Like Terri B. and other reviewers, I was a little bemused by the staff, but in fairness, I think we just had a language barrier breakdown, and I must have been particularly Scottish that day. Nonetheless, we were given a toy car and a table, so it all worked out OK in the end. We were starving late afternoon on a Sunday, and it looked like the menu was an all day brunch menu which means eggs eggs eggs... and cheese on toast, french style. Eggs do nothing for me or my dodgy guts, and I couldn't face cheese or breakfast on top of breakfast, so I opted for a salad. The calorie counting SR opted for the lightest option on the menu he could find, which our server kindly helped him out with. I also ordered some sourdough as I was STARVING. Mighty glad I did, not because the salad wasn't substantial (feta and roasted sweet potato, all caramel and good, and light on oil), but because it turned out to be firebreathing all singing all dancing garlic sourdough baguette and utterly fantastic. Needless to say, I enjoyed my lunch, although the SR was less swayed by his eggs, although they looked nice enough. So, would I go back again? Yes, but the serving is definitely on the odder side, and I ended up having to go to the till, as I had no idea whether anyone would come back for me to pay. read more
