Best Western Plus Casa Grande Inn & Suites - Exterior

Best Western Plus Casa Grande Inn & Suites

I stayed here for one night about a week ago and it was ok. This hotel is by far the most expensive…read morein the area and more expensive than most Best Westerns I've been to because it's a "Plus." The one night cost me $265 after taxes and I booked a double queen room because that was the only option available at the time I made my reservation about six weeks ago. Single bed rooms have marginally lower rates and are around $230-250 per night after taxes. There are other hotels on this street with lower rates but the only reason I stayed at this hotel is because I needed one more credit to get bumped up to the next rewards level with Best Western. The Best Western "Plus" hotels are marketed as a higher tier and I'm sure some of them are, but most of the Plus hotels I've stayed at are pretty much the same as a standard Best Western (including this one) and in a couple of cases, worse than the standard. There are drinks and snacks available for purchase at the front desk but the employee at the front desk said I could grab a couple bottles of water. Breakfast is served from 6am-9am on weekdays and 7am-10am on weekends. Thy have the typical options like sausage patties, eggs, diced potatoes, cereal, fruit, granola, waffles (you have to make them yourself), bagels, toast, and a special mix of scrambled eggs with cheese, sausage links, green onions, and jalapenos. The food tasted alright but the hot items were a little undercooked. The employees are nice and offered to get me something else if I needed anything. I was here for less than 12 hours because I got in really late and had to leave really early the following morning. I might stay here again, but only if I can't get a room at one of the other (cheaper) hotels nearby.

Third stay here in a couple of months and just as consistently excellent as ever. Since I went…read moreinto so much detail in the previous two reviews, I'll keep this one brief: OUTSTANDING service across the board - front desk, housekeeping, food/beverage Comfortable and CLEAN room Excellent and safe location Just not gonna stay anywhere else in CG! ___________________________________ This is an update - Well, here we are a couple of weeks after our first stay at Best Western Plus Casa Grande Inn & Suites and having a great time again. You just cannot beat the level of service here. We're treated SO well. Welcomed warmly, listened to, accommodated, it's all great. Not even just the front desk staff (Pam and Elizabeth, the manager, are totally awesome), but seriously every single staff member I interacted with was helpful and welcoming. This time in a suite instead of standard king. Great room. Really spacious. CLEAN and fresh. Great location. Safe. Easy parking and easy access (low curb for luggage, wide doors, etc.). Good breakfast buffet - plenty of selection including gluten-free options, not only pretty good food but good coffee and not only do they offer decaf, but it's GOOD decaf. And that's just the coffee in the breakfast room - there's a cool espresso machine in the lobby/dining area. Great water pressure again, good A/C, plenty of USB outlets, a nice couch and second television in the suite. I just don't see staying anywhere else in Casa Grande. And we won't. We'll continue returning here. ___________________________________ We've barely been here 24 hours but there already quite a few things we love about this Best Western Plus Casa Grande Inn & Suites. I gotta start out by highlighting the amazing, outstanding service. I had to call a few days ahead of time to clarify a detail, and I'm pretty sure - in retrospect, having now met her in person, that it was Pam who handled my call, because she was pleasant and personable. Plus I called ahead the day of check-in to see if we could check in a little early and she accommodated the request cheerfully, and she turned out to be the one who checked us in. She was warm and welcoming, and the check-in experience was flawless. And I had several interactions with her after check in, each one pleasant and helpful. But even housekeeping (you heard me - yes, housekeeping, and we're only here for two nights) staff were friendly and helpful. I returned to the room to find housekeeping finishing up the room, no big deal, so I went downstairs to hang out in the lobby and planned to go back up in 10-15 minutes to see if the room was finished. Not FIVE minutes later, Pam comes over to let me know that the room was ready. Housekeeper called her to let her know, and she let ME know, in turn. WOW! Who does that? That is knock-your-socks-off service! Now, the details. - Hotel overall and the room itself are clean and even fresh-smelling. - USB outlets at the bedside and one on the work desk - strong WiFi - Free parking - Great location (not only central but nicer area that feels safe) - Complimentary breakfast - Cool espresso machine in the lobby - Spacious room - Excellent water pressure in the shower (and sink) - Not only a microwave, but a virtually full size refrigerator - MUCH bigger than the standard mini-fridge. And colder. You can comfortably store food/leftovers and beverages in it. - Cool window blinds - Air conditioning worked really well Areas for improvement - just one for me, and this is personal preference; the mattress was a little soft for me, and the pillows a little small, so the mattress slid out away from the headboard as I sat up to watch TV a couple of times. Not the end of the world, but a minor inconvenience. We will absolutely stay here again when visiting Casa Grande.

You get what you pay for and this place is good enough, not more or less. At $100 even (after…read moretaxes) for a room without a pet, it's not super-affordable, but it's much more reasonable than the literal hundreds some Tucson hotels are charging right now during the Gem Show. The elderly man receptionist is a little dry, but is courteous and helpful enough. Inside the room, there are various signs of disrepair and cracks/patches in the walls. Whatever. The bathtub/shower faucet is tricky and the first gush of water comes out brown from rust, but soon enough it is clear. What do you expect; it's the middle of the desert. The bathtub water never really heats up but the shower water comes out as hot as you want; it's hard to understand how flipping one little switch affects this, but it does. The giant-screen flatscreen TV is likewise finicky and many of the cable networks it is "subscribed" to don't seem to have reception, but who cares, I was there to sleep, not watch junk. The heater works, and does so right away, but on high setting, the fan is just too noisy for you to be able to sleep (or talk to someone, or understand the TV, or keep your sanity). There is a microwave and coffee machine and fridge, all of which look to be in fair shape, which (assuming they work--I did not try them) would actually make this a pretty decent value for a Ben Franklin. All in all, no severe complaints. I have had much worse in the greater Tucson area in "cheap" rooms.

Rooms was clean. Beds were comfortable. Staff was friendly. I would stay here again. Great value…read morefor the price!

The dining areas was decorated with twinkling table lights, and the staff were in festive attire, keeping things warm and welcoming despite the busy crowd, maybe 150. The buffet was a classic spread with something for everyone. Highlights included: * Carving stations with roasted prime rib and pork tenderloin. * Seafood options like chilled shrimp cocktail and salmon. * Sides galore: roasted red potatoes, rice, roasted veggies, green bean casserole, and fresh salads. * A dedicated dessert table loaded with pies and cookies was a definite hit. Stations were well-stocked. The quality was solid fare. Everything was fresh and good, though not Michelin-star gourmet. A few items (like the overcooked Brussels sprouts) were hit-or-miss, but overall satisfying. Service was attentive and friendly; servers kept water glasses filled. It was priced around what you would expect for a holiday special ($65.00 each) worth it for the convenience and no cleanup afterward. Reservations filled up fast, so book early next year! Overall, it was a relaxing way to spend Christmas without the stress of hosting. Plenty Parking is good but due to the number of people had a bit of a walk, but it was a nice day so worked out well,

The things i've seen in this hotel is vile i felt dehumanized just walking into this monstrosity of a room. Super rude, didn't fix the issue didn't refund me didn't move me to another room. NOTHING. they did NOTHING. couldn't understand what they were saying no americans working there. Like a tiny vortex of abuse and neglect there was almost no surface that hadn't been mistreated. The door- Delaminating on the back side. Didn't meet the doorjam, even when the door was locked. And with a giant repair on the front side where someone may have punched a hole in it. The wall- Flagrantly large, repaired but not repainted hole just above the toilet paper roller. The shower- A generous, crumbling, pooly repaired hole. And the perfect location for the entrprising Peeping Tom/slalker/weirdo to place a discreet video camera. The ceiling- Who doesn't appreciate a little, festive dollop of blue green toothpaste on their ceiling. C'mon. It was gross. I'm not sure what else is available in town but you may want to look eslsewhere. $85 one night 4 people
