When it comes to pizza in St Mary's County, there's Slice House and then there's everywhere else. The food is great, the service is excellent every time and the vibe is super chill. Management is VERY on point here and they have cultivated a friendly, neighborhood vibe that WORKS through and through. With weekly change ups and a nice side bar, this is pretty much the only place I'm stopping in to get a slice. I am not aware of Southern Maryland as a destination for good pizza, but this is a cheese slice that I would have been happy with in New York. Delightfully floppy with a light dusting of what I think was cornmeal, the slice was robustly flavored in every respect. I ended up with two slices of that because they didn't have much else for me; the beverage options didn't blow me away and they don't really do salads or appetizers and none of their other pizzas by the slice were veggie. And no way could I eat a whole pizza from here in one sitting. The limitations were substantial, but the quality was unmistakable. Cute spot with great thin crust NY style pizza. Half is a pizza shop with slices available, half is a bar. You can bring the pizza into the bar and the drinks into the pizza shop. Two big TVs. We got two full pizzas for five adults and a child and took home a few slices! Lots of condiments to put on top. Pizza is pricey compared to chains but it's what you'll pay for a quality pizza anywhere these days. read more

This is a wonderful place for fresh baked thin style pizzas cooked in a hot pizza oven. They come out smokey, with just enough char. Toppings are varied and excellent. Good service at the Walk up counter where you order and they deliver it to you hot from the oven. There is an adjacent beer pub connected internally. Great family place and good for groups. The SLICE HOUSE is a slice of perfection. A really cool nook with great thin slice pizzas. They managed to impress two die hard pizza lovers from NY. The staff was cool, friendly and knowledgeable. There really was a great draft beer list, and some fun bottles and cans (clap yo hands). I had the chicken cilantro pizza, and my friend had the pepperoni, both reported as fantastic. They also have the most diverse craft beer selection in the County by far, and the bartenders are extremely knowledgeable on the selection. We come to slice house frequently and honestly I'm ashamed that I've never taken the time to take photos and write the review that they deserve. This place is phenomenal. You can catch a podcast about them by Rob Schou on Living in Southern Maryland. The work they put into this place transcends into the product they put out. Their pizza is absolutely incredible. Light but filling, perfectly crisp with just a hint of enough grease to make it pizza but nothing to take it over the edge. Rotating specials keep it interesting. I do wish they included a weekly vegetarian special because I do get a little bored of the cheese but the other specials are sure to satisfy everyone. I was unsure that I would like the new location but the wrap around bar provides a wonderful way to interact with the staff and other patrons. They have the best beer selection IMO that features brews from all over the country. Judy is the absolute best. She has an incredible mind and I'm always surprised she can remember what beer we had last, and always makes it a point to welcome us like we are good friends. She has always made us feel very special and we know she does the same for everyone. Also he sure to check out their custom hot sauces. We love Slice House! read more

So used to frequent this place in its old location and always thought very highly of it. I was down that way a cpl weeks ago and got to try the outfront location on the Main Street of LTown. Went in, ordered the special slice and one pepperoni slice that I asked for extra cheese. I was promptly told that I couldn't have extra cheese because someone left a bad review because the cheese wasn't melted enough. So NO ONE will get extra cheese from now on. This made about as much sense as, well, you get the picture. And the lady taking my order was very adamant about it. It's a shame when I'd like to pay extra for something I'd like to have, and I'm told nope, sorry bout your luck. This review is solely on a single plain cheese slice of pizza on a recent 2023 day. I have had pizza all around the world, including several cities in Italy. The single plain cheese slice from the slice house reminds me of of the old 99 cent slice places that litter New York City. That's not a bad thing! The crust is thin and yeasty, the sauce savory and not too sweet, and the cheese a mostly-mozzarella blend with a little semolina on the bottom. It maybe could've used a tad more sauce but over all this is the best cheese slice in the county - yes better then Ledos and Nicolettis. With that said, the Suprema uses the same cast of characters and falls flat - literally - because the thin crust simply can't hold up the three veggies and three meats that get loaded onto each slice. With a full bar, it feels like this place should be packed and popular, especially in a pizza desert like St Mary's County. Inside reminds me of the pizza joints I grew up with in New Jersey - nothing fancy but very homey. Outside though is terrible - eating on a gravel pit flanked by fence and tarp is NOT fun. Being born and raised in NY, I was pleasantly surprised to find a shop in MD that scratches the same itch I needed with a good slice of pizza. My fiancé and I were not surprised to see the person who owns the place is Italian. Good crust thickness, good sauce, and just the right amount of cheese. I just wish a whole pie wasn't so expensive, but gotta support our local mom and pop shops anyway y'know? We both decide to just drop in for individual slices here and there when walking around the Leonardtown square. The cilantro chicken pizza is good, and my fiancé loves a simple pepperoni. Fantastic place to grab a quick slice. Their weekly specials are always worth checking out. Some of my favorite pizza has come from their inventive specials, specifically the bratwurst pizza and the Monte Cristo. Their staff is super friendly and attentive - including the owner. The only pizza I don't love here is their pepperoni (which would normally be a deal breaker). The pepperonis themselves are small and thin, and just don't bring enough flavor to the slice. If you're looking for a change of pizza maybe this is your place. We visited this location that was recommended by a friend and didn't know exactly what to expect. The building was easy to find and the parking lot and restaurant appeared to be clean. The staff was friendly and patiently waited for us to decide on our slices as we looked at their daily line up. I had a slice of the Reuben pizza which was surprisingly balanced well for a pizza flavor. The other slices were as you would expect for pizza. If you're looking for a custom pizza or custom slices, this may not be your place. My dad wanted to customize his slices but basically was told what you see is what you get. Expect to drop $ for the experience. It's a nice place to chill and have a bite or drink but I wouldn't make the drive unless they had a odd pizza flavor that sounds interesting. read more

Great addition to Leonardtown. We've been lacking a really great pizza place in the area, and the Slice House is the answer. The by-the-slice pricing makes it a great deal, and the selection of salads by the cash register leaves room for healthy options. The bar area is nicely set up with plenty of beers on tap. Nice addition to Leonardtown. Came in late afternoon to a small crowd inside eating. Was able to order a slice and a beer and had both within five minutes. Employees were friendly and helpful, music was good -- overall the environment was very nice. Got a classic slice of cheese and will say it is the best pizza I've had in SoMD so far. Won't say it keeps up with some of the classic spots in the District and NoVA, but I do think they will own the market down here. Crust had the perfect amount of crunch, sauce was seasoned well, and there was ample cheese. They also get creative with some of their pies, and today was featuring a honey sirracha chicken pizza that looked amazing. Beer selection is great for a smaller restaurant. Eight taps, few locals, but a diverse selection. Also a decent bottle and can selection. The restaurant itself is sort of out of the way towards the back of the Square, but worth the walk or drive. Parking is a little crowded, so once this place really blows up, I'd suggest walking. Overall, will definitely be back. read more

So their Facebook page says they have two locations and we called because apparently the location nearest us no longer exists, we call and ask for the address and the very rude person who answered the phone puts the phone down and we overhear her say "I have to google this address for this lady, she's fucking nuts" Manager be aware this was about 5:30 pm on Dec. 16. I mean what do you say to that, Facebook page is wrong , what kind of chicken head doesn't know the address of the place they work. If your going to be nasty, hit the mute button.
