Sadly, both of them left (first one so I moved to another, and then she moved away, too- wish them both the best in the world!). My review here is based solely on my experience after my stylists left since that's the business that exists now. When my second amazing person left, I took the chance on one of the other women in the salon- she said she was good friends with my previous stylist and handling her clients. I was so relieved! and then she did my hair... You can imagine what it's like to have someone say that she "didn't have the color that Tiffany used, so I substituted this other one" - this was in reply to my concern that the wet color looked different. She immediately started to pull oil through my hair because she thought it was dry. When asked, she said that applying wouldn't dye all my hair- I spent a lot of time and extra cost on having that process where they just dye pieces of hair to blend it in for a natural look. She was so very wrong on both counts- the color was very different from what I was getting, and it was all over my hair- it looked like bad box color for more than $100 dollars and two hours effort. I figured that I'd given a new stylist the old college try and would take my color card (my former stylist told me that was normal procedure if your stylist left) and try someone else in Boone. The new person refused to give me the card. I spoke with the staff, and I got put off for weeks. When I finally got the color, they gave me codes for black hair. Totally unprofessional.

I paid $67 plus a $10 tip for what was easily the worst pedicure I've ever had. To make matters worse, we were visiting from out of town, so I didn't have the option of going back to have it fixed. If you're not a local, you're taking a risk because there's no easy way to address poor service after the fact. I do not recommend Hollywood Nail Spa, especially if you're not from the area.

The morning of my appointment I arrived about 10 minutes late due to a road maintenance closure and the fact that I walked right instead of left around the building where her shop is located. Fortunately she was very understanding and non-plussed by my tardiness. I asked for a scissors only cut which she performed quickly and effectively but not in a hurry. The true test of a good haircut is how it looks a week later, 5 days in I will say that I'm very happy with the way she cut my hair. The only reason I gave a four rather than a five was the salon she works in is large with lots of people talking so it was hard to converse without getting drawn into listening to other conversations, in fact one of the other stylists made a comment about a topic I was discussing with Ms Beach. I prefer a smaller salon or one with more privacy between booths. Overall I'm happy with my cut and I will go back again.

I asked if they had walk in and they said it would be better to save a spot. I'm glad I did as they only have two chairs for pedicures. The chairs were comfortable and the water was great. Hannah was my aesthetician and she was a lovely person. We chatted like we had known each other for years. On June 11th, I made an appointment for myself and two friends Brie and Tim to be treated at 12:00…read moreat the spa in Chetola at noon on June 18th. I did have specific request for a therapist as I have been here many times prior and enjoyed being treated by Tracy. When I made my appointment, I had them look at my prior history to verify that she was still available and that I would be treated by her. Brie didn't have a specific request as far as a male or female therapist. Tim had requested a female therapist. On June 18th at precisely noon, Brie was taken directly to her appointment. My other friend and I waited another 15 minutes before somebody came out to take Tim back. It was Tracy...the therapist that I had requested. This left me with the male therapist, which I refuse to use after a very bad experience at a different spa. At this point, Brie was 15 minutes into her appointment, so there was not a way to change therapists, and the best way that I could see to resolve the situation was to give up my therapy session so that my friends could still enjoy their day. A manager came out, apologized to me and and explained that the system had changed so that there was no way to specifically request a certain therapist anymore. This confused me, as I literally just made my appointment a week ago and had there been a change to the system. I would've expected a phone call, explaining that our requests could no longer be met. I also explained that had we all been taken in on time, this issue could've been resolved, by arranging everyone as was originally agreed on with my first phone call when making the appointment. However, because two of our therapists were running 15 minutes behind this was not possible. It took a further 20 minutes for Tim to start his massage. I was told "Thank you for understanding" with no compensation offered. The therapist that I had specifically requested was completely booked for the day, and the point of this particular booking was for us to go in as a group so that we can enjoy our day. In short, I am very disappointed Chetola's lack of communication, service, and lack of compensation for my disappointing day.
