anything more than $3.00. But of course my husband had to give his princess whatever she wanted. Which wasn't much. We got her a little extra on the fabric just incase she needed it. But her final product was so BEAUTIFUL... I wish our small sewing machine worked. She wanted to make more for Christmas and pass them out or sell them at the Christmas fair. But it's ok. We'll manage. However, take a look at her project. (SEE PHOTOS) She chose a light sun yellow color fabric with local Hawaii pictures on them. The reason why she chose that specific fabric was because she wanted the HAWAIIAN FLAG that was in there. There were other nice colored fabrics with different designs too! But that was her reason for this one! If you do shop here and you don't know exactly what you're looking for, expect to stay for more than an hour. It's so HARDZ TO CHOOSE!!! If it could, I would live in here and make everything and anything! LOL!!! But they didn't have a few things on the list BUT luckily, we had it at home. I made her a ziplock bag with everything labeled and placed well in the bag. I also told her to make sure she keeps it that way so she's organized and she doesn't lose anything. She did exactly what was told and she was the 2nd or 3rd student to finish her project. This was out of ALL PERIODS too! Her teacher was amazed with her work! She asked if she could do another, but because their quarter was ending. The teacher told them no, because they're putting the machine back into storage til next years class. But I'm proud of her for making her drawstring pouch and her total bag. And it's ALL THANKS TO FABRIC MART! Okie dokes thank you for looking and have a good one guys! A hui hou MALAMA PONO ALOHA!

I stumbled upon Fabric Mart near Pearlridge Center last week when we cleaned up for the New Year and dropped off donations nearby. So, I decided to check it out today. First of all, it's a HUGE space with fabrics galore!!! Lots of local, Hawaiian print material. Wall full of fancy, frilly ones. And even, solid choices of fabric for curtains and furniture! Also, they sell gorgeous 100% silk options! This place definitely could be an inspo to stir up creativity we need from time to time. Also, they sell accessories that usually come with sewing projects including patterns and zippers. Unfortunately, I did not see any sewing machines. Nor, do they offer sewing classes. This shop is not visible from the main road. Mosey on towards the back line-up of businesses including a gymnastic's school and an Asian home furnishings store. There is ample, free parking. I thought the staff working was not very friendly. Probably due to not in work mode because it's right after the long holidays. I recommend here if you are wanting a wide selection of fabric for your next craft project.

I don't have this back home" and in goes the item in my cart. What brought me in today tho, was to support one of the local small businesses that rents a "locker" inside the store. I absolutely love this concept. Ben Franklin has created a space where local makers can showcase and sell their work, giving shoppers the chance to support dozens of independent businesses all under one roof. Honestly, if money were no object, I'd probably leave with something from every locker. The variety is incredible, and it's fun seeing all the creativity from local artisans. Whether you're a serious crafter, looking for a unique gift, or just enjoy browsing, this place is sooo dangerous... in the best way possible. It's basically a crafter's candy store, and I look forward to getting lost here every time.

A wide selection of colors, however, a few of the popular colors and flowers were out of stock. The beads are light weight, flexible, and the stems may be easily cut shorter. I was happily surprised that it did not feel rough or abrasive against material or the human skin. Great for simple DIY craft projects. My first project was to create a forever lei bag charm. The flower beads are reasonably priced and affordable for crafting projects. Service was okay lol. The cashier could have shown a little more interest. No smile or thank you for coming today. Maybe it was an off day for her. Other employees were nice and helpful in finding the beads. Overall a 4.5 star experience. Rounded up to 5 stars.

Born and raised in Honolulu and now living in the bay, I want to create diaper cakes using Hawaiian print materials to give them an aloha vibe. I created a list of fabric stores to visit, but ended up just checking this place out since it was in Kalihi, not far from where my mom lives, and I didn't feel like being in the crazy Oahu traffic to get to the other shops. Located in a warehouse off N. King Street in Kalihi, it wasn't very hard to find, and parking can be limited in front of the warehouse or street parking. When my mom and I walked in, we were amazed at the vast amount of material this place carries. A lot of Hawaiian print, Palaka, Japanese, Tahitian, and those cute Kawaii patterns (see my pics) to name a few. We received great customer service considering how busy they were. Daniel was pleasant and very helpful. Prices were reasonable, the prints I got were from $5/yd. They mainly carry rolls of material, some ribbon, and a few sewing accessories at the checkout counter. Daniel recommended I check out their Instagram for any new print drops, and they ship! Off 1 star for organization. There are some beautiful prints hiding under several rolls of fabric.

I've been a Vintage Mu'u collector for 10-15+ years and I was super excited to see their selection of Vintage Mu'u! I took a Lyft to get to South Street from Ala Moana and I was dropped off across the street so I was a bit disoriented at first lol. I had to make sure I was walking in the right direction since there wasn't a big flashy sign. I love the humble lit up sign that said "Alterations" in the window and once I saw a mannequin in window dressed with beautiful Vintage Mu'u, I knew I hit the vintage jackpot lol! It was an adorable store with vintage Knick knacks, accessories, jewelry in glass cases, an alteration station with fabric as you walk through the door, then another section filled with racks of Vintage Mu'u of every size, along with Tops, Palaka Shorts and I also noticed some Outerwear too. I was so excited that I hit the ground running and checked out every rack with my size and collected a good 8-10 or so Mu'u to try on. (I mean I am from Maui so I can't frequent this place much lol!) There were 2 humble dressing rooms with a small basket in the corner for your shoes and belongings. I loved the selection and most of all: the prices. They had vintage 80's-90's to maybe 60's-70's. I did see some rare vintage priced at $150-200+ but for the most part, reasonably priced for carefully curated vintage. I found 3 Mu'u at the end of my Vintage Haul. I scored a Black and Red Manuheali'i Dress (which aunty said everyone adored when it came in so that was definitely a score!) for $110 and 2 other Mu'u's, one was a Made in Hawaii with front bib detail in a cream color for maybe $40 and another Blue Andrade Mu'u for $45. This was definitely worth coming down from Maui. I will definitely be back on my next Oahu trip! The Aunty Owner and her daughter were the sweetest!
