It's Sunday, so I haven't been able to get it repaired. I have a massage scheduled for tomorrow morning and called to ask if I could reschedule, explaining that even if I can get the car towed and the tire replaced first thing tomorrow, I'm unlikely to make the appointment in time. I also explained that I'm currently in town by myself and don't know anyone locally. The person I spoke with said she was trying to help by offering alternatives: take an Uber, give the massage to someone else, or take my car to Ford and use their shuttle to get to the appointment. What was frustrating was that these suggestions were offered without really taking the time to understand whether any of them were feasible. I have an undriveable car that I need to deal with first thing in the morning, and I'm here alone. It felt less like trying to understand the situation and more like finding any possible way to avoid letting me reschedule. The irony is that this appointment had just been scheduled, and after it was booked, The Care Collective contacted me to ask if I could come 15 minutes earlier for their scheduling convenience. I agreed without hesitation. Apparently, flexibility only travels in one direction. I understand that businesses have cancellation policies, and I wasn't asking for a refund--just to move the appointment because my car unexpectedly became undriveable on a Sunday. I'm also not a one-time customer. I went here regularly when I lived in Boone in 2022, recently purchased a package of 10 sauna sessions, and have easily spent more than $1,000 with this business over time. Customer service matters most when something goes wrong. I would have expected a little empathy and a one-time accommodation from a business I've supported for years. Instead, I was essentially given transportation-planning advice and told the appointment couldn't be moved. I've enjoyed the services here in the past, which makes this especially disappointing. But the lack of empathy and reasonable flexibility in this situation has completely changed how I feel about continuing to spend money here. One star for the experience. I can't review the massage, since the entire problem is that I apparently won't be able to get it.

There was evidence of disrepair and lack of upkeep throughout including out of service steam room, sauna that was not turned on, pool with water low water level, rotten deck boards, dirty couch cushions, area of drywall cut out, unlocked and open storage areas, no toiletries, the list goes on and on and on. The "spa" was unkept and unclean and made it very hard to enjoy the massage. In fact, we could not get out of there quickly enough.

I did have specific request for a therapist as I have been here many times prior and enjoyed being treated by Tracy. When I made my appointment, I had them look at my prior history to verify that she was still available and that I would be treated by her. Brie didn't have a specific request as far as a male or female therapist. Tim had requested a female therapist. On June 18th at precisely noon, Brie was taken directly to her appointment. My other friend and I waited another 15 minutes before somebody came out to take Tim back. It was Tracy...the therapist that I had requested. This left me with the male therapist, which I refuse to use after a very bad experience at a different spa. At this point, Brie was 15 minutes into her appointment, so there was not a way to change therapists, and the best way that I could see to resolve the situation was to give up my therapy session so that my friends could still enjoy their day. A manager came out, apologized to me and and explained that the system had changed so that there was no way to specifically request a certain therapist anymore. This confused me, as I literally just made my appointment a week ago and had there been a change to the system. I would've expected a phone call, explaining that our requests could no longer be met. I also explained that had we all been taken in on time, this issue could've been resolved, by arranging everyone as was originally agreed on with my first phone call when making the appointment. However, because two of our therapists were running 15 minutes behind this was not possible. It took a further 20 minutes for Tim to start his massage. I was told "Thank you for understanding" with no compensation offered. The therapist that I had specifically requested was completely booked for the day, and the point of this particular booking was for us to go in as a group so that we can enjoy our day. In short, I am very disappointed Chetola's lack of communication, service, and lack of compensation for my disappointing day.

Mike was very professional and worked on all my troubled spots. He didn't "yak" through the massage which I have experienced with some therapist. I will return to see Mike again. I called their number first and the recording said to text them at the same number, which I did. Within 30 minutes I was texted back and got my appt. They emailed me the intake form and was easily filled out and returned to them. Easy peasy!

Total $92 My son's haircut was fine, but I simply cannot justify paying that amount for a 45-minute haircut. The price was completely disproportionate to the service we received. Unfortunately, I left feeling very disappointed with the overall experience and would not return. I feel the cost was excessive for the amount of time and service provided.
