Honestly, this is refreshing as corporations understaff and stress their employees. This local owner know what we the patrons want, we want people who are happy with their jobs and that's done by great staffing. This is my go to for any gift. Yes, you're paying more for a book than you would on Amazon but this is the opposite of a greedy corporation who screws everyone. This is truly local and I'm lucky to live 20 mins away.

The selection feels endless. Every genre, every niche, and then, just when you think you've seen it all, there's a wall of Blu-rays, DVDs, video games, board games, and random bits of memorabilia you didn't know you wanted until they're already in your basket. The prices are almost insulting to other stores. Seriously, I've paid more for a cup of coffee than I have for some of the books here. You'd almost feel guilty... except you don't, because you're too busy carrying out a stack taller than your torso. The staff is excellent -- actually helpful, not the fake "let me know if you need anything" kind. They've tracked down what I came in looking for, and then somehow convinced me to walk out with three more titles I didn't even know existed. My shelves at home are groaning under the weight of their recommendations, but sure, suggest me another series. Why not. I've been a regular for about a year now, and as long as I live in Massachusetts, this will be one of the few places I actually look forward to throwing money at. You never know what you'll find here, which is exactly why I keep coming back.

There are more children's books overall but they do carry toys, trinkets, cards, crafts, historical books and more. The woman working the front was super sweet and the lady behind the cafe counter was too, their service was welcoming. As far as value I'd rather support local than the big store. Their prices are the norm but yes you can find majority of these books at big retailers for less. They both also gave a military discount even though I don't believe that is the norm for them but much appreciated. Overall great experience.

Blue Bunny Books is easily one of my favorite locations to walk to and hang out. They really have something for everyone here. My boyfriend, who is more of a tea than a coffee person, hasn't found any complaints when trying their drinks (and he may be as much of a drink critic as I am). If you have kids, Blue Bunny also does creative and fun events to engage and involve your little ones in some much-needed book-themed fun. With our family expecting our first baby, we're beyond thrilled to bring her over to Blue Bunny's events, no matter how old she is. Blue Bunny is such a staple to the Dedham community, and I will always enjoy going back for some yummy coffees and good books.

There's a book club once a month. The owner is a funny lady and the best laid back professional you could encounter. My son grabbed some Harry Potter books. I donated some old books.
