I wandered around for hours, reading and enjoying some of the artwork in the small gallery while having a few cocktails. Service was okay and the bartenders were kind. The drinks they made were fine and some were very good, but one of the more memorable cocktails was the Manhattan Transfer, which was very strong and pleasant. I also liked The Hive. It was light, citrusy and just simple. My friends and I were surprised that everything was so reasonably priced that we ended up trying all the cocktails on the menu and a few local beers. My friend and I went on a weekday night, about 2 hours before closing so it was pretty quiet. I initially thought the bookstore was only on the first floor of the building but turns out it's a multi-story experience. There is a parking lot at the back where I parked and I was able to enter through the back door (not sure if this is the main entrance). On the first floor, they have some books, bathrooms, a check out desk, nick nacks (hats, stationery, puzzles, etc.), and most importantly, a coffee shop. The coffee shop was closing up around the time we got there so plan accordingly and do some research on their hours. as they are not the same as the bookstore. The books are clearly labeled by genre. After taking a stroll, we decided to check out the second floor which was supposed to have a little market, a stage where they host events, and some very comfortable couches along with tables and chairs. I mostly came to see if a book spoke to me, but also to get some reading in from the book I brought along with me. The lighting is good, although I sometimes prefer to have a dimmer setting for a cozier feel. We spent about 1.25 hours here, but we could have easily spent a longer time if it weren't so close to closing.

Honestly, this is refreshing as corporations understaff and stress their employees. This local owner know what we the patrons want, we want people who are happy with their jobs and that's done by great staffing. This is my go to for any gift. Yes, you're paying more for a book than you would on Amazon but this is the opposite of a greedy corporation who screws everyone. This is truly local and I'm lucky to live 20 mins away.

The staff at this location is excellent. Everyone I've dealt with is kind and helpful. They all seem to genuinely love books and helping those of us who still love to purchase books. If they don't have what I'm looking for in stock, they'll do what they can to find what I need. This branch also loves to do a lot of community activities. A lot of the staff are Harry Potter fans, as they decorate it a lot with Potter decor and fun. I know coming soon their hosting their own version of the "Yule Ball". I hope to attend myself! They do a lot of fun events like this, for kids and adult. I think it's such a great way to get people more involved in the book store. They don't all involve Harry Potter, but being a Potter fan myself, those events in particular make it awesome. If you're looking for a book store in the area, definitely check out this location!
