In this age of Kindles and Nooks it is so hard to find a book you are looking for locally. My husband wanted a few books that were about the local area and didn't have time to wait for Amazon delivery. I tried a book store in my area with no luck and while in the Raynham area did another search and found Annie's Book Stop. I figured it was worth a look. Annie's sells both new and used books. The store itself is relatively small and a large portion of it is dedicated to childrens books. It wasn't clearly labeled what area was new and what area was used books and I also didn't see obvious pricing for the used books. Now I was in a rush so maybe somehow I just missed it. After checking out I realized used books are 50% off the cover price. They will also order books for you. A gentleman came in to pick up the books he ordered while I was there, but there seemed to have been a mixup with it. The woman at the counter was friendly and the amazing thing is they had all three books my husband wanted. If you are looking for some books and in the area, it is worth a stop.

It is awesome they are having a local sports author do a book signing at this store on June 2nd. Just in time for Father's Day.

I always drive past this place on my way home from the Wrentham Outlets. I finally got around to…read moregoing inside. My friend and I went on a weekday night, about 2 hours before closing so it was pretty quiet. I initially thought the bookstore was only on the first floor of the building but turns out it's a multi-story experience. There is a parking lot at the back where I parked and I was able to enter through the back door (not sure if this is the main entrance). On the first floor, they have some books, bathrooms, a check out desk, nick nacks (hats, stationery, puzzles, etc.), and most importantly, a coffee shop. The coffee shop was closing up around the time we got there so plan accordingly and do some research on their hours. as they are not the same as the bookstore. The books are clearly labeled by genre. After taking a stroll, we decided to check out the second floor which was supposed to have a little market, a stage where they host events, and some very comfortable couches along with tables and chairs. I mostly came to see if a book spoke to me, but also to get some reading in from the book I brought along with me. The lighting is good, although I sometimes prefer to have a dimmer setting for a cozier feel. We spent about 1.25 hours here, but we could have easily spent a longer time if it weren't so close to closing.

I can not express to you how kind, compassionate, and happy the workers are here. There's always…read morelike 20 people working and every single person from the books to the kitchen staff is happy and cheerful and so kind. Honestly, this is refreshing as corporations understaff and stress their employees. This local owner know what we the patrons want, we want people who are happy with their jobs and that's done by great staffing. This is my go to for any gift. Yes, you're paying more for a book than you would on Amazon but this is the opposite of a greedy corporation who screws everyone. This is truly local and I'm lucky to live 20 mins away.

This book store was highly disapointing. I was expecting a nice and cozy bookshop where you can…read morefind the latest and greatest titles. I was definently wrong. Pretty much the most bad thing about it was the selection. The whole place was a messed-up paperback fantasy. All the covers of the used old books were torn and beaten up. The newest thing I saw in there was at least four years old. The shop itself located right on the sidewalk looked like a person's basement. The white eggshell paint was annyoing, and it is as small as a Wal-Mart bathroom. Another bad thing was that the prices for these old books were astonashingly high. The average price was about four dollars. Four dollas for a piece of crap novel that was probably written by a dried up ex- 80's sitcom star. And not the good 80's sitcoms, I mean like Charles In Charge bad.(I think I just might have gone a little overboard;i'm sorry Scott Baio!!) They also only give you about 75 cents in store credit no matter how new or in good shape it is in. The one nice thing I can say about is that it is a gem for people looking for paperback novels from earlier decades

Well the previous reviewer obviously missed reading the sign.. It's called twice upon a time for a…read morereason. I went in EXPECTING to see a selection of used books. There is limited space which is why there are limited hard backs. I found the owner extremely helpful and she helped me pick out a couple of great summer reads. The books are neatly tended to. I was also impressed she had the local summer reading lists from the schools for the students in the area and kept them in stock. I dont mind paying a few bucks for a good book. It's worth it to keep small businesses alive.
